Bosses in this game have this uncanny ability to beat me before I can even learn anything. Unlike From Software's Souls games, I don't really get that feeling that I'm getting better when I fight them. I just feel like I don't have the right build, ever. You'd think a game without i-frames would have better telegraphy for its attacks. I'll be honest, I love the game but the combat in this game feels like it was made with i-frames at some point in development and they changed their minds without altering the fundamental design. *EDIT: That said, once I've gotten better at the game, I have gotten good enough to beat this boss with almost any setup from learning how to slide under him to avoid attacks, so I'm not entirely right here. There is room for growth it just happens as you play the game, not just on the fight itself.*
The problem is really just the limited healing combined with damage output of bosses being way higher. When you can be forced to use all your heals within the first 15 seconds of the fight it takes a lot longer to learn. Builds too. In souls you can do everything with whatever you want really and it doesn't add that much difficulty but in AC if you have the wrong build for that fight its something else entirely.
@@EmpyreanDreamer You don't need healing if you don't get hit, but this game feels like it's impossible to dodge everything. It's probably possible, but it's just way too hard and random. You have no s and the attacks come from multiple sides at once with AoE explosions.
@@chihuahua.abyssgard I'm sure it's possible if you literally reload to every checkpoint whenever you get hit. Someone crazy will do it until the stars align and they make it through unscathed. That said in general for even above average players getting hit is just a fact of the game.
I used the rocket gun, songbirds and the beginning sword to beat him. Songbirds+rocket gun is a guaranteed stagger per volley, then follow up with blade, rinse and repeat. Also an easy way to evade his 2 time laser cannon is to jump then just fall down, it will miss you, but you want to be in the air for the first shot so it misses going up and you don’t get hit by the explosion on the ground.
For anyone struggling with this boss. Be careful charging under it when it fires of the “fireball”. You’ll escape that damage but if you don’t back out quick enough it’ll stamp on you then hit you with another “fireball” as you try and dash away from the stagger. Got me almost every time until I build a slightly faster AC that could care both missile launchers and 2 shot grenade launchers. This build works well though since the beams recharge faster. Good luck
Beat it on my second try with this build. I actually flew up on phase two, and somehow landed on top of him and just spammed my weapons into his back! LOL! Thanks for the guide!
Using double plasma and missiles felt like I was just brute forcing it with how little damage I was doing but constantly staggering him. Only for me to find out that’s basically the intended solution.
That was extremely helpful. I was able to manage it in two tries without changing my build after your explanation. I actually found that staying somewhat close did it for me, any time it powered it's laser I boosted towards/under it which was fool proof. Before your explanation I never even got to stage 2. Also I actually let it hit me with the spin attack just so I could see it for myself, still survived and beat it that run. BTW I found the balteus fight to be very learnable with a pulse blade and pulse gun build. I just kept the pressure on him and the attacks with orbs of homing missiles are very dodgable if you keep boosting around him in a circle up close.
This is the problem I’m having. I can bring the boss down to less than 10% but I run out of ammo. I was enjoying this game until I realized that the bosses take very specific builds to beat. Unfortunate.
Kibbles. THANK YOU. I tried to beat this boss like 60-70 times and failed with other guides. Tried with this build and finally beat the boss after a few tries. This is the most frustrating and bullshit boss I've ever fought in a video game. So rage inducing. Good riddance to bad rubbish
Thanks for the guide, I was stuck on this for a few hours. First time I tried your loadout I got pretty close and lost to his arial attacks at teh end. But a couple more tries and bam. Also, a small suggestion. Because we know he is coming, it's possible to cheese him and charge shoulder guns while he opens from his egg. When he sets down, hit him, then continue.
The timing window for the fireball is so telegraphed, you will see the cannon flash a red square and in a split second you need to dodge. The horizontal laser you will see his cannon look sideways, fly as high as you can once you see that because he'll never shoot that up too high. It also tells you the height the laser will be and you just need to stay away on that height but sometimes his laser goes diagonal so be careful. The vertical laser is the easiest to dodge, just strafe. It's also the one that deals most damage so be careful.
