By using the bottem string (A) you only pluck that string as that’s the string the numbers are on. Such as if there’s a 0 beside it you pluck the string with no notes if there’s a 2 then place your finger on the second fret and if there’s a 3 place your finger on the third fret and so on, hope this helps!
