Bruh, I didn’t even graduate and just jumped straight into the industry with enough knowledge and passion to learn more. Mechanical pencil and a notebook will always be your friend. Trust me taking notes of everything you do to reproduce it or having a random idea is always needed.
Having that is great, but iPads/other writing tablets are very practical. For one, having infinite page allows you to never worry about page space or linear organization (which is just not how the human mind works). It also allows easy color switching and highlighting. You can open multiple apps at once, so you could have gpt open on the side with a note app on the other. It really becomes next level for note hierarchy, where you can easily go to any year of schooling notes in a matter of seconds. You can use it as a second screen when not note taking and reorganize/erase stuff in a way that isn’t possible on paper. I could go on and on about the use cases of an iPad but those are the ones on the top of my head. Paper and pencil will never die, but since tablets have such a large learning curve [and thus higher potential] you can essentially evolve to learn more efficiently.

@@ggedits9533 Personally I use two apps: when I'm writing with the S Pen I like to use Microsoft OneNote because it has a really big whiteboard, I take a lot of math notes and I need that ultra wide space, but if you want to type with a keyboard, that's when I recommend to use Samsung Notes
I'm also an engineering student and I agree with everything here except for the mac because of the software I use. All of the software can be run on mac but it is optimized for windows and work terribly on mac
Yeah, same. I have an iPhone, iPad, and Airpods, but there's no way I was going with a MacBook. My first EE course had instructions for using a program on Mac and it literally said to "remote in to lab computers." Screw that.
I like this video a lot. I believe this setup doesn't only apply just for mech eng or engineering in general, but also for most of the people that I know that do the hard sciences or math.
I used to love paper as well for similar reasons I also felt like it helped me retain information a lot better (in some classes) but then certain classes I felt like my notes were getting messier and messier and sometimes I couldn’t even find certain notes which led me to buy an ipad to help me a bit more in terms of staying organized, it could’ve been an ez fix in terms of just labeling things more on paper but genuinely as someone who used to only write notes on paper and refused to take notes on a laptop or anything an ipad is such a lifesaver I also saw an improvement in my grades which is like the biggest pro to having an iPad in my eyes
As an engineering student myself, I promise you that you do NOT need an iPad for engineering. Paper is genuinely sufficient for about 99% of note-taking and studying purposes. Also, not to mention that you WILL at some point in time need paper regardless, especially for handing in lab assessments, results, or any tutorial work. I took the bait and bought a tablet for note-taking and I regret that I spent so much on a device that I only use for notes and occasional studying. Besides those tasks, I can't find any other decent use for my tablet as a laptop is genuinely so much better at every other task, like word processing which is very commonly used for those really fun lab reports!! Not everyone will have the money for an iPad, especially with how expensive engineering tuition is. If i could re-evaluate my purchases, I would just buy a surface tablet with a decent budget Logitech keyboard and the pen to accompany it, since the surface pen (in my opinion) is either on par or slightly better than the Apple Pencil (not to mention that the surface tablet is also a full fledged PC as well, negating the need for a two separate devices). If you already have a laptop, get a cheap Wacom pen tablet for $40-$60 and use it with Windows and Mac, which is a pairing many of my professors use!! Also, if you're an engineering student, ESPECIALLY in mechanical, you will need a Windows machine if your school uses SolidWorks. You will find that you will need to do your CAD work at least a few times on the go, especially if it takes you longer as a novice and/or if you commute. And If you're a computer engineer, good luck running Xilinx Vivado, or any other FPGA CAD software on a Mac, especially an m-series. You'll find that you need this at least 2 years into your degree, which by then you'd already have bought your devices. Also, video editing works on windows laptops as well. Then again, take what you can from this video and my comment to make an educated decision based on your circumstances, as different things will work for different people. ALSO, NEVER BUY A GRAPHING CALCULATOR ITS A MAJOR RIP OFF, JUST USE DESMOS ON ANY DEVICE IN A WEB BROWSER. Love the wall decor above the monitor! (my attempt to make this wall of text sound less passive-aggressive)
Currently I’m a freshman engineering student. I have an iPad Air 4, a Logitech keyboard that pairs with it, Apple Pencil for good notes 6, a graphing calculator, a folder for handouts. I want to get a MacBook but it might take me a while to save up. I have a gaming laptop at home but it’s way to bulky to take with me to class so I might not get a MacBook
Lmao you just pulled out the same darn blue folder Ive used for my entire ME degree (now CE)! It’s saved me more than a few times and has become a running joke in the family 😂 can 100% reccomend!
