i remember watch dragon ball when i was A KID but never watched anything releated to anime, suddenly ep 109 and 110 of dragon ball super were all over the internet and i was like hey, its goku. before that only thing i knew was super saiyan and goku. i watched dragon ball, dragon ball z and dragon ball gt within 4 months and dragon ball super was going on. technically dragon ball is my first anime, followed by death note and naruto. two years ago i watched bleach it became my fav because i got same vibe as dragon ball. i am now in good shape and fandom never lets you go down in life, quotes from vegeta and goku inspires everyone who go to gym. as a sign of respect and payment to toriyama i am changing my profile picture to goku.
There would be no Pokémon without him if he never did the dragon quest designs, also a lot of other character designs would not even exist without him he really is the goat
Same, I was fortunate enough to see the ocean dub the FUNimation dub and the Dragon Ball z Kai dub. I found pros and cons in each dub. Even in the Japanese dub. There's always been one thing that's always been the same for me, and that is I loved the Dragon Ball franchise and still do it and will always love it.

For Dragon Ball GT, Toriyama provided original character designs for the main characters, made some illustrations to show the tone of the series, and also designed the spaceship and the logo. Yes, he wasn't involved beyond that but his contribution to GT is something.

I was born in 1990 and grew up watching Dragon Ball when I was in elementary school. Toriyama's death makes me very sad because it feels like my childhood memories are being erased. I think that men from all contemporary countries would feel the same way as me.

I wonder how many notes and ideas were jotted down before he passed. He said in an interview he had renewed interest in creating more stories with Dragon Ball. It’s not going to be the same without him. I can only imagine what ideas and stories he may have entertained his family and friends and close associates both in his work and normal everyday conversations. His interviews showed him to be a likable unique man.

It still hurts deeply. It hurt deep when Kazuki Takahashi passed away, but Akira was my all time favorite Manga author of all time. I'm sure Toyotaro will do the series justice. His artwork has been amazing so far. I'm not sure how much of the story actually was his doing and how much was Akira's, but I have faith DB will continue on and we'll get to see plenty of new villains, transformations and amazing renditions of the Manga in Anime form. I'm absolutely certain that Super Hero won't be the final big screen movie. I couldn't even begin to predict what comes next, although it's obvious it will be involving Black Frieza. Either ways I'm looking forward to it all and will without a doubt check both Sand Land out as well as Daima. I could care less if Daima looks childish or what some non fans call babyish. I think what happened was Toriyama wanted the childish adventure aspect of the original dragon ball back in stead of the serious aspect of Z. (I heard this years ago) Plus I heard the new arcs of super(Moro and Granolah) are better than most of super. Moro is actually getting alot of praise while Granolah is alright. The people who say the Moro arc is a copy of the Cell arc haven't read anything. Some scenes are very similar but the reason and outcome is totally different.

You're wrong about Toriyama not being involved with GT. He was actually pretty hands on at the very beginning, and did characyer designs as well as location designs. I believe he also came up with the name GT (Grand tour) as well as the concept of the first arc This information is out there if you do your research

I'm sure they will do more but it might be the last of what they have worked on. There might be a way to end what is currently happening will end. Then after they may keep things close to what it was like yet put to rest some of the story so they can keep something going.
Toyotarou may have to finish the story left off by Toriyama. We're only missing a writer, but everything else they can always adapt. Considering the plot holes already expanded between Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT, don't know if Uub will ever introduce at the end.
Good question since the Super anime hasn't continued since 2018 (2019) in the USA anime wise but DQ3's 2D/HD remake doesn't have a release date and he helped design the party members/monsters in those games same with Chrono Trigger which still doesn't have a PS4 PS5 Switch port at all.

I really hope that he had some kind of outline of where the wanted to take the series going forward, like a "series bible" or some such, with broad strokes, or specifics... And wasn't just completely winging it? If not, I hope that whoever picks it up next, if anyone [and I doubt anyone will let such a profitable and well-known franchise rest or go to seed], will continue to do it justice and carry forward existing storylines / character & power progressions in a sensible way...
I still very much hope that they back-door canonize DB GT. I think it would be quite simple, by way of some dialogue from Whis saying that the "GT" timeline was a particular universe, or timeline branch that Zeno had previously erased from existence due to [insert reasons]. So, it existed, but was wiped out. But, maybe it could be wished back with the Super Dragon Balls, and we could get Zenoverse / Super Dragon Ball Heroes style cross-overs between the GT / "Prime" universes/timelines?
With toriyama's untimely passing, the authenticity of the dragonball story following Goku and his friends has officially concluded. I'm glad toriyama finished his story of dragonball the way he wanted and gave us new stories through the story arcs of super and diama. I'll continue to read the super manga, since it already has an established end through Toriyama's vision. What comes after super, will be something very artificial without Toriyama being around to oversee it. How I see it, after toriyama's untimely passing, the dragon ball franchise should just retire the character Goku and company, and start fresh with new characters within the same universe of dragon ball in order to preserve Goku's true legacy. Have Goku appear every now and again but not be a main character. I think with a cast of new characters, it would make things much easier for Toyotaru to incorporate his own ideas which will not be contrary to how toriyama had written his own created characters, which he knows better than anybody. Also, this could mitigate fans from feeling too judgemental since the new characters will not be the ones they are familiar with. But in honestly, having seen how the dragon ball franchise has handled different stories without toriyama overseeing it over the years, does not set well with me of how well the franchise would continue over the years.
I’m sure Toriyama’s successor able to continue the Super series, good or bad don’t matter. There so much Goku, Vegeta and all the characters to grow more powerful and new characters friends, rivals for Goku to challenge. More Xenoverse episode continue.

