Thanks for sharing. I have been watching a lot of SUV and Van builds. Seeing what others are doing makes us feel we can too. I like your toilet solution and wood box makes it look very compatible and elegant with its surroundings. It is inspiring me to design something similar. The repurposing of a fanny pack is brilliant and simple. This is one we can probably do right now.

I've been thinking about an E350 extended, myself. Thanks for all the good ideas. If I did a build it would be one of the simpler ones like this. I like leaving the metal around here and there for magnets, especially to put screens on the windows. Very nice van.

Awesome, great build. I'm glad you're keeping the Prius too! I love how you didn't throw away any space at the walls, ceiling, or floor. The toilet/ottoman is a great idea, so much better than walking and hunching. Window locks, awesome idea, sure beats the hook and eye latch, or bungees, or screwing on a crude flat turnpiece. There are still some good opportunities left to create or use more space if you want, especially with such deep joists holding the bed. You could store seldom-used stuff in the bays between joists (maybe opening to full length vs the fully interlocking grid...the top parts don't seem to support anything?) or use a different, thinner bed support structure to add more height underneath. Or I'd at least rethink using the plywood interlocking dividers vs just support sticks to the joists if needed (which I doubt, your joists are probably overkill on a 6ft span to begin with) and curtain dividers where desired just for bin-organizing purposes, but which can be ignored if you need to fit something bigger there.. Last but not least, I'm very surprised at the wooden holder intruding into the bed space. Maybe it's just me, but an obstacle bolted so low over the mattress, even at the foot end of my partner's side, isn't something I'd ever want or get used to. If it doesn't bother you, then maybe a 54in full wouldn't bother you without the obstacle either, gaining you 4 inches of garage or van space. To each their own, bed-wise, but I'm still scratching my head over that one.

Whenever I leave Mass, people constantly mention my "accent"!! I'm like what accent?? Lol..
I know this is over a year old but I just had to comment on this..
I'm building out an 07 E-250 standard length cargo van, only windows in side & rear doors. It's taking much much longer than I expected, my van has a lot of wear n tear, I'm currently prepping my floor for 1imch foam board, with 1/2inch ply over it, then prob linoleum or something similar.
I've already slept in it, and found the floor, & about a foot above it is FREEZING!!!
What did u do for a floor?
P.S. Great build, very inspiring, especially seeing someone from the Bean doing a build!!💚 🏙️ ☘️ 🇮🇪