What sort of engineering softwares do you use on your Mac as a Mech Eng. student? The industry standard softwares (like Solidworks for CAD and Ansys for simulation) are mostly available on Windows only. Do you find yourself restricted with your MacBook when it comes to those engineering softwares?
he said he "rarely used my laptop for engineering applications anyway (even though my laptop could handle it). Most of the time I went to the computer labs on campus and worked on projects or homework where these softwares were needed with my friends. We were together most of the time and this was the easiest for us since they had any software we could need already installed on it. If I had to use my laptop though, I had to go though an online portal set up by my college to access the softwares such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS. Very few classes actually used SolidWorks, but many of them needed MATLAB which my friend with a 2016 MacBook Air could run perfectly fine on. " I definitely wouldn't recommend it though, computers may not always be available and the software and virtual machines universities provide are generally not as smooth and reliable.
First thought because that's like the most important thing. I'm using Fusion + some kind of CFD software everyday and being able to do that everywhere I am is a gamechanger (as I'm often away from home on campus/workshop) - you literary can't do that on anything this guy showed here. Bro's probably on the first year. EDIT: my suggestion for an all-in-one solution would be the lineup of Surface Pro devices
@@alexkelo1770I have this same problem, I’m going into college and I am deciding between a Mac and a Surface Pro, I really like the mac and have been a apple user all my life. Though I am bringing a desktop to college to use and work on in my dorms, but realistically is it better to get a windows than a mac.
Nice video bro, I watched a lot of videos but not get any Satisfaction and exact answer, but when I watch you’re video it’s all clear to me thank you for giving us a right knowledge and don’t do any click bites like others they just vest our time and they indirectly trying you have to buy this, that and whatever
Do you still use the Infograph watch face? Ever since I saw that video of you reviewing the infograph watch face on your Apple Watch, I’ve been using and it’s been coming in really handy. It’s so useful and has so much info so it’s been much easier navigating my Apple Watch!
Simple question… how the hell you install Solidworks or Ansys in the MacBook? I do own an iPad, but I can’t fully migrate to iOS since it doesn’t run the previous programs
Yeah, there are a ton of programs that just don't run on macs. The computer labs are filled with people who can't do the work on their macbooks. We were specifically told if you want to use the exact same software (which they teach on) get a Windows laptop, otherwise here are some mac alternatives, but you have to figure out yourself. Still most of our classes most people had macs, but complained they weren't teaching them correctly.... they told them at the beginning!!! And at end of year the computer labs are all taken.
As a mechanical engineering student, how are you feeling about the MacBook? I'm in the same major and I've heard software, such as SOLIDWORKS, is incompatible on Mac's. It's a shame because I really wanna get MacBook
Hey Jose! From my perspective, I actually went into college with the same mindset you seem to have. I was worried as an engineering major that if I got a MacBook it would not be able to run or handle to softwares so I did not get one and instead I got a Windows Surface Book 2. But, from my experience and going through 5 years of college, I rarely used my laptop for engineering applications anyway (even though my laptop could handle it). I personally recommend just getting a MacBook which can handle all school work and MATLAB very well, and for other more intensive softwares such as 3D modeling to just use to computers on campus where they are already installed! Hope this helped :)
Personally I wouldn't get a Mac book it's too limiting on software, unless the bulk of your profession uses just adobe software apple is just not used nor supported enough. Just get a good quality laptop, spring for one with a graphics card if possible. I hear framework has some cool stuff with upgradability but I have never owned one. Or what I prefer and wish I would have done. Build a good desktop and use a Chromebook for daily bullshit when out and about. Chromebooks are cheap and great for basic internet surfing/ word processing/ decent excel (sheets in Google land) usage( not as good as excel but more than enough for most students). Using the Google apps was AMAZING for group projects! Very easy to share and work on documents at the same time. I never felt like office (even now when I use it daily for work) was as good/seamless as Google when sharing/collaborating files.
