It has what looks like 5 frames of animation to tell the difference, so it's there but doesn't effectively give a good tell compared to all the other attacks. Develop that twitch motor movement or get hit ig.
if i could just erase this dogsh&t spin bs move then this will be my fav B2 boss ever. i lowkey have been literally doing no hit with this guy for like 3 hours( i can avoid all his other moveset and even maximum punish him often getting in 6 hits in every window) then he instak&lls me with his bs spin. either i get soften up with hit by his spin projectile , and if you get caught in his spinning blade then he stunlocks you into a 2nd spin move basically instak&lling you like elden ring boss. oh also did i mention sometimes he changes direction of his spin 50% of times midway during his spin combo, meaning even if you jump over him in the centre of screen 50% times he will track u and change his direction and catch+functionally 1sh0t stunlock you. i have no trouble predicting or anticipating his spin but still dafqer often gets me. fqdisguy. and fqdis boss. at least i had lotta fun with his all other moveset i guess wasted my whole morning
PSA: If any of you are struggling with this (or any other boss), conjure the following Resonances: - Alchemical Time (The Ecstatics Novice + Nacimiento) - The Path of the Believer (Cástula + Trifón) - Damage Resonances for your Favorite Weapon Make sure your Guilt is 0% before entering the boss fight and use the Flasks to inflict heavy DPS at the Boss!
there a really good strategy, whenever he slams his sword on the floor with the grunt, dash to his back and he ll try to sweep you, you can parry that and get a lot of dmg in and continue for about 3-4 times
This works in the first fight but in the second he reads you and slams the sword backwards, unless you dash through on the last frame of the animation. It's possible but much harder to do than in the first fight for not much gain versus just parrying the first hit.
About the Altarpieces, I used: - The Thief + Tirso - The Guide + Cierzo - Castula + The Traitor - The Sisters + Lebeche About the Rosary Beads, I used: Pewter Tears, Traitor's Gaze, Votive Offering Claimed by Rust, Bloodstained Chain Link
This boss looks like it will take me another 12 hours or more to beat, great!
I like the spin animations has nothing to tell if it comes...good design
