    After a disappointing first half of the year by Serena's standard, it was so amazing to see her win this and equal the most important record in women's tennis back then. All aspects of her game was working very well. Even her net play was very good. The way she served out the match against Kerber is something any woman can hardly do, especially with the weight of history on her shoulders. I wish she got pregnant in 2018 instead of 2017. We would have likely seen more of this level from her for about one more year. It's impressive she finally broke the record in 2017 Australia open whilst pregnant. I don't think any woman would ever win a slam whilst pregnant again, because it's mind boggling. Great compilation as always from this incredible channel.

      Margaret Court won 24 Grand Slam singles titles, so clarify your quote

    • @kofipokuantwi-boateng5446
      @kofipokuantwi-boateng5446 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      @greyhamlogan2255 There's nothing to clarify. Margaret Court didn't win hers in the open era. She only won 11 in the open era. Also 11 out of the 24 slams she won was at the Australia open. During that time most of the top players didn't go to Australia. So she was mostly beating her fellow Australians. Serena and Steffi Graf won theirs in the open era.

      @@kofipokuantwi-boateng5446I always felt that Steffi had the record above Court (for your exact reasons) and therefore, to me, Serena Jameka Williams has the most GS titles. No question.
      I would have liked to see her beat the “record” just to shut up the naysayers. But she has nothing to prove, she has done everything that one can possibly accomplish in tennis. She is an incredible athlete and just changed the game of tennis with her athleticism, skill and a strong mind. We love Serena ❤

      @@NickButler83 They always try to bring up Margaret Court to dim Serena's shine, but it's so laughable. Her era was so weak. She won 192 titles in singles and won several mixed doubles and women's doubles titles. She even won 21 titles in a calendar year. Players in the 21st century even struggle to play more than 10 competitions in a year due to how exponentially harder it is to win matches and titles.

      You needed to clarify that only open tennis records matter you.

    When people say that Coco Gauff is the next Serena Williams...I don't see it...I love Coco but Williams was aggressive in her play not just athletic... she had an amazing court sense and played great defense. I realize Cocos game is still in development but that forehand will need to get fixed quickly as she gets older...once her serve is a weapon, I can see her being a multiple grandslam winner, but man alive Serena was NEXT LEVEL...so was Venus.

    • @BuffyNoir140
      @BuffyNoir140 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Coco is still young, she also doesn't have the same confidence in her shots.
      Maybe the because the Williams sisters had each for practice, competition and emotional support is what made a difference in their success.

    Her topspin and net play were INSANE this tourney! She wanted this so badly after the AO & RG losses.

      It’s the topspin for me. There is nothing I enjoy more when Serena hits the cross court topspin forehand, and it creates that beautiful angle. Perfection

    WE all know by now on who is the real best single, female tennis GOAT !! she had soo many good opponents during her era. the other 22 just got lucky with her tennis career wins, have a weakness in her game, the Bhand and you don't see her on sit down tennis interviews, only impromptu, while the other 24 played at a much slower paced tennis and most of those wins are on her own turf of Aussie land.

    Also after going down that break against Kuzzy, Serena never lost serve again in the tourney. In fact, only Angie had a look at a break point, losing it on an ace.
