    I'm in Eugene, Oregon and have my tamarillos just sprouting now. I'll find out if they survive in my winters.

    Your winter... do you plant whole thing? Seeds look like from something else, you don’t eat skins?

    • @RealLifeFruitopia
      @RealLifeFruitopia  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't eat raw skins. I don't plant trees in winter, only green veggies.

    Hey George which type is more tasty the red yellow or the orange tamerillo.
    Thanks

      The orange is sweeter. I prefer the tanginess of the red.

    Cool, maybe the stem needs to dry first? IDK, but i've seen most of the fruits have dry stem, don't know if that makes the fruit taste better, like avocado or something.

      You are right. After one week indoors they are definitely tastier.

    They can be sweet, leave them on the tree until soft to touch.

      Good idea. We like them both tart and slightly sweet.

    11:24 May I suggest some sort of video camera stand, or tripod that holds your camera perfectly still, and allows you to use both hands? It will take your video quality to the next level, allow us to see more clearly and without shaking. There will be even more detail of the fruit, thanks

      Hey thanks for the reminder, I've thought about that for a while. I'm after a selfie stick/tripod in one, if they exist.

    Chopped-up and mixed with tomatoes, diced red onions and a dash of brown sugar, salt and pepper, these make a delicious salsa. I'm in England and have managed to harvest a lot of ripe fruit from my red variety tamarillo. Have you noticed that the white blossoms have a nice aroma to them? www.flickr.com/photos/167319996@N06

      They preserve themselves, hanging on the tree until mid spring.