I have not because many of the engineering softwares I needed to use for school work, I would 95% of the time utilize the computers in the engineering labs. These computers had all of the applications I would need such as MATLAB, ANSYS, SolidWorks (etc) pre-installed on them. Whereas for me to use my own personal laptop it was always a headache to try to get a school license to download the softwares for free, or to essentially screen share from a computer in the lab. Plus, my friends and I would usually meet up to work on huge projects / assignments together and it was always easiest to just meet in a computer lab so they were always available to us. And for all other types of assignments you can easily utilize google workspace or microsoft office applications on the MBP.

Hey thank you for the kind words, it always pushes me to keep going when I actually help others 😂 And as for the wallpaper, it's from a wallpaper pack by a fellow tech TH-camr by the name Oliur. You can find the wallpapers through him, but because you have to pay for them I won't link it anywhere out of respect for him. You’ve got this. I was in the same position and went to a school where I didn’t know anyone. There are usually very good orientation programs that help you meet a bunch of people really early on. As for the school work it’s essentially just high school but with more work but you also have more free time. It’s an adjustment for sure but if you know engineering is what you want then it’ll all work out in the end. Best of luck 😁
Okay so one question about one detail that every engineering student does, why do yall use the TI calculators instead of the HP prime its cheaper and absolutely destroys it in performance, currently in my 2nd year of EE and thinking of buying the prime so am just wondering is there something fundementally wrong with it that everyone uses TI ? Great video btw really enjoy this one and the ipad review
I got mine back in highschool about 7-8 years ago and just didn't want to get a new one 😭 I've actually never heard of the prime, and I don't think they really matter all that much. Casio, TI, and other graphing calculators all do the same things just slightly different
I recon it comes down to what's allowed on exams. Usually almost any calculator goes, but sometimes there's a list of allowed calculators and the TI-82 / TI-84 is a safe bet.
Bro, how do you study Mechanical engineering with a Mac???!!! As a Mechatronics Engineering Student, I am pretty sure you need the flexibility to have multiple OSes on your laptop, in order to use tons of applications and software that might be available for one OS only.
any other stationary you may need to bring with you? starting my first year of engineering next week, and just wanted to know if you needed anything other than some mechanical pencils and pens. for example, a compass, a protractor etc.
No I think that would cover pretty much everything! I’d also recommend getting some engineering notebook paper as that will come in handy a lot! The compass and protractor really are not necessary
Literally man I doubt you whether you are an engineering student!!, because they just don't care about all of these specific things(which bag , which cloth, my bottle,my pouch , my this my that and all of those unnecessary stuff) , they just care about the intresting things they're studying in math , physics and chemistry. Because they don't have that much time to be as sophisticated as you!! You trying to show people an unrealistic engineering life image, that if you have all of the costly things like mac, ipad etc. then your path is perfect, but no it's not!!

i am starting my engineering soon and here is what i plan to carry: my ipad and apple pencil (64 gb cuz i am broke asf) notebooks calculator (scientific) stationary book marks sticky notes headphones and my smartphone a power bank i do have a laptop but its attached to my LCD system that i have made at home to work, so i cant really detach and carry it around but i guess above things will work just fine. kindly drop down suggestions if i have anything else to my carry list :)
Id say a microfiber cleaning cloth for your ipad! Using it every day during class will smudge up pretty fast! I'd give mine a good cleaning during my first class each day :) And besides that you need some pencils!!!! Especially for engineering😂 Best of luck to your at university though🫡
They’re from another creator who goes by the name Oliur on TH-cam! These are part of a wallpaper pack that he sells and out of respect for him I don’t want to give them out for free. But check out his channel as the pack was pretty cheap for a bunch just like this one :)
Maybe this is too late to ask now after more that a year of this video. Still. Do you really need a separate calculator ? The calculator is right there on your iPad. The screen can be split with a scientific calculator and your notes. Now, for some "smart" people might ask, in that sence why do you need an iPad when you have a macbook. Well Apple is too lazy to make touch screen macbooks, otherwise I would have asked the same question. My point is use the tools with best of all what they can offer instead of adding more tools.
