Well done through your clear explaination;, however, not explained few points related to the column and beam. Questions : 1. 12" ×12" column needs how many 16mm or 20mm deformed bar? 2. Beam: 14" (inch) dropped X 12" wide 25 ft long beam needs how many 16mm or 20 mm bars ? 3. Practical Senerio to be considered 6 storied structure Or 4. 10 storied structure To be Appreciated if you take my requested as a voluntary contributor and to the g+ VIEWERS.
For a room 30' x 35' residential how many columns do you recommend? Excellent video. What are the specifics you speak about. Thank You in advance. Hector
Sir could u pls tell me or make the new video for mega building required column & wht will be size of that columns , sir as per ur previous video of 16.40 feet colmn distance & wht will be depth of this column fr 16.40 feet distance column .
When giving the minimum & max recommended distance, tell us what will happen if we drop distance below least. And what will happen if we make more than 5m or 7.5m
Hi sir.question how about the load of the building? simple residential houses what is your recommendation size of the column? How about the schedule of load?
Dear Sir, I liked your discussion on this topic. However, could you mention any reference or available design code on which you based? I asked this because of to be confidential to refer source in formal research work or publications.
There are numerous halls having span of more than 30,40 fts So what will happen to safety of these halls in your opinion. Which design principle have fixed such distance of 5m or 7.5m . Our IS code permit every span provided span/depth ratio, deflection criteria is fulfilled.
Please let me know that how to reinforce a 12*16 feet wide slab also tell about dia of bars used in this & beams reinforcement details (dia of bars, bent up bars etc) for this slab
Sir pl advice --- I want to construct a g+1 house dimensions are 20' x 50' with base isolation at tie beam leval (tie beam attached to the floor ) Tie and all beam and the columns would be rectangular 14'x10' with 6 tmt rebars 4 of 16mm 2of 12mm stirrups of 8 mm I want to span the columns for the 20'side by two columns and 50'side by 14' spans and 8' cantilever =50 ' Base isolation at tie beam level is such that 5 ft column from regular base plate design would be aligned using a beam connecting all columns(5') The top of these columns would have a reverse base plate a steel sheet would be embossed on the surface of that plate now isolated column bottom of which too would be embossed with steel plate would rest on the said reverse base plate The corner would be reinforced in such a way that in extreme seismic conditions the structure would play by 6 ' and restricted within that Objective of this structural design is disconnecting the flow of seismic energy into the structure My apprehensions are the building tipping off under extreme earthquake conditions laterally as the building is not at all anchored Last can the above design of columns and beams support the 20 by 14foot spans under dynamic conditions Notable points are the dead weight or self weight of the rcc slab chat will be reduced to 4' thickness compensating the entire construction (superstructure) by M20+ RCC please advice
Hi Sir , Ours is g+2 ,There were 11pillars in ground floor due to plan change in first floor center pillar was removed in first floor plan so distance between two column became 20 feet so builder added beam which now is 20 feet long i am bothered weather it sustain load
Distance and space between two column In mega project we decrease the distance between 2 column Distance between 2column in normal building-5m Min distance-2. 5 m Maximum distance-7. 5m
Sir can we make different spans in a same building like one block has 22'x26' column to column distance while the other block of same building has 18'x20' column to column distance ?
its just simple, by making schedule (by making well presentable data table) which has details like beam or column name (which are general denoted by giving name such as c1, c2, c3, etc for column and this same way it is used for beam b1, b2, b3, etc) then their dimension details such as its depth, length, etc then it also contain bbs (bar bending schedule), etc. this is then attached with plan, section, and elevation and on the basis of this material further calculation are done which are required for site work such as quantity survey (quantity sheet are made), estimate for concreting, labour, steel, etc. then on the basis of this they also manage their project (different task which is related to site work are plan, task such as when to cast slab, beam, column, brick masonry wall, etc things are plan). if sometimes this material ( such as plan, section, elevation, and bbs) is not sufficient for further calculation. in that case architect or engineer have to prepare detail call outs, 3d views, isometric drawings, animation (walkthroughs), models, etc
Sir I have a question.. There are some standards of reinforcement methods.. eg.. American standard, British Standard, Indian Standard.. etc. I need their detail. Plz help
Thanks sir for u speaking english becuase of i am from east africa espically somalia keep going sir
Hi
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS EXCELLENT WORK. THANK YOU!
