Hi, I was a breeder of Chinese Shar Pei for many years, so thought I'd offer you a little new pup advice. The puppies have to stay above 90°, or you will run the risk of losing them. If you really want her in the whelping box, move it closer to the place shes laying, and take the straw shes been laying in, and put it in the box... the box doesnt look like it has enough. If you want her to stay in the box, put a gate over the opening, that latches... I would also put blankets over the box to make it warmer... if you're going to leave her where she is, I'd hang a blanket over the fence, and tack it up on the other wall, like a roof, to keep in the warmth. Put a couple hay bales to cover the end behind her. The other thing is, she will not be hungry enough to leave her babies for a couple days... she just ate 10 placentas... natures way of giving the Mom nurishment, so they dont have to leave the den for a couple days... if you want to feed her, give her warm food, with warm water in it, and take it over to her, so she can eat it without getting up. Since she has 10 pups, and only 8 teets, you are going to have to watch them. If you see any looking smaller, or weaker, you may have to take the bigger pups out for an hour or two, and let the little ones nurse, or just them in 2 groups regularly... it will take her some time in between feedings to build up more milk, so, leave a space of abt at least hour or 2 before you put the 2nd group on her... The easiest way to do that, is tie a little piec of colored yarn on each pup, either 2 colors for the groups, or a diff color for each pup. If she doesnt have enough milk, you will have to supplement with bottles... looks like you have some nice pups, there... good luck to you all!
Hope they see this post. Good information for them to know right away.
But the breed of dog you raised is not the same breed that they have these dogs live outside their livestock guardian dogs, and on a different site this families, livestock guardian dog, has puppies, and the puppies are outside because the mama won’t leave them in as long as the puppies are chubby, which they look like they are I think everything will be fine and I know about breeding animals too, because I bread English mastiffs
What breed are these pups? They are very pretty as well as I can tell, sweet- looking faces 😊❤
Excellent advice. I was thinking about the blanket too. Maybe one on the straw too and change it daily to keep bacteria down.

Leave the puppies where she has them. You keep messing with them and she will move them out of the barn. She is a great Mama. She'll be fine. Feed her puppy food. It will give her the extra vitamins and minerals she needs.
You are so right. They get upset and eventually will move them somewhere you may not be able to see.
Luv you guys,, luv all of your furbees,, wishing kora all the best, the puppies are very cute 🥰🥰🥰
21:00 the goats knew she was getting ready that's why they were staying so close . The MoMA goats knew she was in a vulnerable state so they were standing guard for her this time . Livestock will do that to their protector dogs they will return the favor you could say
Absolutely she's a part of their herd
❤I'm so glad she had her babies
She will keep moving them every time you do! If you’re not careful she will hide them! Just let her keep them where she wants ❤
Ditto that!
Please!!
GOOD Advice....leave her and her puppies alone, where they are for now. Not worth the chance of her going outdoors to do her business, and then coming back in to hide her pups from you. She trusts you competely so don't betray that trust by moving her precious babies!!!
Keep your hands off of them unless the baby is distressed.
Thank you all for patiently waiting! We're getting so excited to share this with our beloved HHF Family.
Yes I can’t wait 😝
Praying and hoping all is well. 🥰🙏❤️
I am very thankful for you's sharing with us all ♥
Thank you for sharing.
Looks like mummànd daddy leeski congratulations 🎉
Awe how sweet daddy and goats there support for mama👍😁😁💎💎💎
I love how the goats and kids are determined to sleep beside and keep chores company. .... Even after you kicked them out lol and then she moved and had her babies on back side of the goat pens. I think Cora and the goats had an understanding.❤
When I was little, I shared a full size bed with my twin sister. In the middle of the night, our German shepherd had her litter of puppies on our bed, while we slept!!! That was quite an education at around 6 years old, and something I remember clearly to this day, when I'm 61!!!