Do you run into software compatibility issues with your MacBook? The university I'm applying to for mechanical and aerospace engineering next year requires Windows devices for compatibility with programs like solidworks (among many others)
I would suggest every engineering students to buy and ipad mini 6 th gen ... it has A15 bionic chip which is in iphone 13. I did all my desgining in my ipad it's so smooth I never felt it laggy it's just soo wow for it's budget
Boooooooo! I mean it would only really help for calculus classes, but after that, you really only need a calculator for basic math and calculations and not many of the other features 😂
I heard that having a Macbook is going to be a pain in the butt because mech eng major has programs that can’t be installed and freely used on apple laptops. That’s why i’m looking into a windows laptop instead of a mac🤣. What’s your opinion? ( my parents wouldn’t buy me a pc , laptop, and a NEW ipad) so i just sticked to windows laptops that would cover everything.
Hey, I use too but once it got worn out from writing on it so much I took it off and haven't replaced it since. I do reccomend any matte screen protector from amazon. I was using a generic one that came in a 3 pack for about $10. They're just as good as a PaperLike but cost so much less. The matte protectors reduce overhead glares which is especially useful in class so you can see the screen better, and they give your ipad a more paper-and-pencil feel while writing on it. I highly recommend getting one! :)
@@NathanLemoine so you just use the naked iPad screen right?? A recommendation - you should try the mothca matte screen protector for your iPad it isn't as rough as a paper and provides the protection similar to a tempered glass and probably create a short about your experience with it after a couple of weeks or so.
Currently no I do not, but since I graduated from college I rarely draw on my iPad screen anymore. But I’ll definitely look into it! Thanks for the recommendation 🙏🏻😇
It's from Alphalete! My absolute favorite clothing store. I got this a little over 2 years ago now so it may not be in stock anymore but they have new releases about every month and a good mix between lifestyle and gym clothing!
Ive decided to go into mechanical engineering and i want to get an i pad for notes and stuff because i see how convenient it is, but i worry about softwares like solidworks. Will there ever be an instant in class where i would need it? Any advice would be amazingly appreciated!
Potentially.... every school's ME program will look different so it is impossible to say for sure. I currently daily drive a windows pc with dedicated gpu for CAD (and other pc only software) and a pen-enabled device for notetaking. Thus far (going into 3rd year), the vast majority of my classes have been lecture type courses where I only took notes. I have also taken a handful of design courses (labs) where I heavily used CAD programs for projects and coursework (mostly outside of the classroom). I also participate on an extracurricular competitive design team that heavily uses solidworks. Having a personal laptop is very beneficial for me because I am able to do CAD work and use engineering software anywhere and anytime I want, not just in a computer lab when it is open. Also, there are many "industry-standard" software packages students can get free licenses for that are pc only (many are windows only). Getting experience with such software while in school is helpful when applying for internships and jobs. A personal laptop makes this all of this more convenient. In regard to taking notes on a tablet, I like it because it is easy to erase mistakes, easy to add screenshots and images, and a tablet is a little nicer to read my digital textbooks on than a laptop. I will also say that it is possible to take handwritten notes on a laptop using a usb/bluetooth pad & stylus although not as convenient. If I had to choose between a laptop and a tablet, I would choose laptop. Access to pc only engineering software is more important to me than taking notes on a tablet. Access to engineering software has been an extremely important part of my education and development as an engineer. I can give up the "nice to have" digital notes and take paper notes instead. Everybody's experience is different, and this is only one opinion. Hope this helps!
