agreed, this doesn't fit it to the end of Z or the end of super, or relate to anything going on in the manga. This feels like the movie with vegeta's brother.
For some reason I have parallels with the GT, only more advanced and modern version of it.

Not SUPER pumped about the idea of the kids thing again. Initial thought are that they thought about GT which was not great and thought “let’s do the little kid thing, but with everyone”. But the animation does look cool and if nothing else it gives them a way to move forward with possible techniques and combat instead of the 47th new transformation, and possible reset the power scaling from multiversal destruction; back down to more normal combat.
I hope them being children is used in a way that makes characters like tien and yamcha relevant again

I honestly don't know what to think about this.. I mean I ain't gonna judge just by the trailer and this video until I see the show itself once it's released, but just so far I really don't know how I feel about the concept and all of this new Dragon Ball Daima Show, like I said until it's released and I see the show itself.
Would be nice, if it will be similar to Naruto SD.

I would like to think maybe the new evil is probably from one of the universes that were not part of the tournament or power and seeing how Goku’s team were the champions,beings form those universes are now intrigued and are making moves.

all i can say is that i'm interested, we won't know if its good or bad but seeing its made by Toriyama-san himself i have hopes that it will at least be accepted as a good part of DB in general
The animation looks so dam nice and smooth, I'm so excited we get whole new Dragonball show and get to experience the story all at the same time
For years I've been waiting for Dragon Ball Super Season 2 so they could introduce Vegeta's Ultra Ego Power and Frieza's Frieza Black Power and I was really looking forward to seeing Broly's first team up fight with Goku and Vegeta against all the new villains and this is what they give us.

This is absolutely why I feel that good things needs to eventually come to an end.....or we'll inevitably watch it turn to ruin. I'm not even gonna give this mess a chance, cause I will not watch it. I didn't care for super, but I did keep up with it to see where it was going since it was SUPPOSE TO lead to the ending of Z.....now we got muppet babies, the dragon ball edition.

Fun fact, the reason the name changed is because Toriyama was so indecisive on the name it only was settled a days ago
I assume the title was always gonna be Daima in jp, and the debate was on the international name, whether it would be localised to Magic or remain as Daima; ultimately choosing the latter. Honestly I think Magic might've been more marketable in the west so remains to be seen if this was a good call or not.
cool fact, toriyama's indecisiveness led to the name change being settled just days ago.

@@joeshearman2341 I doubt it, this name was shown at an English conference and toriyama even had a note where he explained that Daima is a made up word that translates to Evil in English

yeah, this really seems like some pussy shit aimed towards a younger audience. they're probably going to make everyone scrawny with a lack of gore as well. would've been better off rerunning GT with better animation

Goku and vegeta can’t be any weaker then gotten and trunk during the majin buu saga so they should still be able to turn ssj.

I just noticed, the new villains seem to be watching scenes that are specifically from the Buu saga. That's probably relevant, especially since the Supreme Kai is going to have an important role.

i think one of the villain looks like tapion and the other looks like that small member of pride troopers.and i think it will be set after buu saga and before BoG because the are showing a lot of scenes from buu saga in the background.
They become Kids but can they do Super saiyan just like the GT 🤔, and its really good because goku's power pole 💈 is back!!!
It said that when they got shrunk Goku and Vegeta's power got reduced. They still got memories of their adulthood but they lose most of their later powers which is why Goku now had the extension pole.

I think the hypest thing about this anime series is that Goten and Trunks are babies again but almost super close goku and Vegeta's age.. now if Goku and Vegeta turns adult again if they have a Time skip in this anime we will see a grown-up pan, trunks, Goten and Bulla
Could be Toriyama turning this into the kid friendly DB anime and Super will go back to the grittiness of Z 👀

Kid Goku and Kid Vegeta is all we need! The Prince of Saiyan is a little kid again. I hope we could see some new transformation or fusion sort of like a Kid Gogeta or Kid Vegito since the supreme Kai is there.

I’ll watch this and likely enjoy it, but we all want super to return and they know it.
I’d also be okay with a GT reboot that isn’t Daima, but still continues the dbs timeline and isn’t an outright GT retcon but a new show that isn’t a rushed piece of shit.
I’m not a total GT hater, I just feel we were given an unpolished and rushed project that had potential to be greater is all.

@chuckingreaper8654 Keyword "some" If you can recall GT's release and how disappointing the child aspect was to many, this will feel like a slow-down to the continuation of the actual DBS manga. I'm sure there are many who either like seeing children as the main cast of modern Dragonball and some who are desperate for anything dragonball and animated, but I don't have too much hype for this series.
@@oktober4803 I mean, some of Supers arcs were terrible rehashes or utter fluff so I don’t see the difference. I think this will be a unique experience with a shift towards classic DB, something GT really tried to succeed in, but gave up after the black star arc. You’ll probably watch it too and since the manga is still being done, there will still be alternative DB media.

I respect you for that; You're correct, I will go out of my way to watch this, and that's why I am judging it the way I am. Forgive me for being a cynic, but so far, I am just not feeling it. Hopefully, this show proves me wrong as Dragonball is a series near and dear to mine and many others' hearts.
@@oktober4803 No, no it’s totally fair to be concerned over the series. I honestly thought this show was something akin to DB heroes which I’m not a fan of at all. I think this series has a very curious vibe to it which I’m not completely settled down on. But the animation and mild attention to detail has me more hooked plus if this trickles down into when Super comes back to cover the manga arcs, it will be amazing.
I think it’ll be fun, the characters are all so well know so it actually looks pretty funny. A little weird 17 is a kid with a kid, but let’s see what happens.
Turning the Androids into kids just isn’t logical cause they are machines that where made in adult form, androids don’t age and never where kids before so this idea is just plain stupid
@@Patrovisch This is in the same fictional universe where a magical wish granting dragon appears when 7 balls are next to each other. So I don’t think it’s that stupid. But how funny would that be if when the androids get turned into to kids they just turn into computer chips, and some screws.
Akira couldn't figure out where to go with the series after giving them god power so he made them kids and nerfed their power levels. At least in gt goku could go ssj4 and be an adult while holding the transformation.

Hey as long as it's better animated than super, which it looks to be. Then I'm on board. I think its a fun and unique twist to the series and will be interesting to see what adventures unfold.

To my knowledge, they didnt mention whether or not this would be a tv or web anime. If they did say something about it, I wouldn't know because of popverse....
So wait as I recall dragon hall gt is not canon right? So will this basically be a new series but will take inspiration from gt? Looks good but wow waiting a year might be too long. But hopefully there will be a movie before that
It feels like they wanna make a modern reboot of dragon ball for a new audience, but a lot of what made OG dragon ball good was the often raunchy comedy that there’s no way they’ll do nowadays.
Tame comedy with less power? Eh. I’ll give it a chance but I don’t have high hopes.

Daima may be the thing that ruins dbz for the super fanboys but for the og dragon ball fans, we be eating good sense toriyama is bringing things back to the roots with goku being a kid and having it be ‘mystical adventure’
Truth is, I'm glad they're going this direction. The Manga direction has become really redundant and they're all roughly the same in terms of meeting new and more powerful enemies, so a new transformation has to be introduced. Based on what it seems, the main characters aren't intended to remain as kids, but turned back to adults. Plus, with the loss of power it makes them easier to defeat, giving the new enemies an upper hand. Thus eliminating another transformation.
The character I do hope they bring into this journey is Broly. He really should become a main character with the rest of the team.