Wow, that must have been a nice surprise to wake up to.
lol my friends frenchie had her pups in her bed! Just right next to her, when she realized what was happening she was thrilled! Just grabbed her some towels and gave her snuggles throughout the process
She wants to keep doing her job and the sides of the welping box hide her view of her herd she’s protecting. She’s like ALL moms and multitasking now🙂
Beautiful, healthy lookijg puppies! And, Cora's a good Mama!
Oh my gosh, I love the sound of the babies 😍🥰♥️😍🥰♥️
I know it's another comment, but it's funny that she was comfortable in the whelping box when the goats were there. When you removed them is when she got anxious and wanted to leave it. She's such a good dog wanting to watch over the goats while in labor.
Agreed. Noticeably anxious when the goats were removed. She didn't like that
I love the way the goats wanted to be by her just like she's by them when they birth.
Congratulations it’s all puppies!!!!
🎉🎈🎁🎂😃
I came upon you by mistake. This was so much fun to watch you with the new puppies. Thank you for sharing.
The reason she might not want her puppies in the box is because she still wants to guard her livestock. So the box might not be ideal for a livestock dog. She just wants to have her puppies close but also wants to be able to do her other job also.
I was thinking along those lines too. She can't see out around her as well while in the box, not only the herd, but for protection for herself & the babies as well. It's hard to know, but it isn't hard to understand she wants them where she wants them! She trusts you, Kevin, 100%, & she seems to call you to check on her when she know you're near. Even with moving the babies, she never got upset with you touching her puppies. Thanks for sharing this experience with all of us.❤
Such a sweet family! What kind of dogs are they?

great point. Just because she had 10 babies doesn't mean she is off duty as a guardian dog. WOW seriously aren't mom's amazing in all forms. But specially farm mom's - their job and day is never done.
From the Kennel Club site.
"In your whelping box, don't use hay, wood shavings or straw, as these can damage the puppy's skin and eyes. Also, don't have lots of small blankets or pieces of cloth as the puppies may crawl underneath them and either be smothered by them or may be crushed by their mum - one large piece of vetbed is ideal."
You can use a couple of old blankets covered with a sheet. Then just change the sheet and the top blanket at the end of the day. Wash and dry and you're ready for the next day. Straw can poke and straw dust isn't good for puppy lungs. Staw is ok for livestock, but puppies are not like goats, horses, or cattle. Straw works for them. Please use "best practices".
i used sheets and blankets and swapped them out. its easy at first because mom will lick the little poos they make while they are nursing at first.
I see a photo of the puppies on straw. That's why I'm concerned. They shouldn't be until they are big enough to run around on it. But even then, the straw will be a problem for them. They will be pooping everywhere, but it will be harder to see and clean up, and keep them out of the poop and clean. Also, if you show puppies on straw, others less experienced will think that it's ok, and it's not really. You're in a position to educate people in "best practices" instead of harmful practices. Great for you if you have already changed out the straw to washable. Let everyone see the new version of the whelping box with sheets and blankets.
Put sheet over the straw, flat as possible n maybe tack down some , if possible, then pups cant get lost under o tangled up in it...
Please try to get the puppies off the straw! It’s too easy for one to lose an eye. I’ve seen it happen ☹️
What a great parents you are I was worried at first because it was so cold. Thank you for giving her a heat lamp turn it on as you can for her and the puppies.
Leski is sure interested and being a good Dad.
It’s almost like she wants the comfort of the goats around her at security. I thought the goats might’ve been a problem being so close to her while she’s delivering but she wants the goats. They’re around her which is good she’s very close with them that’s a good guardian dog, she loves her goats and she wants him around her good protection for her❤❤❤
As he said, the goats are her family 😊
What’s really cute is one has a different birthday … so sweet ❤🐾
I've seen other guardian dogs with "midwife" ffrom their flocks to help keep puppies safe and in some cases warm. Seen puppies once up and about nursing off mommas from the flock too.
