เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 13 เม.ย. 2018
We have always loved to travel, but when Ron retired from pastoral ministries in November 2023 we kicked it up a notch. We decided to start this channel to bring viewers along on some of our journeys. Thanks for joining us. We hope you enjoy!
Holland, Michigan
Holland, Michigan celebrates its Dutch heritage in many ways including an annual tulip celebration. But more than that, it sits on Lake Michigan, is a vibrant college town and hosts many events including a farmers market and the Tulip City Walls mural festival. #travel #tourist #holland #michigan #hollandmichigan #tulipcitywalls #mural #murals #dutch #windmill #hopecollege #windmillislandgardens #focusonthefamily #aerosolart #nelis #nelisdutchvillage

We spent two weeks in the Quebec area in Canada. This video shows some of the historical sites of old Quebec City including The Chateau Frontenac (where we had high tea and Sunday buffet) The Plains of Abraham, The Quebec Citadelle and the Parliament. Our next video will focus on landmarks and destinations outside the city center. #Canada #CanadaTravel #Québec #travel #tourist #tourists #oldque...
Is Athens Worth It?
มุมมอง 1.8Kหลายเดือนก่อน
As the birthplace of western civilization, Athens, Greece, is a city everyone should visit at least once. Our mistake: We misidentified a theater on the Acropolis. The theater that we said was the Theatre of Dionysus was actually the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, constructed in 161 AD, and was the last new construction undertaken on the Acropolis. Reopened in 1920, it is used for musical performanc...

😊
Wonderful video of Holland
Thanks so much!!!
Heading that way in a few weeks. This was such a helpful video. Well done too!
Thank you so much! It’s beautiful there.
Well there's two weirdos
Growing up in Wyoming it was always one of our favorite places to tour! Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful place!
Yes indeed.
😃
Everything else outside of the city is more outdoors and adventure minded... The rest of the city is basically a cleaner, safer North American town of 800,000 pop, with different building codes and sometimes architecture than the rest of North America. So if you get tired of old Quebec city, there are two major shopping centers (Laurier Quebec and Place de la Capitale, because Pl. FLEUR de Lys, the 3rd option, is mostly lower income and not as clean). BUT there are hundreds of outdoor activities within a 30 minute drive if you like nature, hiking, fishing, kayak or canoe, sailing, skiing, paragliding, kite surfing, jet skiing, hearing wolves howl in the evening, etc...
Thanks for the information!
Just got back from there, enjoyed everything accept being rented a shit golf cart. Don't rent a cart from Roscoe.....
Sorry the golf cart was disappointing!
😮😮😮 This makes me want to go to Mt. Rushmore!
You’d like it!
So glad you guys were able to get back to “the faces”!! That’s what us Wyoming natives call it!😂😂. Such an amazing place!
Thanks! We enjoyed it!
😀
Great video of on of my favorite areas! The buffalo and so majestic! Thanks for sharing Custer State Park!!
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed!
Custer was an egotistical moron!
Oh wow…a cliff hanger! Can’t wait to see Mt. Rushmore next week 😮
🤣thanks for being a faithful follower!
The BEST and only video I've ever seen on Custer State Park!
LOL
Best video I've ever seen on Custer State Park
I bet that’s true. It’s a great place. You should try it.
good!
Thank you!
Our mistake: We accidentally said Pacific in the video when we meant Atlantic Ocean.
Great video, love all the beautiful shots and all the history research! My husband and i visited Quebec City in July with family from the Netherlands. 😊
So cool! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I think I would like it in Quebec because I really enjoy quaint places. Thanks for sharing!
I think you would love Quebec. Sort of like a taste of Europe with everyone speaking French, but most also speak English and so friendly.
That is only the OLD fortified town. The rest is a nice, clean, safe City that looks like many others.
🍦🍦🍦🍨🍨🍨Very fitting indeed 😊
I thought of you!
How many ice cream shops was that?
Too many to count. It’s funny, because I don’t particularly LOVE ice cream, although I eat it when there are no pastries around. But all the people I travel with love it!
😊
Looks like a fabulous area of Canada to visit!!! Makes us want to go there!!!
Great! You should…so much to see.
We want to visit Crete so much! Seems like there is so much to see and do. Did we spot a faredrop shirt? 👀 Aren’t the cliffs of Santorini something else?
Yes and yes! We are big fans!!
how did you like Quebec city, what did you expect before you visited and what surprised you the most?
We loved Quebec City! We knew it was quaint and historical and that French was spoken. I think we were surprised that French was spoken so much and that signs were not in both French and English, since most Canadians speak English. However, we were also pleasantly surprised that almost everyone seemed delighted to speak to us in English if they could, and were exceedingly friendly.
Would love to know all the information on renting the golf cart. Where/price?
We paid $80. There were lots of golf carts to rent in a parking lot on the shuttle route from the ship. It’s hard to miss.
😊
It seems that Britain conquered the land, but the French prevailed in Quebec.
For sure! It’s completely French speaking.
As fellow Canadians...Welcome to Canada! :) Glad to see you are enjoying our country! <3
Yes! Thank you!
What a charming place to visit! ❤
@@suzoreoIt was so beautiful and interesting.