Bless you for these tutorials! I really want to love the game but with every boss I get stuck, then i play around with my build, nothing works so I gotta come here. It's very hard for me to distinguish between when I have the wrong build and need to change it up and when I have the correct build and just need better execution. Will be back once I've beaten the Sea Spider.
For those that are still struggling, switch your weapons to gattling gun and songbirds and see if that works better for u. The build in this video may be great for certain players, but i was struggling with it. Charge weapons are awkward for me to use im just bad with them
If you’re still struggling, here’s what i used to melt him (build is at the bottom) First stage: stay on him, like “touching him” close and stagger him with the songbirds, the closer you are the easier it is to stagger Keep firing your gatling at all times, if you circle around his abdomen (below his legs) he’ll almost never land a hit on you, just learn to dodge the pounce attacks thats it Second stage: hover next to him, again really close and use the songbirds to stagger and keep firing your gatling, its really that simple Pro tip: during the 2nd phase, when you stagger him, go down to the ground, recharge your EN, use your gatling guns to do damage, then go back up to stagger him with the songbirds Weapons - Right Hand: DF-GA-08 HU-BEN - Left Hand: DF-GA-08 HU-BEN - Right Shoulder: Songbirds - Left Shoulder: Songbirds Frame - Head: HD-011 MELANDER - Core: CC-2000 ORBITER - Arms: EL-TA-10 FIRMEZA - Legs: VP-424 Booster - Booster: Buerzel/21D - FCS: FCS-G2/P05 - Generator: VP-20D
You can stagger him if you lead him as hes dropping from the roof. 4x all hand weapons and shoulder cannons will stun him. Ended up beating this mostly in the air. Shoulder cannons keep you in the air for a while you can regen your boost once before landing.
I was somehow able to speed past most of his attacks with heavy tank treads. The melee attacks are really easy to dodge, but the laser blasts are almost impossible to avoid. If you speed around him fast enough and boost at the right moment, you can avoid one of them, sometimes both. But he might shoot 3 times, in which case you are screwed.
they really went, "Lets give the players a whole bunch of parts and then FORCE them to use specific builds for specific bosses!" AC6 is fun until they pull that shit then i want to delete the damn thing
Thanks for the spinning one shot tip, that help a lot So far I learned one thing, if the boss BS me imma find a way to bug the hella of them After a few attempts, I found out that this 8 legs tin can doesn't like when we stay too close, so here I went At first phase, just stay right under the belly, bring your hottest irons, it can't do shit when you stay too close, it keep jumping you just keep diving straight under it, WHO PANIC ROLL NOW SPIDEEEE The last phase is just typical DPS check, God bless you buddy
I went the twin gats twin songbirds route. Completely melted his HP bar. They key for me was staying as close as I can while rolling under his stomp attack. Also the tetrapod legs for his second phase so I can stay airborne with him and continue to melt him.
This!! 💯🔥🔥 Bro, I’ve tried every other build but only this one really worked, if you really stay on him then youll, just like you said, melt his hp Thanks dawg!
That's the third hardest boss I have ever fought in ever fought in a fromsoftware game and there is still more coming oh my god This one killed me 18 times which is insane because at my first I thought it's gonna be easier than balteus because I got to 20% of his health on my first try but somehow it went to 18 deaths, man this game bosses are no joke
i used your weapon buid it but it turned out better to just unload like a maniac without care. got me though the 2nd phase on my first time there. thanks for the guide
It’s kinda funny how certain people struggle with certain bosses in this game. I spent hours on balteus before looking up a guide and I literally 2 shot this boss without ever changing up my load out.