Lacy is super happy for puppies.
Your goats and that dog have an amazing bond your dog wouldn't have had the pups with a goat in there if she didn't trust them ❤it's a beautiful thing to see a real LGD ! I hope people understand that amazing bond ❤❤
It's amazing felt sorry for her crying and papa dog worrying about her.
When it comes to babies, Mama knows best!
Congratulations Cora and Leeske! So happy that the babies are doing so good ❤
I have watched for a long time, but I don't comment. This video calls for a huge 'Attagirl' to Cora. The circle of life is amazing. 💯
WHISKEY IS SUCH A GOOD BOY HES LIKE CAN I HELP YOU MOMMA
I love you it's so obvious you have a personal connection with all your animals, and the lovely way you talk to them.
Thanks for brightening my day 💖
You can add some puppy food to her meals as well, she needs it for that big gang❤❤❤
Kora’s guardian angels, the goats are watching over her. They are giving her emotional support.🌻
Oh my gooosh! I dk why people can't leave animals alone?? She was trying to get away from people, the lights, the noise and the heaters. Let her have them where she wants to. She probably got hot. She will keep those puppies warm but giving birth is hard work. If dogs aren't comfortable they can stop the process and thats probably why she waited to have the second one. I know its wonderful to be there and see the miracle but.... just give her some space.
Yes runt, always. Beautiful pupies
You are some beautiful people! Taking care of Gods creatures the way you do, I so wish yo could come there to help you all❤❤❤ congrats
Those goats are doing their job now😊 and protecting their guardian dog at all cost 😊 barn animals will do that
Someone gave good advice about keeping mom and pups warm in one of these comments!!
Just draft proof the area she chose to keep her pups in. I see light coming in the crack behind her on the right. I wouldn’t stress her trying to move them again. The louder the pups are, the closer to them she will stay. If she gets up to use the potty they will scream for her when they get cold. Nature’s way. Ours are Great Pyrenees, our heart breed. Please keep us updated on the herd of dogs! ❤ From the mountains of Virginia. ❤
Kora is going to be a great mom. She might associate the welping box with pain and be a bit afraid of it.
I am crying with how sweet Leeske is being and Kora is being so strong
What a good boy watching and worrying about his girl and his pups!! Hims very good!!
just listen to that little gang of hooligans!! 🥰🥰🤣🤣
good job everyone!! 🤍🤍
I think she wants to be closer to the other animals. She feels more comfortable with them. Congratulations on the 10 puppies Kora! ❤
Wow!!! Congratulations on 10 Puppies!!! That is Great she had no problems!!!! Let her decide where they stay!!! If not she may try to hide them from you!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Did she really have Ten puppies,That was my quess, Ten, but, I heard Kevin, say nine puppies. Oh yea Kevin, just said Ten Puppies, I'm so Happy they are all doing so well. Thank you Father God, I mess up on the time , but I got the litter number right. They our so cute!!!.
O nice
That is exactly what I was thinking watching him change sleeping arrangements for the puppies and kora, ❤
She knows what she’s doing. She’s in a spot she’s happy, cosy, dry - she’ll take care of the puppies!
You can also take those egg shells dry them out and then make a powder out of them and sprinkle it on her food
Leeski placed himself between Kora and the goats as the first pup was coming - what a smart boy! I had an elkhound that had ten pups, we had to bottle feed to supplement poor momma's milk. As they grew, we had a basement full of pups.
Awww,look at leiskey being so concerned,,so sweet🐾🐾💙💜🐾🐾
LESke is so sweet trying to protect & help Cora & the goats wanting to give her emotional support too.A testament to the great relationship they all have.❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Kengals… best dogs ever. Highly intelligent & protective
These are Anatolians
Leeskie looking like a typical worried first time dad.❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
I love how Leski is watching over her and the puppies . He doesn’t know what’s really happening but he’s making sure she’s ok 👍🏻. So sweet. The way she went back to look at her puppy was cute 🥰….