Great video! Was it hot?
Yes it was!
@@RonBevRetirement We will be in Greece mid September thru the beginning of October. Do you recommend warm weather clothes?
@@verawhite1586 Summer clothes and some autumn for the October days! The rich areas in Athens: Kolonaki, Kifisia, Ekali, Glifada, Psihiko. Go shopping in the Mall (Neratziotissa station), Attica department store (in the center) or Golden Hall (Marousi). In Monastiraki find A for Athens, you drink your coffee in the roof garden with Acropolis view.
@@verawhite1586 Also there is Pireaus (Marina Zeas, Mikrolimano) near the sea and Paraliaki (Voula, Glifada, Vouliagmeni). Please don't just stay in the center, move all around in these elegant places I mentioned. Even Agia Paraskevi has nice coffee shops (I remember one with a swimming pool) in Agiou Ioannou street, which leads to the American College of Greece (Deree).
@@verawhite1586Yes!
Great overview of Athens! Some of these sights we didn't get to, but will have to remember if we ever go back. We bought a pass online for the Acropolis and went right when it opened to try and avoid the crowds. So glad we did after seeing the lines you had to be in. Looks like you've been to a lot of amazing places!
Sounds like your pass was the way to go. I’d love to go back knowing more now. Thanks so much for viewing!
Just checked out your channel btw, and you’re doing a good job! We realized a mistake we made on this Athens video based on yours, that we’ll note. Happy traveling!
@@RonBevRetirement It’s all a learning process! Excited to see more of your travels 😊
Such a great trip with great friends! Thank you for the refresher tour Bev and Ron! Looking forward to more adventures with you guys! ❤
More to come!
WOW! That was quite a trip! I can’t wait to see where you will go next🤔
Thanks, Suzanne! Quebec is next.
great video , could you please share details of your Air n B , looks perfect for us to visit in November Thanks
I misspoke when I said it was Airbnb. It is actually a VRBO. But if you go to vrbo.com I believe the number is 1893280ha. That is definitely the same layout and area with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and three levels of stairs.
@@RonBevRetirement Thank you
Glad to learn about Nassau!❤
Thanks for watching!
So much to cover! Good job introducing me to Crete!
Thanks Mark. I now know there are tons of ruins that would be extremely interesting to us history buffs also.
Another reminder of a wonderful trip! ❤️
Yes, it was!
😊
Sounds like you were blessed with a great tour guide! Too many choices on the buffet 😮 I would never be able to decide!
Truth to all that!
Awesome video! Very interesting. I can't believe you did bring back a Rug!!!! 😂
Didn’t get one, but I admit it was tempting.
Nice video! What month is this?
Thanks so much! This was May.
Thanks for the tour! ☺️
You’re welcome 😊
It makes me want to go!
For sure…you would love it!
You captured another great part of our trip so well! Thank you for these wonderful memories!! ❤
So glad!
wonderful
Many thanks
what month did you go
May 2024
Love your video!! How far in advance did you book your tickets for the Colosseum? We are going in October so hopefully the weather is cooler!!!
Thanks so much! We booked Colosseum tickets just a few days in advance, but I’d recommend doing it sooner. Hope the weather is great for you.