So I've noticed in stage one that its charged laser attacks have a tell. For the laser attack that sweeps from one side to the other, it will turn or keep its cannon to the wide while charging. For the down to up laser cannon shot, it will charge the cannon and keep it trained on you as you strafe. Hope this helps!
I will try that out. At my first attempt, I had my Gunslinger AC (Fast AC with Handcanons/Shotguns) and could reliably dodge most of his attacks. So my direkt survivability was pretty good, but I couldn't put out enough damage to stagger him efficiently. But the game is pretty fun this far, not necessarily too difficult, but not easy either. I hope it doesn't come to a solely damage race later in the game. Best game I had played a long time.
Thanks for the guide-- was struggling with quite a few different builds before trying this one. Still took quite a few tries, but I eventually got there!
Careful about the transition, theres a period where SEA spider is immune to damage. I beat him with the armory upgrade + tetrapod legs + antienergy parts + sword + piledriver+shotgun+ 8 vertical missiles. The key to the build is that a charged piledriver will CHUNK the spider for like 1/6th of his health when staggered. It is the king of the DPS race. If you kick often, keep at close+mid range, you can stagger him pretty reliably. Don't be afraid to pildrive him early, as it does a lot of stagger damage and will probably be off cooldown by the time you've staggered him with your other weapons. Also, the spider seems to have a weakness at the very top of his armor, so my best runs where ones where I stayed close+above him. It also easier to dodge his lasers if you can just fly over him.
I got the Vvc's, then a thunder bomb missile launcher I don't remember the name of, and the Pile Bunker weapon from the trailer. I was running a light frame, so I initiated the ambush while charging the Vvc's, took two dashes back, then unleashed the shots during the entrance animation. Hovered in the air until it decided on a move to use, then started zip zapping around trying to avoid the piercing strikes. The only moves that caught me on a regular basis were the horizontal sweep laser and the spinning top in phase 2. Both remedied by good energy management and staying in the air. By the way, any move in phase 2 was a oneshot, my build was NOT optimized for bad players(me)
Coming to see other ways to beat him; I used a Laser Rifle, 2 missile pods, and a Sword and beat him relatively quickly when I switched to Reverse Joint legs. It’s just like I thought, I dodged everything very well for going in blind and still had Repair Kits left; I need to experiment with more weapons because I cleaned out my ammo when I beat him lol.
You dropped your shoulder weapon because you ran out of ammo and have auto-purge on. It's a mechanic that lets you drop weight and increase movement if you run out of ammo.
got an s rank going full Schnider reverse joint with duel shotguns, plasma missiles, pile bunker, and terminal armor, the speed and jumping lets you avoid his phase 1 melee and plasma blasts while the shotguns and missiles (along with the occasional kick) to stagger it, followed up with the charged pile bunker for damage. Phase 2, you will want to get in close with the shotguns to build up stagger but, make sure you have energy to fly for when he uses his big attacks. especially the spinning blades. Thankfully his second phase stays staggered/ vulnerable longer so it is possible to get two charged punches before his defense resets.
Setup worked for but I would recommend staying fairly close if not underneath that way the big laser won't hit you. Second phase hover above him with quad legs.
Stay directly under it, I got through it's entire first phase with all three repair kits doing this. The only time it's able to get you with a laser cannon is the couple times it launches away from you. Second phase. I just stayed above it. I used the build that is in this video.

There is room for growth it just happens as you play the game, not just on the fight itself.*
or having more consistent and precise hitboxes, i cant tell you the amount of bs hits ive taken from attacks i was nowhere near
@@brockbabcock3086 BS
@@chihuahua.abyssgard I'm sure it's possible if you literally reload to every checkpoint whenever you get hit. Someone crazy will do it until the stars align and they make it through unscathed. That said in general for even above average players getting hit is just a fact of the game.
bro you saved me i've been stucked with this boss for a day, i did it first try with your build
Thanks for the guide I went with songbirds as that did massive impact damage and kept the boss staggered a lot more.