He's a great Dad
I’ve never had a dog carry on and cry so much as she did d before having the pups. I would have taken her to the vet.
Hooman papa...was a nervous wreak! All is obviously well. 🙂👍❤🐾
CONGRATULATIONS to y'all Cora and Leeske. So glad everything went good for Cora and the puppies. Leeske acted like he wanted to comfort Cora the way he was hanging around her. GOD bless y'all.
He checked out the first puppy really closely, and she let him. So sweet.
Been watching your family for months like everyone anxious for Cory birthing her baby’s and proud of daddy protecting her beautiful pups thanks for sharing
Now that the puppies are 5 or 6 days old, will you tell us if they 've all made it and are healthy? What a great mom Kora turned out to be.
Congratulations on all the little puppies. 🩷🤍🩷
This reminds me of the birth of baby Jesus! The goats and Leeski knew something wonderful was going to happen and then Cora gave birth to 10 beautiful pups with her goat family around her!! So precious. So special!!
Congratulations Cora and Leeske and family. Cora will be happy to allow you to hold and pet her puppies. She trusts you, and the more you pet them and hold them later on the better they will be for their next family even if they are farm dogs they still need to be good with people, a lot of farms have children and need to have trustworthy pets, especially when they are so large. Good luck to you all!
A great surprise to find Kora having babies❣️
Never a dull moment on the farm.
Oh my goodness. I feel like running out and buying 10 tiny onesies. Good idea? Ok i guess not. Much love to you all.
She did a great job. Just respect her space at least for the first few weeks. She knows how to care for her babies. The Lord gave her everything she needs. If having the goats near makes her comfortable leave it. It didn't look like it was bothering her. As far as a runt. No worries there. My vet couldn't believe that the runt ended up much bigger than her mother. 😂 She was born without a tail. Mom didn't want anything to do with her. I took her from her bag, cleaned her, and got her breathing. I kept her, and 13 1/2yrs later I laid down next to her while she took her last. If you need a name, hers was Grace. We called her Gracie. She was a beautiful girl.
Sweet ❤
Only thing is cute is when puppies fight over the milking spot they would kick each other and the mother would just lick them I had a mother dog that did that before even growled at the puppies to stop fighting..
she really did for a first time espesh. A good girl who deserves some venison steaks.
Yes respecting her space is top priority. Her whole body language facing away from everyone says leave me alone! Animals know what to do they don’t need humans moving their new babies!
I'm so happy that you and Gracie had so many wonderful years together.
Gracie is a beautiful name.❤
I am so happy, and breathing a sigh of relief, that Cora has had her puppies!! 10 of them, all chubby and healthy looking!! Leeske was such a good "nervous father" pacing the barn, staying close to her, but giving Cora the space she needed. You and Rachel did an awesome job as a first time human puppy parents. Now looking forward to these 10 little ones bouncing all over the place 😊
Thank you Lord for answered prayer!
🙏❤️🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕❤️🙏
How many times have I re-watched This? Thank-you
❤0nly 5Xs (so far...)
Not always a runt, I’ve had probably 5 -7 over 15 years breeding. Glad they are all healthy. 😊❤❤
My vet recommended we feed our mama wet puppy food while nursing (in addition to whatever dry). Helps with their milk production and keeps them in good body condition. Congratulations, they’re beautiful 🥰👏👍
Yes, we did that for our Mommy. She also needs lots and lots of water to help milk production for 10 puppies. Best of luck❤
I just happened to find this video in my YT feed. Loved it! We had 2 litters of GSD so my husband and I could have Service Dogs. Ours were born in our living room. It was such an awesome experience. Our mamma dog kept looking at me and the phone because she remembered the sound of newborns. Made me cry! Thank you!
Kevin and Rachel, thank you for sharing this beautiful video of Kora with her TEN PUPPIES!! How very exciting! Leeske looks so concerned, but a proud Daddy, too. I am so thrilled for you all.
