Something to note, when I changed the oil filter gasket, I mistakenly put the new gasket on the old one and It developed a bad leak later on. I have since repaired it, but be sure to check for the old gasket!

John Deere Z920m 100 hour update

PLEASE UNDERSTAND My comments about the overall striping with this mower are nit picky. It is by no means a flaw of this mower. This mower and deck stripe very well. I was only stating that there could be a bit more. Thanks again for watching!

John Deere Lawn Tractors: Cold Starts and Minor Service
Thanks for the help. I did notice that your spring bolt nut only needs to be tightened to where the nut is completely on the bolt so that the lock nut will not move.. yours is tightened down all the way which is causing your spring to bind up a little bit.
Would it have been asking too much to properly light the scene so one could see what the fuk you were doing under the machine?
Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho
Carro show carro espetacular
Carro maravilhoso
Yeah, I had mice issues. So I got to figure out how I'm going to clean the air ducts.

Like someone else said, back that locknut off almost all the way until the threads just come thru it and your spring will be straight. Also you're locking the lever all the way back which makes it hard to push. Tighten the bolts that have the nylon washers enough that they hold the chute open without having to lock it back but still allow you to push it forward. That's what the nylon washers are for.
When I got my JS 40 John Deere push mower a guy that I got from said it was for free. He started it up in the engine push rods were bent like hex so he had to put a new engine on it.
I have this mower and don't know if the issue is common to all zero turn mowers, Kubota or this particular model but if you use it on clumpy field, this machine will beat the crap out of you. The machine rides like it has no suspension. It's like riding an old go-cart. My other issue is the cut quality. It leaves a somewhat uncut line of grass. I had bought new blades and had my guys install them but it did not fully solve the problem. Maybe they did something wrong but I would assume that Kubota made it idiot proof so that the blades go only one way. Power. It definitely could use a bit more. When I get into a field with thick, knee high grass the mower cannot handle it. Other than that, it is built pretty tough. The cutting deck is definitely as thick I had seen.
theyre in mine too except its a LOT worse
I want to buy that right now.
This is not only helpful for John Deere. But helpful for any kind of mow!! Best video I’ve found!! Well done
Do these have the Ogura brake blade clutches? I'm looking for one if possible or a conversion kit to put a Warner on it ...Part # AM 121495
My kohler 25hp efi lets out a plume of smoke from time to time.
If the levers work hard you need to replace the damper. I had one of mine do that . I replaced them works fine.
Scags are junk. John Deere dealer are assholes. I run exmark zero problems.
Do you have a video review of the 3520 operating components?
It’s been 7 years I reckon, do you still have it and have you had any problems with it?
Does anyone have a part number for the left side tuff torq wheel motor for a John Deere z810a? I was told all z800 series will work.
Great job and great video
praying this is my issue haha
They are excellent mowers I’m about to buy a 2005 lazer z 52” with the same mower has 1200 hours but comes with a trailer with a ramp and box for 3500.
If it isn't consistently starting, you need to check the valve clearances and make sure they are in spec. I have a 6.5 OHV Briggs that would't start very easy and it would surge alot. It started easier when cold and was very hard to start unless I primed it when it was already warm. I cleaned the carb a few times then went right to valve specs and they were out of spec. I adjusted them and never had trouble since.
How do you disengage transmission to move if it won't start?
This Kubota 700 series is a good mower. Flat tires & a nut falling off 1 fastener is certainly annoying, but hardly qualifies as a deal breaker or reasons to look at more expensive names. Kubota service in our area is top notch, & I believe when anybody doesn't properly clean equipment, it results in issues. I believe great dealership support is critical to your overall satisfaction. Most cannot grasp how hard our equipment works for us. We unknowingly bring on many problems for ourselves, as we are not fully versed in all aspects from proper operation to maintenance. & especially cleaning & properly greasing these machines. If you think you can do better than Kubota overall in the 700 series, in both safety & robustness? Better get after it. These mowers have a great (& low) CG, & will keep the shiny side up on bad slopes, when others will not.
