I was there in '91. I tied some twine to a warm bottle of wine and put in in the river. After just a few minutes it was nicely chilled.

Flew in to Zurich. Bought a 1/2 price rail card, 120sf, and then a full 10 day Berner Oberland pass for 315sf, 435sf without rail card. With 1/2 price return to Lauterbrunnen, 85sf, total cost 540sf but cable cars, trains, boats, fenucular railways and busses all free. Saved that much again over 12 days. 1/2 price Murren- Schilthorn and Eigergletcher - Jungfraujoch. BARGAIN.

@@RonBevRetirement it was, we could just go on any mode of transport so instead of using a train we took the cable car up to Eiger Gletcher then train down to Lauterbrunnen.no brainer.