Great job mama! 10 beautiful pups! Those colors!!! I wish we had smellivision...PUPPY BREATH ❤ Leeske is a doting daddy. I noticed her 2nd pup was bigger than her first. Runt can be born in no particular order. Congrats everyone ❤🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕🐕❤🐕🐕🎉🎉🥰
I don't get to watch your videos often.bad net..but today I saw Kora as a puppy. Then a full grown dog..and now a proud moma..crazy. wonderful..got your hands full now
from the photo I see some of dad's and some of Kora's, so beautiful. Oh I love these babies.
Congratulations Kevin and Rachel, on Kora safely delivering 10 Beautiful Puppies.
Cora and Leeskee, Congratulations, 10 beautiful puppies. Cora is a wonderful Mom. Leeskee is a great Dad. Protecting Cora and their puppies. Thank you Rachel and Kevin for shaaring Leeskee and Cora's 10 little miracles with. Blessings and love to you all. ❤️🐕
Congrats to you all.. so cool that the goats wanted to stay right there with her
.❤❤❤ the sound of those babies bee newborns and crying with such a precious thing to listen to. It filled my heart up with joy. My little 8-year-old Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix, her name is lena, just sit and listened and listened and listened I am so happy for Cora and Leeske❤❤❤
Congratulations Kora and Leeski! Kevin I think Leeski deserves a treat for being such a great partner and first time daddy. Kora is an awesome mom. She did amazing for the first time. ❤🙏🏽
Lesson is cleaning the babies just like he does for the mommy goats. Such a good boy
Gods Miracles. You have a wonderful place. 🙏🙏🌺🌺🌺❤️❤️❤️🌺🌺🙏🙏🙏
Congrats! I use to give my shepherd eggs, goat milk, vanilla ice cream (not too much), raw chicken legs, liver, sweet potatoes, and a couple other things I can't remember at the moment. But they help with milk production. My girl had 6 puppies but unfortunately only 3 survived (1 was still born, 1 was born with a burst hernia so the vets had to put her down, and the runt passed away in my arms 5 days after birth. I was in the ER Vet literally 5 times the 1st week trying to keep that lil baby alive.) I kept one of the puppies and momma got fixed right after she had this 1 litter. I let her have 1 litter so I could keep her bloodline with me, hopefully for generations to come!
I loved watching how attentive and respectful Leeski was with Kora. Such endearing love between the two was so cool to see. ❤
CONGRATULATIONS TO CORA AND HER BEAUTIFUL BABIES🐶🐶👩🏻🦳🙏❤️🇺🇸
Their colors will evolve and not always a runt…it’s noticeable when you have one. I give mama chicken livers…super foods and babies get lots of milk. Then when the puppies start eating I give them chicken livers also. I save egg shells and grind them up in the puppy gruel. Congratulations on a beautiful healthy litter. Cora did great and has so much support. 🎉
You're such a great fur daddy ❤ yea, best not to stress out new momma!! 🥹 They're beautiful!! Congrats
As for the colors of the puppies remember they are not only combo of Cora & Leeske they are also part of Cora & Leeske parents. Also their colors may change as they get older.
- also remember they all must be vaccinated & weened & on food before you sell them.
God Bless.
Thank again for making all of us part of your family
She knows what’s best! She will do what works for her. Just monitor. Leave them where she wants them. Only causes her stress if you do what she doesn’t want. ❤. They’re beautiful.
Oh my , one nanny goat and kid is in with her for support I guess 😮 that’s funny cause daddy wants to help too 😊☺️
Aww I thought I counted 11 but your there ☺️😁
Yes she will move them when she wants too hopefully she won’t move them out of your reach ❤😂❤❤what a blessing 10 puppies 🥰💝💘
I have had 2 dogs with large litters first was a collie she had 16 puppies her first litter and 14 lived one we didn’t know it was in bushes and another was stuck so she have to have emergency c section and we lost that one also , so 14 out of 16 puppies oh my , we had to bottle feed 1/2 at a time to help her oh it was a job for those puppies 😮😢❤❤❤
The goats were probably giving her comfort and warmth.
