Hey everyone,
When you do the timing belt, I would also recommend doing the cam and crankshaft seals. The timing belt kit I got did come with them, but unfortunately, I wasn’t recording when I did the seals.

Thanks for doing this video! One note: That large rear bar is the de Dion tube. In the Honda Acty it allows the use of cheap leaf springs instead of a semi-trailing arm or multi-link rear suspension.

I was just looking through my Japanese manual for my Acty Van and saw a picture about removing that round cap above the oil dipstick to check the status of your belts. Has anyone tried this?
@saladbar21 I'm at the step were I set the crank pulley to tdc using the indicator on the alternator belt cover. After realizing the car need to be in neutral to set turn crank counter clockwise lol. My next question though, did you have it in gear when you used your impact to remove the crank pully bolt with your impact. I'm confused how to remove it if spins freely already counter clockwise. I purchased a honda/acura crank tool but looks like that's for civics and accords not acty. THANKS FOR VIDEO!
i have it in gear and wheels locked but man cannot seam to get crank bolt loose. Afraid to use breaker bar since motor is just sitting on floor jack since manual said remove engine mount.
It's so ironic that you recently posted this video. I'm doing the exact same thing to my HA3 right now! I got the timing marks as close as I could and installed the timing belt, but she won't start. I would think it would start even if I was a tooth off. But you're right, I had to walk away today! Any ideas?
Before turning the your HA3 on, did you turn it over by hand to make sure all the marks were lined up? If it ran fine before, my first guess would timing could be off.
@@saladbar21 Thanks, I had the cam at tdc for the 2nd cylinder while the crank was set to first cylinder tdc. It runs great now!

Yup, I decided to keep the van. Long story short, the corvette I wanted sold before I could get all the funds together, so I had no reason to sell the van anymore.

how difficult was it to get it plated in oregon?
It was already registered in Oregon when I bought it. It got registered by luck. The DMV does not like giving registration to KEI vehicles. I know of plenty people who have gotten their registration application denied.
No such thing as half a tooth it would run fine 3 teeth off. If had plenty of customer cars come in running and are off that many. Did you ever try adjusting the valves?
What mileage did you do this at ?
I do not remember what mileage I did it at. I think 60K is the recommended interval. If you are just getting your Acty, I would recommend doing it if you have no service record.