True
Thank you so much sir.....!
I love ur each n every tutorial even it would be far better if u teach that in URDU/HINDI ......
You can increase the difference between columns by increasing the breadth and depth of beam .
LOVELY YOUR VIDEOS EXCELLENT WORK. THANK YOU! MU DOUBT IS CLEAR
Good guidance. Thanks a lot

Valuable information. Thanks
Thanks..your explanation is clear and informative
Bhai Camera konsa use kr Rahe ho best clearity
Depth of column is different from cross section of column.Proper use of terminology is very important in videos being watched by general public.
U should use term width of coloumn supporting longer axis beam
What grade of concrete? Sht
Depth of the 'beam' between the columns will increase on increasing the column to column distance. Dimensions of the column will also increase
Thanks for the video.
What should cross section of column ?
Sir post video for foundation process for both normal building , commercial building and tech parks .. Please sir
Manoj Singh wat
Some cases especially for airport and auditorium...etc. span between two columns are considering 12 meters
For a room 30' x 35' residential how many columns do you recommend? Excellent video. What are the specifics you speak about. Thank You in advance. Hector
Assalamualaikum sir ur video is helpful me thq for ur valuable video.
Sir could u pls tell me or make the new video for mega building required column & wht will be size of that columns , sir as per ur previous video of 16.40 feet colmn distance & wht will be depth of this column fr 16.40 feet distance column .
How to design 40ft column distance..
Amazing God bless you
Great sharing
Thank you
Vry Useful .. ..
Sir
What is the exact coulmn size used for 16 feet & 24 feet distance
For 3 Storey building
नमस्कार सर मैं देख रहा हूं काठमांडू नेपाल से आपको बहुत बहुत आभार प्रकट करते हुए स्वागत है आप सभी को
Good information thanks a lot sir 👍
How much overhang is to be left from corner of the building while placing the column?
Thanks for upload this video :)
Good job
You are very nice, thank you.
When giving the minimum & max recommended distance, tell us what will happen if we drop distance below least. And what will happen if we make more than 5m or 7.5m
Very use full
Very useful
live example should be taken.
for the building to which structure design has been designed or taken
Nice tutorial..
Hi sir.question how about the load of the building? simple residential houses what is your recommendation size of the column? How about the schedule of load?
thank you, sir.
hello sir, this vidio was very useful, I need book on method of measurement (detailed), can you hel
great video

Very nice and Sir please upload how to calculate roof rafter purlin in Building
What do you mean by the depth of the column? Is it the depth of the part of the column dug under the ground surface? Or, the width of the column?
There are numerous halls having span of more than 30,40 fts So what will happen to safety of these halls in your opinion. Which design principle have fixed such distance of 5m or 7.5m . Our IS code permit every span provided span/depth ratio, deflection criteria is fulfilled.
Helpful brother
How to design or place the beam
And also say about span
Please let me know that how to reinforce a 12*16 feet wide slab also tell about dia of bars used in this & beams reinforcement details (dia of bars, bent up bars etc) for this slab
Sir how much required foundation depth and length width plz tell me sir
I am confused.does he mean width when he says depth? When i hear depth i think how far the column goes into the ground.
