Installed a ACS on my 930m last week. I spot-welded a light weight piece of 1" angle iron to the chute itself where the gap is between the chute and the deck (cut down 95% of the grass clippings on the spindle assembly etc.)

Thanks for the help. I did notice that your spring bolt nut only needs to be tightened to where the nut is completely on the bolt so that the lock nut will not move.. yours is tightened down all the way which is causing your spring to bind up a little bit.

Like someone else said, back that locknut off almost all the way until the threads just come thru it and your spring will be straight. Also you're locking the lever all the way back which makes it hard to push. Tighten the bolts that have the nylon washers enough that they hold the chute open without having to lock it back but still allow you to push it forward. That's what the nylon washers are for.

If you would have followed your instructions when installing, it tells you to just start the locknut until the threads start to come through the nut ,and your spring will be straight

you could put a piece of tubing over the bolt, snug the nut and flat washer against the tubing then install the spring over the tubing. just the way the deck is finished the plate doesn't seal well. is it possible to grind some off or is that support welded in too close for that?

How bulky is it once put on? When in the up position how far out does it stick or over hang?? Looking to put one on my 61” scag cheetah

Make sure you take the weight of the tweels over the winter so they do not develop flat spots.

Yep. I pulled out the mower after sitting for only 3 weeks and there were already flat spots starting. They were gone within 1 yard, but still. Thanks.

Glad I came across this video. I have a 2013 Z920m and was looking at the ACS. After having it for a couple years are you happy with it or would you recommend another brand? Any way you could post a quick video of it while mowing with it down? Thanks and keep up the good work.

Does it fall down by itself when you hit bumps?

wonder if something like that would fit my x540

Garden tractor? probably not. I'm pretty sure they would only fit on ztr's, but I'm not sure. With the way the lever folds back when the chute is open, there may be some clearance issues.

Just loosen that nut up until the spring doesn’t touch the bolt. Problem solved
