  • @mitrikgaduk347
    @mitrikgaduk347 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    On that opening: One of the most amazing things is when you hear a massive crowd of people singing and chanting along with the music they are experiencing live. It's an incredibly powerful thing to hear so many individual voices at different levels, timbres, pitches, in key, out of key, just letting it all come out. Man, that'd suck if they all sounded identical, because even robots don't sound alike. Your individual voice is unique and something you should be proud of. Although some sound ever so close, they never sound identical, it's one of those perfect imperfections of humanity that I utterly adore.
    (Fun fact: Robots don't actually all sound alike, even if they had the same voice, the speakers emitting the sound would all be ever so slightly different, because there is no such thing as a perfect speaker. It's a strangely endearing concept, we as perfectly imperfect creatures create machines so that they may do what we cannot perfectly, and as a result can never achieve actual perfection. That's a mouthful.)

But he's not taking that for granted. He even said, THAT PART was a total accident and unplanned. He just did a thing he thought would sound cool. He's truly an inspiration to those who seek it. Those who see it as just a flex, or can't be as good, aren't trying.

    Im a classical singer just finding all of this fascinating and it has me wondering how I can somehow incorporate these techniques into classical music. For instance, in Shubert’s “Erlkönig” I’ve always thought it would be cool to use harsh vocals when the Erlking reveals his true intentions in the song/poem. And actually, metal band Hope Lies Within did something like this in their arrangement/cover of Erlking/Erlkönig (they recorded both in English and German). Thank you for all of the insight, Mark!

    With my high tunnels, I have to poke my tongue into my bottom lip instead of against the back of my teeth, because for some reason putting my tongue against my teeth and arching it up hits my gag reflex
    Also if you’ve never tried it, take a blegh, and start out with a tunnel on it and slide out of it as the blegh goes on, makes it sound disgusting in the best way

    Prior to listening to To the Hellfire a few times, watching a few reactions, the release of the Title Track -which I immediately fell in love with-, and the interview charismatic voice did with Will... I never really cared to listen to deathcore... like... at all. I think the thing that sets (at least currently) lorna shore from the rest, is the insane amount of melody going on. I LOVE when bands use orchestral additions. Classical and metal are the 2 best combinations, and the way that they have mixed it is a perfect unison. Also Will has a LOT of annunciation in his screams, which is something I really appreciate
    Also I have to say. I've always wanted to be able to scream. Circa 2002 when my cousin showed me In Flames Clayman for the first time. Will, like Anders, has made it so I wish I could do them... and have his range

    just started watchin your videos last night and I really dig em ! I'm a bassist mainly and do some singing/vokills, but I enjoy someone who can teach with a good dose of humor. you're very detail oriented and that's huge when it comes to any Instrument. I'd suggest checking out a live Mayhem song, when they still had Maniac with them. Basically between 97' and 2004. That being said, that voice that your wife absolutely hates, sounds like some raging uber-nerd lmao. Especially when you reacted to Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies of the great apocalypse". When you read out some of the lyrics towards the end of the video, in that voice, I totally lost it 😂. Love it, dude ! Cheers from Montreal 🤘
