Hi Nicole - thanks for the video. Please help - I have a Porkbun domain that I am currently using on my Wix Website. I now what to cancel my Wix website but don’t know how to transfer my domain away from Wix now? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! If you are sure your domain name is registered with Porkbun, you don't have to transfer it away from Wix to cancel your Wix website. But make sure your domain name is registered with Porkbun, and not Wix
3:35 - ok... I don't know if you're going to say anything about this, but ...do you see that towards the bottom there(?). It says "Displaying? ?" What Is That?? I signed up today, & saw that, but didn't know what to do with it.
Hi! I'm 99% sure that isn't anything to worry about. When you log into your account, that usually shows the number of domain names listed. For example: "Displaying 30 out of 30 domains in your account." It seems to be just a layout mistake. You can message Porkbun support to double check if you'd like
I'm wondering about long term registrations. On Porkbun there is the 10 YEAR OPTION! I could choose it now; pay the fees; expect to be clear of the renewal issue for the next decade ... however, what happens if Porkbun goes belly-up in say 5 years? Anyone have a guess what happens to "paid up" domain registrations in such a scenario?
ICANN accredited domain name registrar, so it's as safe as any other registrar. I can't say exactly what would happen in that situation, but I would assume it would be something similar to when Google Domains closed. Everyone got moved to another registrar. This article may be helpful for you: www.buycompanyname.com/registrar-out-of-business/ Porkbun has been around since 2014 though, and has been growing in popularity, so I feel comfortable with my domain names there.
Porkbun tastes great. A very nice guide, Nicole.

Do i have to wait 60 days until i can transferr my domain?
Unfortunately yes, but that's a policy with all domain registrars, not just Porkbun
What if you don't have a domain to transfer?
You can register a new domain name by following the instructions right here: 00:48