Bu I like the way you design
Favorite mower!
I'm 830 i doesn't work the right side can be rebuilt
I have that same question?
I'm still using mine, mine is the JS-40 with the 8.75 engine, still looks and runs like new. I still have the sales receipt, manual and all that stuff. Bought it back in April of 07 after my son tried to mow a pipe sticking out of the ground and successfully destroying our Toro. I think he did it on purpose thinking he wouldn't have to mow the lawn anymore. The thing with this mower is that it's just a Snapper, I had a Snapper back in the day and it was a pain with how the chute was designed/ plugged up all the time real easy and this mower is the same design and the chute plugs up real easy just the same. John Deere bought Snapper and used their designs. I have had to replace one drive wheel that cracked/broke and every so often I have to clean the grass that gets packed into the wheel gear teeth stopping them from running. The one real bad thing this mower has done ever since it was new is it starts cold just great but when I shut it off it floods and will not start again. It will start again if I yank on the pull cord 50,000 times and then it will chug to life blowing black smoke until it clears out, or I have to let it sit for 15-20 minutes then it will start. I just tie the break handle down so it just runs until I am finished. Thing I am wondering is if the drive gear box needs service? oil/grease? Never have done anything with it.
👍👍
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
I wish I looked at different mowers before buying a Kubota Z726X what a pos this mower turned out to be. Only has 300.3 Hours on it and I have changed two coils, the Fuel pump, Starter, and one spindle. Cost me over 12k and I was going to trade it in and they were only going to give me 4300.00 for it. Never again Kubota for a lawn mower-Love my L3901 Tractor the mower sucks
This mower is the last mower you will ever buy they last forever with the kawasaki engine keep up the great work, I have 2 of these fantastic mowers.
*PURE LAZINESS* to not stop and pick up the friggin’ soccer ⚽️ ball! 👎🏽
you are a mechanic's mechanic
Is that a single hood? My Lx255 has a lower hood and an upper hood, I would like to replace them with a single hood.
I have one too and would love to know if there is a single hood instead of a two piece
Where did u find ac lines they are not on Amazon
Bellissima😍😚
I have one of the 14SB mowers ... 20 years old this year ! Regular maintenance with the exception of a new transmission belt last year ... still runs great !
If they have so much grass taking a week to mow why don't they have a widepath mower?
There are no decks out there that are better than the 7 iron decks by JD. One piece of stamped out steel vs welded ones
Nice set up!
Nice mower
Not easy doing with one hand for sure. Thanks for the tutorial video!
Great video, thank you
my 430w does that exact same death wobble, but i think my issue is in my tierods
I just got one of these. Not familiar with them. Mine ended up having wheels off a craftsman put on to it. Sucked. I took the transmission cover off. Completly missing every thing. Transmission, all four wheels, hubs, the adjusters for cutting height, the gears that turn the wheels. The ad looked good to, has the bag, and all. But inexperience got me on this one. A lawn mower guy would of instantly of knew. Cost me 50 bucks. The part prices are unreasonable, so I'm scraping it. 300 dollars plus. Also the drive cable was missing, and there was two of them, 53 dollars a piece, just for the cables. It's a shame what people do their stuff. The deck is completely solid too, with a strong running engine.
I just started flipping mowers. Dont know much of brands and models yet. Any ways. I seen the js 40 listed for 40 bucks. It has two high wheels in the back, and two little ones in front. Definitely craftsman mowers wheels. But i didnt put that together until I got home. I took the cover off the transmission area. Completly missing everything. Transmission, the hubs, the wheel adjusters, gears everything. Then the prices of parts are unrealistic for profit to be made. I have a Toro personal pace mower deck everything's there. I got the engine mounted to the deck and belt actually lines up good with the trans. Only thing though, is I believe the john deere is a 21 inch, while the toro has a 22inch cut. So I might just throw it all in the parts shed, and let a scrapper have it at the end of the season. Win some lose some I guess.