@@Atlas_ yeah wow! Thank you so much that really does help clear up a lot for me, see im going into my first year and i doubt im going to get thrown right into the engineering software my first year. So i think imma buy a tablet type device(Such as the surface pro, and the ipad) and just keep the money saved for a more powerful type laptop with a dedicated gpu. I should also mention that i have a great desktop at home and i was hoping with a good laptop/tablet hybrid and my strong desktop at home id be okay. The specs of the desktop is I-7 intel cpu 11th gen 16gigs ram 3060 Do you think id be okay with my desktop at home, and use a surface pro 9 in class?
@themadchris666 i would recommend looking into the specific engineering degree program you are interested in to see what the school recommends you have. Many schools give recommendations for laptops/device specs, though your pc is more than powerful enough. I won't give specific recommendations for tablet devices, but i do have classmates who use surface pros and others who use ipads. Though, in the end, it's up to you to figure out what works best for you. I would highly recommend doing research into what you want (i.e., price, size, battery life, etc.) and what you don't want (device quirks etc.) That way you can make an informed decision. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! Best of luck in electrical engineering, circuits just don’t click in my brain for me 😂😭
Padayon fellow future engineer. I'm also specifically a Mechanical Engineering student on my last year now. Good luck to everyone!
Thank you so much! You as well :)
I feel so identified with your EDC I'm also studying mechanical engirneering and I have practically the same EDC but with the Samsung Ecosystem, I bought the Galaxy Tab S8 in february and it's been a game changer for me, with my calculator and my Sony Linkbuds S they are my daily driver 👌
Ayeeee my android counterpart 😏🔥
What do you use as a note taking app? I'm getting a Samsung tablet for school and want to know what apps to download
@@ggedits9533 Personally I use two apps: when I'm writing with the S Pen I like to use Microsoft OneNote because it has a really big whiteboard, I take a lot of math notes and I need that ultra wide space, but if you want to type with a keyboard, that's when I recommend to use Samsung Notes
currently goodnotes 6 is available for android but as a fellow samsung tab user the stock samsung notes is good enough@@ggedits9533
@ggedits9533 I use Microsoft OneNote but that's because my uni gives me the microsoft suite
I'm also an engineering student and I agree with everything here except for the mac because of the software I use. All of the software can be run on mac but it is optimized for windows and work terribly on mac
wich windows laptop are using, I think im gonna need to get one also for my engineering
@@cesarmaldonado147 currently I have a school laptop which is a dell latitude which is barely powerful enough so I would recommend something better
Yeah, same. I have an iPhone, iPad, and Airpods, but there's no way I was going with a MacBook. My first EE course had instructions for using a program on Mac and it literally said to "remote in to lab computers." Screw that.
The guy definitely likes blue 🔵
You think? 😇

editing gets better each vid intro was awesome!!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the intro as I also really liked how it came out 🙏🏻 I’m just trying to make each video better than the last🫡
I like this video a lot. I believe this setup doesn't only apply just for mech eng or engineering in general, but also for most of the people that I know that do the hard sciences or math.
I love paper because it shows you've been working. Kinda like beat up shoes
Gonna be a fresher in the mechatronics branch this year and this is something i would ideally wanna follow
Put a loop on the water bottle and attach it with a carabiner on the backpack itself
Someone else has recommended this to me and it’s a good idea, I’ll start trying it out 🔥
Lmao you just pulled out the same darn blue folder Ive used for my entire ME degree (now CE)! It’s saved me more than a few times and has become a running joke in the family 😂 can 100% reccomend!
Folder has been nothing but spectacular for me 😂
What sort of engineering softwares do you use on your Mac as a Mech Eng.
I definitely wouldn't recommend it though, computers may not always be available and the software and virtual machines universities provide are generally not as smooth and reliable.
Bro u sound like the old youtube. So indepth, from bottom Of the heart so real. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🥹 just trying to make the best videos I can!
Nice video bro,
I watched a lot of videos but not get any Satisfaction and exact answer, but when I watch you’re video it’s all clear to me thank you for giving us a right knowledge and don’t do any click bites like others they just vest our time and they indirectly trying you have to buy this, that and whatever
Do you still use the Infograph watch face? Ever since I saw that video of you reviewing the infograph watch face on your Apple Watch, I’ve been using and it’s been coming in really handy. It’s so useful and has so much info so it’s been much easier navigating my Apple Watch!
