After I saw that civic type R restoration I've been doing a deep dive into your videos. Seeing that thing get brought back to life was fu**ing great. Great content! You do really good work, man.
@philly spitta81 Right? who leaves an EK9R rusting up in their lawn!?!? I was so happy to see him restore that car! I honestly would've helped him restore car free of charge. TBH I got a little emotional watching that build LoL 😆. And he was no slouch on this ACTY build either! I hope he kept both of these vehicles for himself, because he's the only one that deserves them.
... молодец пацан!-, с детства к технике и труду приучается, не сидит сутками уткнувшись в компьютер, а машинку отреставрировал отлично, пусть служит долго и надёжно!!!
You did a good job on a reasonable budget. It must have been satisfying to do the transformation, cleaning off the rust and painting everything. Can't believe the number of dislikes you got though. Very strange! Obviously it was never intended to be a bare metal restoration.
@@Alderonn10 its a work truck not a pavement princess show truck, repairs are different in the working world, heck could even be a weekend fun truck to use in the bush either way doing first class repairs would be pointless on something you plan on actually using and beating around in the bush
good job my friend !! it's a small utility, great for small jobs and transport of materials... you gave it a second youth, Honda is a brand renowned for the reliability of its engines and the aesthetics of this vehicle is simply adorable...
i think you guys did great work on restoring this but ive never liked vehicles of any kind bedlined. it never looks good after the first month. also not a huge fan of all black vehicles. you do you and im glad your happy with it.
Hello from Russia! Good job! I have a microbus Honda Acty 4wd. I bought it specifically for the construction of my house. Copes with the transportation of building materials perfectly. The patency is excellent!
Incredible transformation what a difference ! Great to see Irish talent and it’s not often you’d come across a pickup of that kind in ireland . I’d love to see a video of how to split , paint and re seal headlights . Maybe black housing headlights on this would be a good little touch to finish off the blacked out look
I might get one for the lambing and have a beacon on top of it cuz why not😂 But if i can i would like to get it for 2-3k if i grt a garage to import it for me but erra idk where to start
I LOVE how you made this Honda Acty look mean. It looks incredible. I want one but 45hp for 1,760 Lbs is hard to imagine. I would need at LEAST 70hp for that weight
Thanks for those highly entertaining videos. They are really brightening my sunday afternoon. I am quite impressed with how your paintjobs tend to turn out. Most non-painterbooth paintjobs i have seen so far don´t look anywhere near that good. That heavy duty coating was a great choice for this thing imo! It´s a shame a built like that would probably never be possible to be driven on the road here in Germany. The TÜV can be a pain in the butt when it comes to things like the bullbar, the lights that you added and the bigger wheels. But since i lack a few things to try my hand with a restoration like that (foremost a space to do it in and about all the skills beyond cleaning the basecar and pulling it apart.. 😉) I won´t have to find out if it´s possible to get one on the road legally. Just two questions remain: How much does it cost you (roughly) to bring a car like this to the state it´s in at the end of the video? And why do all your builds have the steering wheels on the wrong side? (Just kidding ). Thanks for all this qualitycontent, keep up the great work!
Your videos are priceless, because you are showing how stunning results can be achieved without tonnes of money for a top end garage. Not mentioning your boys have a living treasure at home! I wish I had their memories and knowledge they'll have in the future :)

Much nicer than it was. Great job overall. Personally I'm not sold on the bed liner paint job for the whole thing. While it could be (probably is) more durable than a more standard paint it definitely comes off as a 'quick and easy' type deal that reflects in the final product. Obviously sanding/priming the whole truck for a more standard paint job would be a tremendous amount more work. Other than that the front lenses look like they could brighten up a bit with a polish or maybe a lot clearer with a quick LED lamp conversion. Either way you brought a lot of life back into that little truck and it's great that you did.
The benefit to doing this to trail trucks is it makes touch-ups way simpler and allows it to be fully usable as a work truck. But I agree it looks worse
Didn't lifting the struts mess up your steering geometry? I had a hell of a time playing with the steering rack on my build after increasing the clearance.
@Ian Taylor That’s interesting. They haven’t really made many changes since the first release of the Acty too. Just a simple workhorse that hopefully uses a similar reliable power train. I honestly thought the whole kei car had dyed down but there are still some newer ones like the S660.
@Ian Taylor Yeah I find it pretty cool too. I love the small kei cherry pickers, I just find them adorably bizarre. As you said would be a very useful thing to have for small companies (not sure about the costs of kei insurance and stuff but I would’ve thought it’s cheaper. I’m from the UK so we rarely see these). And yeah, Japanese makes have always been known for reliability, which makes certain buyers buy for that reason
How long did this take? Seems a nice project and turned out beautifully. Any advice for how to raise a rear suspension? Proper way I mean. Needs raising about 3"

Whats even more enjoyable than the honda is seeing a frugal man at work with skills and knowledge.
Yes! Thank you for watching 👍

Good work
While I agree, I would add the caveat that it's easy to be frugal when you have a garage full of tools...
You are ahead of your time. While most people bought bigger and bigger vehicles you went smaller and now the oil is so expensive you're cruising

Lot of work now. Beautiful truck .. amazes people can restore old car and make them new again .. great job 👏
I like the end result.... good choices. What a fun, unique toy, over here in the USA we have no idea how common these cars are elsewhere.
