Been getting into slipjoints myself as of late. Carried locking folders all my life but there is something to the simplicity of a good slipjoint. I've been trying to get my hands on a GEC 71 but in its short supply, I've settled on its Italian made cousin the maserin scout for now. It's a very well made sodbuster style knife, fit and finish is exceptional, especially compared to some of the higher end case knives I recently picked up. Thanks for the content, great review!

I love both the Ohio River Jack and Jack Wolf's slip joints. A year ago, I, too, would not have given much thought to slip joints. However, the quality of the knives is fantastic.

Yeah I'm a huge fan of all of those you mentioned. I'm a little surprised that I enjoy this black ORJ better than the titanium one but with the spear point and the black Micarta and being a little bit lighter it's just jets up there for me. Thanks man
I have 3 of those, exact same Midnight is my favorite, lava Vampire is next and I have a ORJ sheepsfoot in green micarta that I really like as well my top 3! Never thought I’d get back into slippys super cool!
I used a sheepdog xl once to cut up a pork chop at a birthday dinner using my knife in a setting like that is one of my favorite things to do with my knives. As for slip joints I own 1 that I won on the very first KF live stream I ever attended I think it's a queen brown sawcut bone wharncliffe great video man

The Ohio jack is my favorite modern slipjoint, but I still carry a SAK the most! I got the pinion in the mail yesterday very nice and congratulations on 5500 !

Can't afford a Jack Wolfe. So my favorite is the Viper Hug. I have the lionsteel best man which is nice but not the best. I have 3 GEC knives that I am disappointed with. I'd say my favorites are my vintage hen and roosters, my Davis custom, and my ka-bar dog heads.
The Jack wolf knives are sweet but there is something about that Ohio River Jack I love how those look. I love to see slipjoints becoming as popular as they have. Collecting Case knives with my dad got me into the hobby