Haha yup! Still provides the most amount of information at a glase! I'm glad you still use it too and one of my videos helped you :)
Bro should get a nomadic bag
I never felt like office (even now when I use it daily for work) was as good/seamless as Google when sharing/collaborating files.
bro can you give me this wallpaer link it is really beautiful
Desmos is way better then a stand alone calculator
Desmos is goated but don’t know if you’ll be able to take that with you to an exam 😂😭

Nice video. Can I have the link to your wallpaper on the mac?
What's it like using a Mac as an engineer? I'd imagine that might be pretty irritating sometimes, especially for Autodesk software. Awesome setup tho!
Dude I feel like a younger clone of you, we literally carry the same stuff down to the calculator, and I'm also a Mechanical Engineering student
The water bottle is great depiction of any engineering student. If it works, don’t change it.
Have you run into any issues using a macbook throughout your courses as a engineer?
Working hospital pharmacist and in my 3rd year in Electronics Engineering now. I carry a mi pad 6 tablet for notetaking and practicing math problems and a laptop for just programming and altium/pspice . I would like to insert some gym time but i'm too tired from hospital nightshift. So when I wake up in the afternoon, i walk (1 hr) my way to university for some exercise. Why I do both? I took Pharmacy for the 💲, and I am taking Electronics Engg for passion.
can i have a link for the wallpaper you used in this video? great one btw. I literally got motivated to study after watching this lol
They are sickkkkk and the rest of the wallpapers in the pack are really cool as well!
im gonna start mechanical engineering in a couple weeks. im kinda nervous, never been on my own for very long
You’ve got this.
Minus the calculator, I use pretty much the same stuff for law school. Apple just makes the best stuff from the graduate level perspective
new sub!! loved the way you explained
Bro, how do you study Mechanical engineering with a Mac???!!!
As a Mechatronics Engineering Student, I am pretty sure you need the flexibility to have multiple OSes on your laptop, in order to use tons of applications and software that might be available for one OS only.
Just a guess, but do you perhaps like the color blue?
Could you tell? 😂😭
any other stationary you may need to bring with you? starting my first year of engineering next week, and just wanted to know if you needed anything other than some mechanical pencils and pens. for example, a compass, a protractor etc.
No I think that would cover pretty much everything! I’d also recommend getting some engineering notebook paper as that will come in handy a lot! The compass and protractor really are not necessary
12:32 bro super cool😎
Literally man I doubt you whether you are an engineering student!!, because they just don't care about all of these specific things(which bag , which cloth, my bottle,my pouch , my this my that and all of those unnecessary stuff) , they just care about the intresting things they're studying in math , physics and chemistry. Because they don't have that much time to be as sophisticated as you!! You trying to show people an unrealistic engineering life image, that if you have all of the costly things like mac, ipad etc. then your path is perfect, but no it's not!!
Cool wallpaper, do you know where I can get it?
It's from another content creator who goes by the name Oliur. This is from one of his wallpaper packs and out of respect for him I don’t want to just give them out. But check out his page for them! :)
U are having the best wallpaper for Mac and iPhone, could u send the wallpaper please!
i am starting my engineering soon and here is what i plan to carry:
my ipad and apple pencil (64 gb cuz i am broke asf)
notebooks
calculator (scientific)
stationary
book marks
sticky notes
headphones and my smartphone
a power bank
i do have a laptop but its attached to my LCD system that i have made at home to work, so i cant really detach and carry it around but i guess above things will work just fine.
kindly drop down suggestions if i have anything else to my carry list :)
i also carry a geometrical maths set of apparatus!
Id say a microfiber cleaning cloth for your ipad! Using it every day during class will smudge up pretty fast! I'd give mine a good cleaning during my first class each day :)
And besides that you need some pencils!!!! Especially for engineering😂
Best of luck to your at university though🫡
What Apple Watch dial are you using? It's cool and beautiful.
