It's fun reading though the comments on when school starts back. There are some schools in the US that go back July 25. This shortens summer from 12 weeks to 8. The extra 4 weeks are sprinkled throughout the year for more breaks.

I’m old. When I was in college, printers were dot matrix, a 2.8MHz or 4.77MHz CPU (1000-1500x slower clockspeeds than today) was considered modern and monitors were green screen. Games were still text-based or were limited to 16 colors, assuming you could find a color monitor. The Internet did not exist, so if you couldn’t figure something out, you had to go to the library and find a reference book.
Rely on your own skills and content to grow on TH-cam, not luring people in through the hard work of others. Grow organically rather than like this. ♥️
Best thing someone had when I was at uni was an iPad Pro, they could download the lecture notes, write and draw on the then save them to look back on instead of printing or trying to type everything and not being able to draw diagrams on your laptop. This is a long comment to follow but I wanted to share my best college tips for purchasing stuff as I graduated college (university) this past May! So some background I was a business major with a minor in Sport Management Computer: I have been a Mac user since I started college. I only ran into a couple snares with not having a PC. Since business tends to utilize Microsoft applications as its cornerstone tech, there were only a few features missing. I know that if I had pursued a concentration in finance, a lack of PC would help. So if it is possible, try to have both if you enjoy having a mac but also want the versatility of a PC. I survived without a PC but at some point, I want to have both! Printer: So this could be different at every college, but I for one didn't need the use for a printer at school. With so many things being strictly digital, printing isn't as necessary anymore. Also at least at my school, printing was a free benefit for students so we never had to worry about ink or paper! So check with your school if you need a printer! General Dorm Extras: As Justine said, a Surge Protector is a go-to, many college dorms are older so they lose power more frequently than you would expect, also the added bonus of more outlets is a major help! You likely won't need a desk lamp, I never used mine as if I were doing homework I tended to be at a student center or the library instead of my dorm room since I would get distracted there. Another pro-tip, many people think they need way more than they do, if possible try to live as minimalistic as possible, those rooms are small so they get dirty faster than you would expect. It not that hard to have money as a student. Have decent grades, get some scholarships, get a job and make some money. I paid for my school, my expenses and still always had money in my pocket. Even when I had 5 classes.
