Love it! Like you, I tend to gravitate towards brighter, bolder colors, however my husband...not so much. Thank you for showing how a perceived drab color (grays or boring neutrals) can blend and transform something outdated into a stunner. Not too frilly or fancy for the Hub's tastes, yet elegant and beautiful at the same time.

I love the bright pieces you paint; however, this neutral blended with gold inside would sell very well in my area. I want to try blending with these colors and the dark wax brings out the sweet carvings. Your friend will have something she can remember you by forever!

Love it ...simple neutral with the transfer gave it a twist.... here in belgium there are lots and lots of secretary on facebook market with gr8 prices between 30 to 100 euros...I wish soon to come back to painting family first thats life

Wow, for someone who does not like the "neutral" word, you do great work with it and it wasn't plain or boring at all!!! I did have some questions though on a few products you used. For the Prima acrylic in gold, did this have to be sealed? I've never used acrylics before, but they have some awesome colors I want to play with, I just don't know their durability. On the salve, is this kind of the same as the Big Momma's Butta you used to use? The application seemed similar, so I was curious on that. ps: Love that you've gone back to your full-blown pink hair, things did not seem quite right the paler your hair got!!

This is beautiful! I enjoy using transfers. Mine always seem to look like stickers. I have tried sanding around the edges to blend them in a bit but since my sanding skills are not great it makes the paint finish look off. How do you get yours to look painted on? I am loving that you try all these different products!
awww hey Pam!!! thank you!! okay so I burnish them super super well, then burnish them more with my hands, and then with a microfiber cloth, then burnish them again with my hands lol then once I put the top coat on the "halo" in generally non-existent :) It also depend son the brand as well, sometime people also trim that "halo" off :)

If you want a different way to describe the gray colors you chose, you can describe them as taupe😉. I also have to let you know that I love your hair color, you look beautiful in it.

What does MDF mean?
It's particle board :) basically a fiber board prep together with a bunch of wood or synthetic fibers :) think of Ikea furniture.
