You can stop your hair from pulling black by using a product like Olaplex (or it's less expensive dupes, Sally Beauty has a great product called ION REBONDING, Matrix also has a line). Use this during and after your color service(s) to even out the cuticle (make it smoother) and prevent color grab. This will also greatly improve the condition of your hair where it's most exposed to the elements (ends & around the face). It's a game changer! Love your channel, btw ♥

I absolutely loved you with your grey hair but oh my the way you have lightened and then used the two colours is just beautiful.. As a fellow 50yr old I am battling with grey hair and currently sitting with a silver amethyst colour on my highlighted hair for the past 3 hours. it will go a dusky lavender colour.. But I think I may follow your tutorial as It has made you look so lovely and even younger.. Thank you Lisa.. I am so pleased you have found much happiness in your life and future.. Best wishes and hugs from UK x

I'M SOO HAPPY I found this ... I 've been wanting to lighten up my entire head of hair... over the time, the medium brown which covered my roots is now on my ends: Too dark for me right now! I know, if I go to my hairdresser, she's going to 'lift it" with something harsh.. NO THANKS! I have hair like yours, and it's thriving nicely. I already bought the vit C and the same shampoo you used, just to be on the safe side. Going to apply it every other day over a week or soo and then color :) I can't wait! Thank you for sharing your heart with us... you are beautiful!

Very interesting. I understand the overlap as my hair turns black even though I use a level 6-7. I color my roots every 10 days! However, clarifying shampoo is very drying and it will remove keratin treatments. A good alternative is a Malibu treatment or very gentle bleach with 10 volume and olaplex. (Hair stylist here!)
    Love all your videos!

Wow! This is gorgeous!!! I’ve been wanting to lighten my hair, but was thinking to add brown highlights as my hair is super dark and I feel the darker the hair the harder it is to cover the gray’s, gray and black just doesn’t blend well there’s always that harsh line at the roots! Do you feel lighter hair gives you more of a youthful look? I think on me it may give a youthful look 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t know what I’m exactly going to do yet, I haven’t bleached my hair in a year, my hair is super healthy I’m just afraid of damage but yet don’t have the patience to lighten my own hair 🤦🏻‍♀️ ugh! Choices choices 🤷🏻‍♀️ What do you suggest would look good on me, Dark as I have or light my natural hair is just a little longer than yours, in my videos I usually wear my European wigs, I love super long hair but after 40 I think long hair ages our face? It drags down everything 😱
    Anyway beautiful sista!
    I wish you a beautiful New Year😘

Alexa Weber Morales I use 1/4 tsp vit C, 3/4 tsp water mix it so it’s not lumpy, put it into a dark pump bottle, after I cleanse my face and toner it I put Vit C on it, it has taken awhile but has demished my age spots and my skin looks so much smoother

-- no more age spots, I put it on morning and bedtime, 1/4 tsp Vit C, 3/4tsp water, put into dark pump bottle, my face looks brighter, smoother but it takes awhile, also use on my neck, arms and has removes sun damage on my shoulders 🤗

I love your hair and the finished product! I do have a question- did you apply the hair color to your whole head or just your roots? I have grays coming in (just on my roots). When I’ve gone lighter my roots seem to “glow” and is noticeably lighter than the rest of my hair. Any tips?

You are so beautiful Lisa! QUESTION: when you color every 2 weeks, do you just do the roots?or the whole length of your hair for the 30 minutes of processing? I had better luck doing the roots first, and leaving for the last 10 minutes the coloring of the rest. Thank you for sharing! ❤️❤️

I keep forgetting to tell you about my friend Sam, who was on season 3 of the show, Married At First Sight. Her marriage on that show was NOT a good match & they divorced. But not quite 2 years after the show, she met her current husband on the very same dating app as you met your sweetheart. They married & already have the most beautiful little girl. Anyway, isn't it awesome that truly compatible matches can be found that way. 💕 Now I know 2 success stories! 😉👍HUGS FROM HOT & HUMID HAWAII (hope the 2 hurricanes headed our way cools us off, LOL) Love ya!

it probably would make it more yellow/orange as it doesn't tone the hair but take color out. The Suave shampoo, and a lot of it, probably does alot of the dye removal due to heavy sulfates.

Will this technique work if I do it after I color to help lighten it a bit? I colored over heavily highlighted dark blonde hair with a mix of dark golden blonde (so it wouldn’t turn green) and dark blonde. Now my hair is a ginger brown color - HATE. Thinking of coloring with dark beige blonde to help eliminate the red. I just wanted dark blonde to light brown hair with full gray coverage. I think this technique would help with the super dark color, but don’t know if I should do it before or after I try to recolor it. Any tips would be great! Thanks so much!

Mix 1/2 the colorant from one box with 1/2 the colorant from the other box in a bowl or empty both into one of the developer squeeze bottles. Recap the colorant bottles tightly to save for next time to use with the remaining bottle of developer.

Love your hair color I'm going to try it can I give a suggestion to everybody instead of paying $9 for some of L'Oreal or Clairol or anybody else root touch up you can use eyebrow powder it's the same thing and you would spend a lot less money if you bought eyebrow powder and use that as a touch-up I do that if I'm in between color I only have just a few little gray hairs I don't have hardly any so I don't have to color my hair every two weeks thank God but if I do need to touch up I will go in and use a highbrow eyebrow powder. Works Great and does not cost much. Also another thing the gloves that you're buying you're paying way too much money for them you could get those a lot lot cheaper I don't know if anybody has Harbor Freight anywhere around them but their gloves are phenomenal and very inexpensive the gloves you can get a lot cheaper than buying them on Amazon I am also a nail tech I do makeup so I'm just giving some advice the kind of help you all out we all need these tricks because they save us a lot of money and a lot of time there where we don't have to go sit in the salon somewhere everybody can do their hair their selves and make up . Look around you can get the products a lot cheaper. Thank for the video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

It’s been a well known trick in the community of pink/blue/green/aqua/purple/orange etc. .....”Crayola Color”
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💗”creative color” whatever the proper way of defining it with words is nowadays, lol haircolors. Those are usually semi-permanent but without ammonia and peroxide, so they basically stain the outer shaft not chemically altering the hairs structure. They almost always completely fade out with time, sometimes one may want to hurry this process along and so Vitamin C is one method. Shampoo with sulfates is another. Even dish detergent is recommended by some, but I wouldn’t go there...most especially if you bleach.
