I’m going to buy squarespace. My host is AWS .Is AWS going to allow me to switch to using Squarespace as my host as easily as you show how it works with Go Daddy as the host?
So here's a question. Some things have changed within Godaddy now when connecting to Squarespace. Once I have changed the nameservers to point to Squarespace within Godaddy, I can no longer change the DNS records within Godaddy to match Squarespace. Is that an error, or did things actually change? Been having issues trying to connect a secondary domain for some time now, and both Squarespace and Godaddy have not been helpful in trying to get this resolved.
What happens to my domain email? I have Hostgator for my host. Will transfering my domain from Godaddy to Squarespace interrupt my email service with Hostgator. thanks
Hi, what happens if someone has an email address associated with the domain? If you just connect instead of transfer, would the email address be unaffected? Thanks :)

Hey! I would contact Squarespace live chat on this one - I know I had a similar issue with a '.kn' domain and was able to circumvent it with the help of their team

I think so! I would ask their live chat so that you can do it seamlessly

I never use nameservers. It's always better to just connect via good old DNS settings

I would just point the domain to Squarespace instead of transferring it. Open up the Hostgator live chat and they will help you do it.

As long as the MX records stay intact in your DNS settings then you're all good
does the ttl always have to be 30 mins? for me its defaulted to 10mins