It is width not depth... Column size
Sir make a video on different between tar, bitumen and asphalt
Please
And their products
Tell us anything with ref. of code.
it depends on the proyect
Sir pl advice ---
I want to construct a g+1 house dimensions are 20' x 50' with base isolation at tie beam leval (tie beam attached to the floor )
Tie and all beam and the columns would be rectangular 14'x10' with 6 tmt rebars 4 of 16mm 2of 12mm stirrups of 8 mm
I want to span the columns for the 20'side by two columns and 50'side by 14' spans and 8' cantilever =50 '
Base isolation at tie beam level is such that 5 ft column from regular base plate design would be aligned using a beam connecting all columns(5')
The top of these columns would have a reverse base plate a steel sheet would be embossed on the surface of that plate now isolated column bottom of which too would be embossed with steel plate would rest on the said reverse base plate
The corner would be reinforced in such a way that in extreme seismic conditions the structure would play by 6 ' and restricted within that
Objective of this structural design is disconnecting the flow of seismic energy into the structure
My apprehensions are the building tipping off under extreme earthquake conditions laterally as the building is not at all anchored
Last can the above design of columns and beams support the 20 by 14foot spans under dynamic conditions
Notable points are the dead weight or self weight of the rcc slab chat will be reduced to 4' thickness compensating the entire construction (superstructure) by M20+ RCC please advice
Is there maximum or minimum distance between RCC? I think there is no limit for that, that is why engineers exist.
Thanks........
So much..... Sir
So what should be the depth for a 5 meters distance column ?
Pls sir give the structural design process with hogging and sagging moment as per analysis and cross section of column detail .
Jazakallah khair bhai
What would be the column spacing for a residential home 16x30??
What dia of tmt bars will be used for 16.5 feet long beam. Please let me know.
Thank you
Hi Sir , Ours is g+2 ,There were 11pillars in ground floor due to plan change in first floor center pillar was removed in first floor plan so distance between two column became 20 feet so builder added beam which now is 20 feet long i am bothered weather it sustain load
Plzzz do one video for
The basic ideas r basic for how to draw house design plzzz I am requesting you please
Distance and space between two column
In mega project we decrease the distance between 2 column
Distance between 2column in normal building-5m
Min distance-2. 5 m
Maximum distance-7. 5m
How many bars to be use in 1-column and what is the sizes in mm ?
The main building dimensions are 30x33 feet in between main walls there are two per all walls with a gap of 11 and 10 feet
Aslaaamalykum
I am new in your sites. I want to now about foundation work.
Sir can we make different spans in a same building like one block has 22'x26' column to column distance while the other block of same building has 18'x20' column to column distance ?
Good Example
And the *column size* should be?? For 16 ft / 24 ft distance between to Columns
When you increase distance from 5 m to 8 m does it increase cost and gauge of iron .
thx ofr the vid, i had brainfart and forgot the rule lol
What is the minimum and maximum distance between two column for engineering college
Why can't you show calculation method of finding distance btw two columns
Thanks so much crom Costa Rica
But how to decide how much increase depth of column to if increase the distance
Thank you sir...
If the spacing between the two columns 26'0"-28'0"..
What will be the size & steel used?
For 28 ft span ,big hall or auditorium.
Use beam depth 24 " & 24 mm main bars & 18×18 " column.
Refer IS456-2000 for further details
What is depth of columns distance between 16.40ft. Plz tell me, it's helpfull for me.
Very nice video
19×29 house ,,how many columns should come?
Gap b/w one to anther
If we design the column and beam then how should be show on 2 D plan and size of the column and beam

Good
Sir I have 25×25 area.... What should be the column size? Please reply
i'm see distance of column in between 10 to 16 metre in world trade centre manesar india.....
He hasn't seen that yet 🤣
Dept of the column 14",16" inch.....ya it's width of the column
Sir do video on half circle for example half round slab concrete and Steel quantity
Normal used in residential is 12 feet.
Walaikumussalam Bhai Jazak ALLAH
Sir interlock clay soil bricks is ok for building high floors house
Maximum number of steel bars can we use in a coloums which are placed with 24' each other
What will be the depth of columns for a span of 16.5 feet long. Please let me know.
It's depend on how the soil is in the foundation
Very good ❤
Thank you Sir.
Nice video
Thanks sir
thanks for sharing sir i love you so much gogogod
For residential 3 stair building can we have 21ft difference between one puller to another piller
Excellent
The column section to clear span will have ratio or proportion which is told but formula not explained
Good video
