crazy coincidence as I'm designing and building something just like this! My design is leaving a lot more room for the hydraulic power packs and batteries in the center but this animation give me hope I can achieve my goal of making a creepy robotic thing
It took me till the ball scooping to realize it wasn't real lol. Great graphics and nice design. You should make this into a pc video game for robot wars :D control pc robots with your phone by tilting and such!
Do you upload the finished blender files anywhere? I would love to look at some of your simulations on my own, and kind of learn how to do what you're doing.
Can you give some numbers for the "hexcavatorpod" simulation... specifically wondering, how big is it? what's its mass? and how powerful are the hydraulics?
arthur, who said it was real? No one and if we use a little logic, the animation was created with "Blender" as stated in the description and my screen name is "Blender Rookie". So, who's the "tool"?
Did you use inverse kinematics for the positioning of the legs of the hexcavator when mimicking phone movements with the body? Also, how did you program the sort of natural mechanical jerk every time a piston starts?
Tetrachromia Mechanical jerk and vibrations are natural physical reactions due to inertia and relative masses. Hexapod is entirely dynamic, only hydraulic cylinders are pumped, but yes, the phone drives an IK proxy that the hydraulic cylinders use as a guide.
is it possible to convert the amount of force(s) required to an amount of power required, for say, the mimic the phone, routine? like, what size hp motor might be required?
Ten year ago I told people I wanted to do this with my SPIDEE-1 robot. Problem? Used backhoe arms would cost $$$$$ and most of the companies (like CAT) wouldn't even talk to me. Maybe I should run a Kickstarter and see if anyone wants it to happen.
TOP NOTCH ! the design is exquisite ! ? question i wnt to ask u as this hexapod is designed in blender one thing if it is in the practical perspective view how u r operating that main hyraulic actuators ???????? using pump or motor nd i wnt to knw if in case u r using the pump then how u r operating a three cylinders at a time although its a design nly ........... but in practical world how v r going to do this ? cn u please forwrd ur EMAIL ID
Hi, this looks great! Can you please shed some light how exactly it was made? I'm willing to explore Blender capabilities in the robotic simulations area. Controlling the 3d objects remotely seems no problem, but not inside running physics simulation. Could you please tell what APIs did you use? Or was it not Blender, but a Blender Game Engine?
Caleb Voisine-Addis Cycles CPU (denoised). My GPU is not supported (too old) by any recent render engines, tried several, Cycles had least overhead with deform motion blur animation.

Wow that looks so real!
We are currently building a robot with 6 legs. You really caught my eye with this,,,great job, and thanks for sharing all your hard work.
This took me longer than I'm willing to admit to realize that it wasn't real.
+IAN 4000 same here
+IAN 4000 Me too.
Me too.
IAN 4000 haha me to
Ooooooooooooo shut up
Man, you know to much about blender! For real though that was incredibly impressive!
This is crazy! I need to learn blender badly.
m2
WOW! That looks so real!
PHYMEC IS BACK!
Who the noob is Phymec I never seen him on TH-cam before I now know he possibly majors in graphical robotic simulations.
I'm still not convinced that's not real! Amazing job...
Very nice animations and physics
I just think it's reality. All what I wanna say is just AWESOME!!
It took me till the ball scooping to realize it wasn't real lol. Great graphics and nice design.
You should make this into a pc video game for robot wars :D control pc robots with your phone by tilting and such!
Animation is amazing
I am glad I know enough about hydraulics to spot right away you need a large tank of liquid to move all those parts
I wonder how physically strong they are and how much they can handle I tried looking that up on the web but nothing came up!
Love your Blender physics videos and addons. I hope you have time to do some more this year :)
Phymec, you are a fucking genius.
Do you upload the finished blender files anywhere? I would love to look at some of your simulations on my own, and kind of learn how to do what you're doing.
Amazing video
This is pretty fucking cool.
nice animation
Nice animation kid! Realy good. Keep the good work!
Amazing work!
Amazing. Beautify made.
Can you give some numbers for the "hexcavatorpod" simulation... specifically wondering, how big is it? what's its mass? and how powerful are the hydraulics?
I actually thought this was real until I got to the part with the balls.
+jamie yello That's what she said!
+TsiratiugZ
no
No matter what I wrote....it wouldn't have been that.
Would be really interesting to see what's behind the hood.
Dud I got to hand it to you. This is awesome! Salute!
Just like Lego Exo Force's Striking Venom
Very nice Video!
The idea is very good an the result is awesome.
wow really cool!
Wooooow :o
thanks for sharing!
I love that its absolutely Amazing!!.
MORE VIDEOS PLEASE!
woa nice! love the motion capture thing
JEEEZ, You slammed my mind, You slammed my mind, You slammed my mind :D :D :D
very great !
That was amazing..
arthur, who said it was real? No one and if we use a little logic, the animation was created with "Blender" as stated in the description and my screen name is "Blender Rookie". So, who's the "tool"?
رائع احسنت ---------good Nais
Cool!
awesome
Nice
dang!! this is super cool dude!!
WOOW!
Great CG video. Solidworx possibly?
Hes back!
Who the noob is Phymec I never seen him on TH-cam before I now know he possibly majors in graphical robotic simulations.
Realy that was sooooooooooo! Cool and amazing
it so nice
Hello kind sir. Thats some very neat stuff!!
Please tell us how did you make those hydraulic hoses? Your description isnt as detail.
nice
I admire you!
Phymec Cool!
Awsome
Please come back and create more inspiring videos!
wtf nice

I wasn't even thinking that it's cgi till 2:50
way way way müthiş mükemmel harika güzel süperrrrr ellerine emeğinize yürüreğine sağlık likeeeeeeee bende gelsin süüüüüüpprrr 👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👌👌
How we creatures this on our home... What are the basic needs for this
when I use the riged body effect, I can't make it longer than 250 frames! can someone help me?
thx!
beautiful! hey what is the software you use for 3d animations?! Id love to learn how to use it!! thanks!
Is this in game engine or 3D viewport?
Nice work;)
wow! super genius! how is the pressure generated?
Hi .I like your robotic arm. I have some questions? can i use it under water nearly 4 m depth?
Ten year ago I told people I wanted to do this with my SPIDEE-1 robot. Problem? Used backhoe arms would cost $$$$$ and most of the companies (like CAT) wouldn't even talk to me. Maybe I should run a Kickstarter and see if anyone wants it to happen.
Do what? animate it in 3D?
Great!!!!!
Good
Its not home-made but computer made
Is this robot of some sort of project you are claimed to building sooner or later for some task force application.

Vijay Sh guy really! Did you miss the whole blender part? Smh
I-t-'-s a fucking A-N-I-M-A-T-I-O-N it's not reL it's digital art yo!
wow its awesome :o
it looks like you at least have some idea of whats going on...
After reading the comments I realized this was not real, and I use Blender...
WOW !
Sir how to it make please give some idea about it.
Hi, this looks great! Can you please shed some light how exactly it was made?

Same @Dmitry Pryadkin
You should upload more vids
How did you rig the eight legs to work?
Which designing do you have used ?

Is it real-time and how did you make the engines?
I mean the hydraulic things
What I mean by that is did you animate the pistons/hydraulics that are connected to the thing?
how to make it
Is this program free? And what are its applications for? Is it open source for coding?