Good stuff Brother 🔥🔥🔥 Helped a ton!!✌️Lethalronin
A speed build with two submachine guns makes this fight so easy. The only problem is you run out of ammo before you can beat the boss
This is the problem I’m having. I can bring the boss down to less than 10% but I run out of ammo.
I was enjoying this game until I realized that the bosses take very specific builds to beat. Unfortunate.
@@teutoncross3817 Found a solution, get an OS upgrade called weapon Bay. Allows you to bring in extra SMGs in place of your shoulder weapons!
Same @@teutoncross3817
Thanks for the video! The strategy worked perfect. I picked grenade launchers on shoulders on mine but damn! That pile driver is nuts. Thanks again
Thanks for the guide. FINALLY beat that boss!
Kibbles.
Man just the tip about dodging into is attacks helped so much
Copied this build and did it after 3 tried. Lost to him 13 times yesterday thank m8 You've earned a sub!
Thanks again man, with your help i beat this boss with only two tries.
Ok I did it one LITERALLY THE FIRST TRY with your build, wow
@@Lifelover992011
I used the same back parts but dual Gatling guns.
thank you, beat it first try with this build after many failed attempts.
Thanks man, this boss is kicking my ass with my current build and have trouble destroying the boss.
For those that are still struggling, switch your weapons to gattling gun and songbirds and see if that works better for u. The build in this video may be great for certain players, but i was struggling with it. Charge weapons are awkward for me to use im just bad with them
If you’re still struggling, here’s what i used to melt him (build is at the bottom)
First stage: stay on him, like “touching him” close and stagger him with the songbirds, the closer you are the easier it is to stagger
Keep firing your gatling at all times, if you circle around his abdomen (below his legs) he’ll almost never land a hit on you, just learn to dodge the pounce attacks thats it
Second stage: hover next to him, again really close and use the songbirds to stagger and keep firing your gatling, its really that simple
Pro tip: during the 2nd phase, when you stagger him, go down to the ground, recharge your EN, use your gatling guns to do damage, then go back up to stagger him with the songbirds
Weapons
- Right Hand: DF-GA-08 HU-BEN
- Left Hand: DF-GA-08 HU-BEN
- Right Shoulder: Songbirds
- Left Shoulder: Songbirds
Frame
- Head: HD-011 MELANDER
- Core: CC-2000 ORBITER
- Arms: EL-TA-10 FIRMEZA
- Legs: VP-424
Booster
- Booster: Buerzel/21D
- FCS: FCS-G2/P05
- Generator: VP-20D
Ps, you can dodge through his legs during that spinny beyblade attack, but only if you’re already very close to him
Damn twice you've gotten me out of a bind. Thanks for putting out videos like this
Just tried the Build and strategy and after many attempts previously... I got my Win! Great video 😄
I changed from tank to those legs of yours and beat him on first try lol! Before with tank legs he killed me like 12 times. Thank you!
You can stagger him if you lead him as hes dropping from the roof. 4x all hand weapons and shoulder cannons will stun him. Ended up beating this mostly in the air. Shoulder cannons keep you in the air for a while you can regen your boost once before landing.
Thank you I have been stuck on this boss for hours and when I found your guide I did it first try using this build your a god send
Had a little trouble narrowing down his moves but this vid helped alot thanks
Good guide! I switched to the weapons and the fight went much smoother.
Quad leg makes most of this fight a breeze since you can stay above his melee and even the flying mode easily while you hammer away.