I really like your wallpaper, where can I find it?

I'm going for an aerospace degree in the fall, would you recommend a 11 or 13 inch iPad?
Were you able to run solidworks on your macbook? if so how?

12:23 blue light glasses don't do anything, they're a scam placebo, but if it seems works for you then it doesn't really matter
feel you on the dented bottle lmao
Maybe this is too late to ask now after more that a year of this video. Still. Do you really need a separate calculator ? The calculator is right there on your iPad. The screen can be split with a scientific calculator and your notes.
Now, for some "smart" people might ask, in that sence why do you need an iPad when you have a macbook. Well Apple is too lazy to make touch screen macbooks, otherwise I would have asked the same question. My point is use the tools with best of all what they can offer instead of adding more tools.
I wonder what you are using your Ti 84 for that you can't just use an online calculator for.
You should tried the owala water bottle
Never heard of it before but I'll definitely look into them as I'm in need of a new one 😂
Hey, I ended up getting the Owala water bottle because of you and I already love it! 😂 appreciate the suggestion 😊

Do you run into software compatibility issues with your MacBook? The university I'm applying to for mechanical and aerospace engineering next year requires Windows devices for compatibility with programs like solidworks (among many others)
Could you please write where you bought the glasses?
I would suggest every engineering students to buy and ipad mini 6 th gen ... it has A15 bionic chip which is in iphone 13. I did all my desgining in my ipad it's so smooth I never felt it laggy it's just soo wow for it's budget
listening to NF is crazy ngl
nyc video brother
Were not allowed graphical calculators in engineering science in Belgium
Boooooooo! I mean it would only really help for calculus classes, but after that, you really only need a calculator for basic math and calculations and not many of the other features 😂
i like your video, thanks for your sharing. Nice broo
Hey, how convinient is the mac really for engineering , because I heard they do tend to be incompatible with a lot of important sortware
Macs are good in terms of art and editing while only
I heard that having a Macbook is going to be a pain in the butt because mech eng major has programs that can’t be installed and freely used on apple laptops. That’s why i’m looking into a windows laptop instead of a mac🤣. What’s your opinion? ( my parents wouldn’t buy me a pc , laptop, and a NEW ipad) so i just sticked to windows laptops that would cover everything.
I don’t like how the 2 hard classes he said were dynamics and thermodynamics because I got both of them this upcoming semester. 😢
Good luck bretheren 🫡 thermo isn’t the worst, but dynamics is impossible 😭
don't get a ti 84 if you an undergrad, they not gonna let you use it in math, chem, and physics exam
hey just wanted to know what type of screen protector do you use or if ANY for the ipad
I want that shirt.... Did I miss the link?
It's from Alphalete! My absolute favorite clothing store. I got this a little over 2 years ago now so it may not be in stock anymore but they have new releases about every month and a good mix between lifestyle and gym clothing!
Are MacBooks actually good for ME majors? Dont you have a lot of CAD software to use?
happy by nf is a belter
The specs of the desktop is
I-7 intel cpu 11th gen
16gigs ram
3060
Do you think id be okay with my desktop at home, and use a surface pro 9 in class?
@themadchris666 i would recommend looking into the specific engineering degree program you are interested in to see what the school recommends you have. Many schools give recommendations for laptops/device specs, though your pc is more than powerful enough.
I won't give specific recommendations for tablet devices, but i do have classmates who use surface pros and others who use ipads.
Though, in the end, it's up to you to figure out what works best for you. I would highly recommend doing research into what you want (i.e., price, size, battery life, etc.) and what you don't want (device quirks etc.) That way you can make an informed decision.
Hope this helps!
Do you have any problems with incompatible apps on Mac? I'll start my mechanical engineering study in September, and have a Mac, but I hear that programs like SolidWorks don't work on Mac, how do you work with this?

bros fav color gotta be blue
Do your teachers let you use a graphing calculator?????? Mine dont.
Depends on the class. Engineering classes more likely, but for math classes no we weren’t 😭
