I bought an old remodel project. You channel has been incredible helpful, so thank you. I wanted to share a tip I picked up with you. I take a heat gun to one side while gently pulling the seal and it releases the glue that holds the old seal on. It pulls right off with no scrapping. I hope this helps and is a small thank you.
LOL the window falling out… then you reading through the storage hole… I couldn’t figure out where that hand was coming from. Gave me quite the giggle. Thanks for the great info!
Is the foam seal for fiberglass bodies? Edit* After watching to the end, I noticed on mine this stuff that is kinda squirted out around it and wondered what kind of seal that was. So I’m guessing fiberglass can take both kind of seals.
Yes, I use a razor blade to gently cut the excess and use silicone around the edges (minus the bottom). If water gets in, I want it to be able to get out
When renovate, assuming you sell, does seller have an inspection done? You do good work appears so no question on your work. Curious for a newbie buyer like me in a different part of the country?
I’ve never had someone bring an inspector. But, if they choose too, I’d be happy to accommodate! I don’t know specifically of people that come out just to inspect RVs, but I’m sure they’re out there 😂
Awesome job! You are a one woman fixing machine!

I wish I could help you so your not dropping windows! That would be so much fun😊
Thank you
Is it necessary to caulk around the window or is the butyl tape sufficient ?
Butyl tape is usually good enough if it’s fiberglass siding, as extra precaution, I usually caulk the top part of the window if it’s aluminum siding!

Are those stainless steel screws?
Your very informative
Just to make sure, do you remove the extra butyl tape that squished out then caulk around the edge?
