- First Drive: The new Honda HR-V (Vezel in some markets) will be launched in Europe in early 2022. It comes with the e:HEV called hybrid powertrain. We already had a chance to test drive the new model. Join us!

I have the lawnmower from Honda with electric starter but it didn’t need to plug-in to charge I LOVE IT! I hope this car will work the same way and if it does I will consider buying it in my near future suv!
No plug-in needed.

Excellent review. Love that German accent. It reminds me of my grandfather and grandmother. Beautiful car, just wish it had some power and it appears Honda is not bringing it to the US until 2023.

By calculation, you are 6’ 3” in the U.S. It looks like there is plenty of headroom for an average person. I like the clean design and the truly flat cargo area with the seats folded down. I’m not crazy about the wheels though. I hope this design comes to the U.S market. Thank you for the review, and I understood you perfectly.

Great video. I agree with your summation at the end. The non plug-in hybrid is best because it gets great fuel economy without needing to find a charger constantly. It is a perfect city car but many city dwellers live in apartments or condos without a home charger available.

Congratulations for your presantation.I am from Greece and lot of people anticipate this car.It is a shame that it won't have AWD and sunroof in Europe like in Japan.As a concept i agree with you that it will be more fuel efficient than plug in hybrids.I would also like to ask your if you have any information about the 360 camera system.Will it be available for us in Europe?Keep up the good work!!!

An excellent review of a truly refined Honda. What are the expected prices in the German market? We look forward to seeing this beautiful car in Greece. Is it that noisy as we heard during acceleration?

Then it wont make a sale in my country. That price is the same with CRV
Petro, as with all hybrids with e-CVT this happens only when you press the gas pedal fully, unless you drive like this then you should not worry. I recently drove a Jazz hybrid (2012) for about 300km in highway and provincial roads and only when I had to overtake with full power I could notice the engine noise... I was dissapointed by the size of the boot (owner of a 2009 CR-V with two kids...).

dammit, i was hoping they would got rid of the piano plastic! they made the new civic without it, why this one has it?? but i'm glad that they are using phisical buttons, instead of those horrible tuch capacitive ones

Thanks for the reiview - I think the high price is due to the hybrid nature of the car. The plain petrol / diesel (?) versions will be a lot cheaper.
At least here in Europe, the Hybrid will be the only powertrain option for the HR-V.

As a person who has been around Hyundai cars a lot, my first impression (Without knowing its Honda) - I thought someone modified 2020 Hyundai Tucson. All, except rear looks so similar, the design cues lead to Tucson impressions.

US and Canada will be getting a different HRV. Supposedly a bit larger, I'm guessing it will based off the new Civic.

Autobahn is a perfectly fine English word. No need to correct ft yourself to highway.
I own a HR-V in Canada without AWD. It is a bit lite so I put ice tires on all year and it now has the grip I was looking for. Here it has the 1.8 Civic engine. The hybrid seems too expensive.

@@romeotrinh6415 Indeed. PSA, now Stellantis, followed plansa to re-introduce Peugeot in the US but stopped them again. I guess they are concentrating on Chrylser, Jeep, RAM, Alfa Romeo, Maserati over there.

Well, it is not a rocket but powerful enough in normal conditions - if you dont mind high revs!

The rev number of the petrol engine changes according to the electrical power it needs to produce.

The trim level names and specs vary from market to market. Here in Germany, this middle trim leve is calles Advance.
It looks a little bit like Haval H6 which is pretty cool

Nice looking car,iff the quality is still the same as the previous model than this will be the next one. I only don't know iff this hybrid model will come to Brazil, my concern is that iff something goes wrong in the backcountry, are the mechanics able to fix the car,these cars are nowadays so complex that I've my doubts.