I was somehow able to speed past most of his attacks with heavy tank treads. The melee attacks are really easy to dodge, but the laser blasts are almost impossible to avoid. If you speed around him fast enough and boost at the right moment, you can avoid one of them, sometimes both. But he might shoot 3 times, in which case you are screwed.
i’ve had him shoot me 4 times. dodged 1, then i got stun locked and died
I just stayed close to him in case of that laser blasts 🤔
they really went, "Lets give the players a whole bunch of parts and then FORCE them to use specific builds for specific bosses!" AC6 is fun until they pull that shit then i want to delete the damn thing
I was liking this game. But every time I die to this boss I’m liking it less and less
Thanks for the spinning one shot tip, that help a lot
So far I learned one thing, if the boss BS me imma find a way to bug the hella of them
After a few attempts, I found out that this 8 legs tin can doesn't like when we stay too close, so here I went
At first phase, just stay right under the belly, bring your hottest irons, it can't do shit when you stay too close, it keep jumping you just keep diving straight under it, WHO PANIC ROLL NOW SPIDEEEE
The last phase is just typical DPS check, God bless you buddy
I went the twin gats twin songbirds route. Completely melted his HP bar. They key for me was staying as close as I can while rolling under his stomp attack. Also the tetrapod legs for his second phase so I can stay airborne with him and continue to melt him.
This!! 💯🔥🔥
Bro, I’ve tried every other build but only this one really worked, if you really stay on him then youll, just like you said, melt his hp
Thanks dawg!
That's the third hardest boss I have ever fought in ever fought in a fromsoftware game and there is still more coming oh my god
This one killed me 18 times which is insane because at my first I thought it's gonna be easier than balteus because I got to 20% of his health on my first try but somehow it went to 18 deaths, man this game bosses are no joke
Dude you’re awesome, took one try to beat him after watching your guide - thank you!
Thanks very much for the boss mechanics and tips, really helpful
i used your weapon buid it but it turned out better to just unload like a maniac without care. got me though the 2nd phase on my first time there. thanks for the guide
For me running out of ammo all the damn time is the real challenge which is not fun
Your build helped me out, with some minor adjustments. I swapped out to the tank treads. 🤓
Omg thank you so much i was stick on this boss for hrs
If you dodge opposite directions on the spaced Lazer attack he'll generally miss, the second Lazer is always leads a little bit.
Best game I had played a long time.
was struggling with my build, switched to yours, beaty it first try. subbed
Oh my god that was difficult. Thank you for the tips! Took me like 3 days
W build this got me through it after about 4 tries of trial and error thank you so much for the aid
Thanks for the guide-- was struggling with quite a few different builds before trying this one. Still took quite a few tries, but I eventually got there!
Just beat it with the tetrapod and full laser build, came out with 1 ap. Thanks vid, and Terminal Armor.
You can actually land on top of the boss while he’s flying to regain your boost. You can do phase 2 without ever touching the ground.
Hey man than you so much for the tips! Used pretty much everything you said and it worked after a few tries.
Thank you this worked! Though its a real pain the fingers tapping the tiggers all the time
Careful about the transition, theres a period where SEA spider is immune to damage.
You ejected one laser cannon, I ejected BOTH right as the boss died. Apparently that happens when you run out of ammo lol
Thanks for the help, dude.
Definitely trying this out. Been stuck on this boss for a while
Loved the detailed breakdown with video footage, Thank you 🙏
I got the Vvc's, then a thunder bomb missile launcher I don't remember the name of, and the Pile Bunker weapon from the trailer.
By the way, any move in phase 2 was a oneshot, my build was NOT optimized for bad players(me)
Omg 😂 thank you. Literally been working on him for like 2 hours. Finally beat him with this build. Haha
Coming to see other ways to beat him; I used a Laser Rifle, 2 missile pods, and a Sword and beat him relatively quickly when I switched to Reverse Joint legs. It’s just like I thought, I dodged everything very well for going in blind and still had Repair Kits left; I need to experiment with more weapons because I cleaned out my ammo when I beat him lol.
this weapon setup, along with the tetrapod legs for hover, made this fight an absolute pushover
Man had trouble and built a certain build but I do love videos on this
Would the tetra pod legs be good for this build since they have decent weight capacity, and prolonged hover capability?
This build with tetrapod worked for me. This was the one boss I struggled with for some reason. But it made me a better player.
