It’s amazing how far we have come with video game technology, I’m 41 years old and I still remember how cool the original Armored Core for the ps1 😂 I’m older and slower now but I think AC6 is the most fun and badass game I’ve ever played
My man, thank you! When i first fought Mechalania I tried for about 3-4 hours. Doing S rank runs and crushed her on my second try with this beast of a build! Absolutely brutal!
I finally beat him using your same build man thanks so much for the tactics and all i've been on this boss for 3 plus hours and I am so relieved to never have to play this mission again. This is by far the most painful platinum i have ever had
Yeah it took me like 2 hours the first time trying to beat the boss with my (preferred) melee AC. Then I decided to try and get all the logs n stuff during NG+ so I ran a more “meta” AC which was basically dual gats + dual needle launchers so my reruns would go more smoothly n efficiently. I got to the end and the boss just got melted it was kind of disgusting. I also ran full tank build so I basically just took every attacked, went oh well, popped a repair kit, and called it a day.
Speed alone seems to be the key here. On my successful S rank attempt i got damaged very little in the Vespers fight, took resupply (no idea if resupplying counts against your rank) and then Ibis proceeded to completely delete my face and reform it into something even a mother wont love. I ended up in deep red AP (sub 1k i think) with no repair kits and still got S rank. I also managed (somehow) to get a smidge higher score than you - was a bit above 408k. Hope this might help someone.
For me the real pain of getting s rank in this mission is the first AC fight. Wasting too much time or taking too much damage on that meaning we can’t make many mistake on Cel 240 fight. Sometimes Maeterlinck and Wu Huahai are just being stuck in some buildings.

I know this is a month old comment, but just in case you're still going with this plan I'd recommend you at least finish NG+, max out your OS tuning, buy out the store, and collect every possible battle log and collectible part before really commiting to S ranking every mission. For the easy missions, that advice doesn't really apply, and you can probably clear them any time. However, for some of the late game missions and especially the ones in NG++, you're going to want every possible advantage you can get. The first time I beat CEL 240 I used a biped build with missiles in every slot. It wasn't exactly easy, but it only took two tries. Actually, I've had good luck using that approach for several of the bosses that were giving me a hard time. It's kind of brainless, but it works. Funny story actually, when I beat CEL the first time my game was forced to reset during the cutscene just after killing the boss and didn't autosave, so I had to do the whole mission again. The game reset because, due to sheer coincidence, that was the very moment the update dropped that buffed rifles and nerfed some of the bosses, including CEL 240. If I had waited even a minute or taken slightly longer during the mission I never would have fought pre-nerf CEL 240. The timing was crazy.

I have at least half of the S Ranks for all of the missions, but I'm starting to worry there might be some that are too much for me to handle. Only time will tell I guess.
After trying this build out and messing around with my control configuration again, I came to the conclusion that an elite controller is about the only way I'm going to get through this fight. So this build, plus being able to hit 6 buttons at the same time, plus a few more hours should do the trick.
I actually had the beginning kill my run a bunch because I was being impatient and would restart if I took like 2000 damage. Watching this, I realize the damage is way more forgiving than I originally thought. The boss is tough, I did it with a Zimmie, two needle guns, and the laser lance. It was tough, but felt rewarding to get the S

What makes this boss fight dumb is that she tracks your movements. You basically can sit still and she will not track you. With exception of a few moves. I’ve beaten many times but still trying the S-rank
Bruh, never know you can still get the S Rank from this mission with the use of resupply. I thought I had to beat the CEL240 without dying and resupply so I did it.
Ive noticed this one is actually pretty forgoving oddly enough, im only on NG+ right now but i just gotta get this over with so i dont have to think about it when im going for the platinum

This is hands down the most annoying and most uncreative bods fight thus far. This fight does NOT make you want to play that mission over its more of headache than anything even in New game plus this thing is essentially a bitch. All it does is fly around. That's it. That's what makes this hard he flies around and you have to repeatedly find him over and over again. If his attacks hit you once your stuck in this annoying stun lock state and it passes you off. The only thing this boss is good for is heart attacks and high blood pressure.
I hate that bird boss I quit this game I give up I tried everything I tried shooting him blasting and giving him a hug no I didn't work at least I was overheated I tried using the needle guns but that failed miserably I quit the bird wins bird wins I give up you win bird you win
I used the laser lance and pile bunker with a zimmerman on my other hand. The laser lance and zimmerman will stun and then the pile bunker deals stupid damage. You can kill the boss in 2 stuns per phase, incredibly stressful, and some luck involved, but it worked after about 20 attempts.
Just S ranked this dumb boss. Literally one of the worst boss fights FromSoft has ever made. Too many attack variations with no clear telegraphing. Boss gets to hit you for free for like 5 seconds before its health bar comes up. The potential to 100-0 your health bar. Dumb dumb dumb.
dude this is no help this boss still kicks my ass this mech is too slow to dodge and The weapons hit like shit at mid range and requires a shit ton of luck to nail those Needle guns 2/10 buiuld edit it burns through the first phase yes, but that second phase hits and your screwed because of lack of mobility
You have to be aggressive on phase 2 and not even let it have time for super attacks. I got S rank on my second try with this build, and I've repeated it again since then as a coincidence of making another video. You need to needle gun it when it charges up for a super attack on phase 2 and you need to kill it before it turns into a fire bat and swoops around.
Yea dude just keep trying i got it on my 6th try with this build. What I recommend you do is practice the fight first. Also iincase you didn't know you cannot die if you are going for s rank. Good luck ;)
Pretty sure it took me around 3 or 4 hours to beat. You gotta commit and learn its patterns. If you have this set up you can fly super high and still have a lot of energy to doge
If you try double zimmermans + sweet sixteens on the swap and go for a fast build you should be able to 2 cycle the boss in both phases. Maybe 1:30 for the whole fight. I run a verrill head, mind alpha core, hal arms, and mind beta legs, IB-CO3B booster, the FC-006 booster, and the VP-20C chip and can do the map start to end in 6 minutes. This loadout works for just about every ac fight in the game excluding g2 michigan whose goons will run you out of ammo before you can get to him.
so if anyone needs confirmation i got my ass kicked fighting the wheel enemies (needed it for battle logs and 2 hidden enemies had like 100 health left i used my repairs) booked it towards the resupply fought the boss lost maybe health health first phase didnt really get hit too much in phase 2 still got an S rank repair costs reached 85k and ammo cost 125k if anyone needed numbers.

By the way, the wheel-chair threads are the key to mecha-malenia, they'll make you strafe fast enough to aviod her lasers and shit.

The additional maps in Newgame+ and ++ are WAY harder then anything in basegame.

When you get to the lake with the giant bridge, go towards the end of the bridge and jump down. The chest will be guarded by those wheel machines.
@dfizz23 there's another as well that I was missing, at mission start go right of the MTs fighting, on top of building is the Aurora shoulder part
