Mr. Lee is not only one the most incredible guitarist of all times but more, he is probably the sweetest human being that I have ever met in my whole life in the music scene, Happy 80th birthday !!!!

Proud to say I saw Albert play with Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, and Johnny Winter on June 12, 1979 at the old Chicago Stadium. Amazing show!
At that show. Couldn't hear a thing in that terrible sounding barn. But outstanding talent.
I saw him with Eric in 1979 and 1983 at the old Capitol Center in Largo, Maryland.

Saw Albert playing in the Salutation Hotel Perth Scotland. After the show, he stopped at every table and chatted away. Sat at our table for 20 minutes. What a great guy he is. So talented and humble.
I saw him live on tour with Clapton in Billings, MT in 1981!

I was at the London gig. Great night. Vince showed up with an acoustic but left his tele behind - so no hot licks fireworks. Albert’s son Wayne showed he is a demon on keyboards. Daughter Alex and dad did “Let it Be me” and granddaughters performed “Crying in the rain”. A real family affair

Albert might not have been having a good day, and he did say it would have been a while since he had last picked up a guitar. You couldn't fool me with the alchemy he made come out of this one when he was holding it. I should think anyone who thinks themselves a decent player would want to live up to what he can do, and I am hardly conscious of everything he's done myself.
Love Albert Lee but tainted by the fact that I accidentally flashed him, with my camera that is, at point blank range as he was walking off stage from an Everlys show in the 80's. Yes Albert that was me, so sorry please forgive me, but I'll never forgive myself esp with the look you gave me...probably couldn't see me with temporary blindness 😅. You're a good man, so skilled, so talented. Hate me, but still love ya