You can move them in there once she is settled. One of the biggest dangers is a puppy getting chilled, they can’t regulate their body heat for the first 10 days.A heating pat on low would be a good idea, they will move away from it if they get to warm. if they are piled up it means they are cold, when they spread out it means they are warm😊 I would love to have one🥰
Give treats to Kora and Leaskie, congratulations on all the puppies.
They are such cute little puppies!
Congratulations on all 10 of your little puppies.
So happy all went well with Cora and the puppies. 10 puppies!!! That’s fantastic!! Cora did such a great job for a first time mum. The puppies are in good hands. You will have record viewers over the next couple of months!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Awe I loved how daddy was right there with her the whole time trying to help her out that was the cutest thing ever. And Coria did so good it is so cute. Good job Coria you are such a good momma. Thank you for letting me be part of it.
Beautiful puppies, I'm so glad that you let us be there while she had some of her puppies. You and Rachel are so good to your animals.
They love you all as much as y'all love them
Gof bless to all the animals and you, Rachel, and the kids.
Stay warm and safe
I see a lot of foals born but my dog having 16 pups was the most anxious I've ever felt...what a LONG affair it was. We then had to bottle feed as there were so many.
That heat lamp would be soothing her pain a bit...
What temperature is it ...looks freezing (oh you said 15 degrees...)
You can get heat mats which might be safer than heat lamps.
I'm loving the pups...and love the silver with the socks !
Don't forget to give her calcium....she will need it with 9 pups...
There is always a lighter one like there is a heavier one....usually a runt is a LOT smaller. You have to watch newborn pups because they can get fading puppy syndrome where they just start to fade away and not feed...and everntually die. Watch for the puppy which isn't eating as well and make sure that puppy is always on the teat..
With our big litter we would weigh them daily in a kitchen scales, just to see they were gaining weight (so eating well).
Congratulations for Mom and Dad and Grandpa and Grandma
Good boy Leeskie for helping your girl have her puppies and cleaning them. Oh thoses squeaks!! So excitedddd. Good job momma koraaaaa
Thank you!!
I love that the other animals wanted to be with her to keep her company. You moved some of them when you arrived, but I imagine she felt not so alone with her friends there with her. Looking at the video, I think she probably moved to get closer to them.
She figured it out so far she feels safe there
Congratulations on Cora having 10 beautiful puppies ❤❤❤
Can you imagine as a human Mom having to deal with this many births at one time! God is amazing! Good job Cora! You’re a great Mom! And to Leeskie for standing guard like a good Dad would do! Your TH-cam family loves you both and your beautiful puppies!
Kevin, you just have to trust Cora’s instinct with where she wanted to have the puppies. Perhaps the smaller space gives her comfort.
OMG !!! That was the sweetest thing .... to see the Moma goats and babies comforting Kora❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢 I love it😂😂😂
Papa was so attentive and anxiously trying to help. How sweet.
Glad You Put The Heating Lamp In For The Puppies!!!!
Make Sure Puppies Latch On To MOM As Soon As You Can!!!! Love Watching This.... Thank You ❤❤❤
Congratulations on the most adorable puppies! 10!!! Oh my goodness! We truly did not think that she would have so many as a first time mom! The colors will be interesting to watch and change as they grow! My son has a Cane Corso she just turned 1 yr old on Dec. Any way she was a “blue “ color with ice blue eyes! Beautiful pup! Now… as a 1 yr old… she is chocolate brown with brown eyes! She is just a beautiful “huge” dog!🥰. We are so excited for your human family and the farm family to have these amazing new arrivals!!🥰. Prayers for all!🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🥰🥰🥰