Even if the show continues, I can't with good conscience watch it anymore. Without him here we will NEVER finish the show the way we were supposed to. Plus I heard the new arcs of super(Moro and Granolah) are better than most of super. Moro is actually getting alot of praise while Granolah is alright. The people who say the Moro arc is a copy of the Cell arc haven't read anything. Some scenes are very similar but the reason and outcome is totally different.

You're wrong about Toriyama not being involved with GT.
He was actually pretty hands on at the very beginning, and did characyer designs as well as location designs. I believe he also came up with the name GT (Grand tour) as well as the concept of the first arc

Dragon Ball is going to live on, DUH!!!! Im suffering hard but we as a community, with everyone doing what ifs and fan animation he united the world. I think he would be proud of all the fan stuff. Oda-Sensei has called Toriyama a god, and has drawn inspiration from Toriyama. That's how influential this man is.
I'm sure they will do more but it might be the last of what they have worked on. There might be a way to end what is currently happening will end. Then after they may keep things close to what it was like yet put to rest some of the story so they can keep something going.

I think the answer has been pretty obvious. It's going to continue under Toyotarou's direction.
Toyotaro was not the only artist that could replicate it was also young jiijii and dragongaro Lee so ya they were also able to do them same.
Toyotarou may have to finish the story left off by Toriyama. We're only missing a writer, but everything else they can always adapt. Considering the plot holes already expanded between Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT, don't know if Uub will ever introduce at the end.

Good question since the Super anime hasn't continued since 2018 (2019) in the USA anime wise but DQ3's 2D/HD remake doesn't have a release date and he helped design the party members/monsters in those games same with Chrono Trigger which still doesn't have a PS4 PS5 Switch port at all.

I really hope that he had some kind of outline of where the wanted to take the series going forward, like a "series bible" or some such, with broad strokes, or specifics... And wasn't just completely winging it? If not, I hope that whoever picks it up next, if anyone [and I doubt anyone will let such a profitable and well-known franchise rest or go to seed], will continue to do it justice and carry forward existing storylines / character & power progressions in a sensible way...
I still very much hope that they back-door canonize DB GT. I think it would be quite simple, by way of some dialogue from Whis saying that the "GT" timeline was a particular universe, or timeline branch that Zeno had previously erased from existence due to [insert reasons]. So, it existed, but was wiped out. But, maybe it could be wished back with the Super Dragon Balls, and we could get Zenoverse / Super Dragon Ball Heroes style cross-overs between the GT / "Prime" universes/timelines?

With toriyama's untimely passing, the authenticity of the dragonball story following Goku and his friends has officially concluded.
I'm glad toriyama finished his story of dragonball the way he wanted and gave us new stories through the story arcs of super and diama.
I'll continue to read the super manga, since it already has an established end through Toriyama's vision.
What comes after super, will be something very artificial without Toriyama being around to oversee it.
How I see it, after toriyama's untimely passing, the dragon ball franchise should just retire the character Goku and company, and start fresh with new characters within the same universe of dragon ball in order to preserve Goku's true legacy. Have Goku appear every now and again but not be a main character.
I think with a cast of new characters, it would make things much easier for Toyotaru to incorporate his own ideas which will not be contrary to how toriyama had written his own created characters, which he knows better than anybody. Also, this could mitigate fans from feeling too judgemental since the new characters will not be the ones they are familiar with.
But in honestly, having seen how the dragon ball franchise has handled different stories without toriyama overseeing it over the years, does not set well with me of how well the franchise would continue over the years.
Well super is in its last arc anyway.
I’m sure Toriyama’s successor able to continue the Super series, good or bad don’t matter. There so much Goku, Vegeta and all the characters to grow more powerful and new characters friends, rivals for Goku to challenge. More Xenoverse episode continue.

Even if the show continues, I can't with good conscience watch it anymore. Without him here we will NEVER finish the show the way we were supposed to. Out of respect, they should end the show and leave it at that as they already have with so many other shows but DBZ being the cashcow it is, I doubt they will respect his passing.
