Plus they had hundreds of people blocking traffic, starting fights, and moshing. They knew once they started they would get in trouble. Michael Moore (who you can see in the video) even told them beforehand "whatever happens, don't stop playing." Say whatever you want about em, but they made wall street and the corporate assholes shit themselves. Rage was pretty good about using the corparate and goverment systems against them.
@@michaelsmith-lf6mm looks like this guy knows a little more than you /Wi6fUch4zcw
I honestly wonder how many people actually get what the lyrical intent of this song is, and why it is so unbelievably perfect that they did this on the steps of the stock exchange.
If we stand for nothing we fall for anything
my exwife tried to warn me
We need Rage now more than ever! ✊️
funny how they are just sell outs now promoting corporate ESG philosophy. So ahead of their times? Leftist ESG scores control th corporate culture. This is a corporate band.
Just recently got into RATM during this quarantine. I gotta say they have a lot of sick guitar riffs and unique effects.
@joel ebsworth quite the best on it .
yup, other than the great lyrics, this guys really step up the game when it comes to sound manipulation
@joel ebsworth or so they say
Welcome im 41.ive been here since day 1 with these guys they are truly fucking phenomenal
We need RATM more than ever.

COPE AND SEETHE REEEEEEEE 😅😅😅😅

Can you imagine if rage played in the middle of a protest like this??? I wanna be in that pit
Oh my, that would be like a "Mad Max Fury Road" style thing... I'm totally in!
It would be awesome. Complete anarchy lol
People would loose their 💩
Back in the day, I was in the mosh pit at a Dead Kennedy's-Black Flag show[with Henry Rollins!], it was brutal and the most fun I've ever had in a concert.
That would be the RAGE.
Who's here in 2024 after that Ceo got it😂
Brace for the copy cats! Especially if Luigi is acquitted!
Totally justified..I'm telling you, maga is going to cause class warfare with the oligarchy in charge right now..I'm pissed the kid missed in Pennsylvania last summer
Been here for a looooong time! Lol!
😂
He sleeping warm... some say he's sleeping in the fire😉
The world needs this band now more than ever!
completely forgot how great the machine are such geniuses.🎉
I was 16 tripping my face off at reading festival at the time.
It was 80quid for a coach and camping all weekend too.
Look how it's changed in 32 years. Hundreds just for 1 day.
MENTAL. TRUE FANS WILL TRAVEL TO SEE THEM.
Back then, there was no Beyonce on the stage, just indie, rock, punk and metal.🤯🤘🤘🤘🤘😶😜😱🤗
Oh yes, the machine rages on, my favorite band.
Рычаги !
THIS VIDEO IS MAKING EVEN MORE SENSE NOW DAYS ! IS TIME TO RAISE AGAINST THE MOMENT
They have the balls to say what needs to be said!!!!! Love my Rage!!!
There's a reason they're my all time top band on Spotify
30 years later and im still here same progressive revolutionary mentality!!!!!
In this new world, this song listens on another level.
love Michael Moore getting arrested with them
they're all legends
Dan Boulton he yelled “take over tree stock exchange!” when he was in handcuffs, according to the Wikipedia article.
Micheal Moore??? A giant, fat, socialist weasel who protests capitalism, but has made millions under the very system he protests??? LMFAO!
why weasel?
@@danboulton4919 You ever seen Team America? It depicts Moore very accurately.
hahaha. I think we can all agree its great music that actually means something
2024. We still need you RATM.
Absolutely.
More than ever actually
And every show they ever did was absolutely free of charge.
Sad that this song is still relevant more than 20 years later.
As long as United States exist this song will be relevant.
It’s 20 times worse, and the idiots still don’t get it!
And inaccurate about most of the statistics they provided for this era.
So tell me what it’s about then

What is what about?
I've been listening to Rage Against the Machine for 20+ years and every year I love them more and more
Me too. Makes more sense than ever
Me 2
When my father comes to visit me ( me 55 and my father 79 years ...) every time we finish to watch this video at full volume and we say " what a Power! we hope they will come back soon...
This never happened
they are back
Tour dates listed on their website. Good luck getting tickets.
The trump sign at 1:00 is CRAZY THO , I feel like he knew something
This song really rocks, no matter the year is 2000 or 2021.
It brings a feeling of protest and justice everyone has inside and rock'n roll is all about.
It is very cool to see the moments in the video when even Wall Street execs and operators fall for the sound and start to rock with the band...
Good music is irresistible...
This has gotta be the most badass music video of all time.
Men with a RAGING PURPOSE. A HOLY ONE
The fact that this got beat out for music video of the year by Limp Bizkit's Break Stuff tells you everything you need to know about popular music lol. Great song and even better music video!
Holy shit, I love these guys. "no money was harmed" lol.
Plus this video is more relevant than ever.
"2020 visions and murals with metaphors."
I keep coming back to this line. I know he didn't mean it that way, but it's taken on new meaning.
esg scores control these protests. this band is pure ESG international coroporatism. THE y demanded vax papers before shows they are totalitarian government shills. You people are phoniest getting fooled vey the ESG scores. ESG scores are the backbone of woke. yOu people are controlled by the machine!
They fooled you!
now you are raging for the corporate machine you ESG scores pusher!
when an actual anti establishment protest like the canada truckers coms the left is violent against hem.
the left is now totally corporately controlled.
The saddest part about this song is that it will continue to be relevant as this country will NEVER EVER CHANGE!
I have to disagree with you.. we can protest and not go to jail for it. No other country will try and invade us as we're the have the best military in the world. We don't have the problems like south American Mexico Africa we are lucky to be free and not under some dictator. True our politicians senators ect do what they want but I'm happy I'm free I have a car own a house. You can get what you want in American if you work hard for it.....
Fkn LEGENDARY.
The lyrics to this song are a masterpiece
This week more than ever ! WE NEED YOU RATM!
More than 20 years ago this was made and it's even more relevant than ever. Incredible.
Still most amazing dreadlock frontman 🤘

These guys just rocked like no band really has before or since

PLAY THIS AT MINNEAPOLIS !!!!!!
Play this song everywhere in america. 🇺🇸
They'd just get their set burned down by the neighborhood.
@@130VonKleist Cool.
Somewhere in the mid 2000's, I took a day off work to line up early to see RATM in concert in Sydney and it was legendary. I've seen Al Green, James Brown, AC/DC, Prince, and none of them come close to that concert.

This is Generation X
You are Xennial Not sure why you mention that
Tom Morello, is such a PHENOMENAL guitarist. He coaxes sounds from His guitar that are UNEQUALED.
And Zack De La Rocha... Touched by God!!!!!!
Tim Commerford is a brilliant bassist. Truly underrated!
And Brad Wilk's energy on DRUMS!!!!
Who else is on a RAGE kick rn?!
right here
You know it!!!
NEED IT!!!
Rage and Body Count
Meeeeeeee!!!!
This is absolutely legendary
The world is my expense, the cost of my desire. These words came from a Righteous foundation ,but flew right over the heads of this wicked generation. We were too busy swaying to the timbrals.
Babes will pay for our weak as water bs
So sorry.
"The Machine Rages on" gets me everytime! 😂
a band 20 years ahead of its time.
It is not ahead of it's time, the problem just never went away
They weren't ahead it's just they spoke against a system that was opressing sooner than others
They aren't 20 years ahead America is 20 years behind
They were relevant then and they are relevant now. And they'll likely to be even more relevant tomorrow, because billionaires and hatemongers have had a stranglehold on america for a hundred years now.
Also its more like 30 years
