Glad to see the new video again, thank you. l dare say China is better than the West in many ways.Modernization, convenience, hospitality, safety, all of these has left a positive impression on me. So l told my families and friends that it was only after I came to China l deeply appreciated how excellent China has developed.

Many think Chinese made things are not good quality. It's not the maker, actually its the businesses/companies in your country buying cheap products from china to take a big chunk of the profit. Chinese can make anything of any quality. More sugar, more sweetness!

Actually those companies make cheap quality stuffs in China and sell in Walmarts are not own by chinese people, those companies owners are from the West, they operate their manufacturies in China, hired cheap Chinese labors to make them.

I've taken Chinese HSRs and Japanese Shinkansen's, and I think the Japanese ones are more convenient. You just jump on and jump off, Chinese train stations compared to Japanese ones are pretty chaotic in comparison. On the train it is about the same, though on the BJ to GZ route I always took (wife's family lives in Chenzhou Hunan), the train car was pretty empty for most of the trip.

I have not been to the canton fair since 2019. It was absolutely astonishing to see, and massive. It's pretty much football fields and floors to see full of manufacturers that can produce anything you want. From large to small manufacturers. It is an amazing place to be, and I recommend anyone manufacturing to check this place out. I took pictures with lots of these manufacturers and logistic shippers, and I still speak to some of them to this day.

Imagine after China developed the currently underdeveloped countries in South America, Africa, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, South Asia and Middle East into full scale markets, the numbers and quantities of products will be many times what's being manufactured in China today. This Canton Fair will also be many times bigger!
Of course that's when China will place manufacturing productions in other countries for lower labor costs, one reason is cut down labor costs and the other reason is benefit those countries. Then China will become the center for adminstration and production management, research and development, sales and marketing., with manufacturing productions done in countries with lower labor costs.
Today's young people who are doing online selling domestically or nationally in China will evolve to selling internationally.
There will be many young billionaires, if not trilionaires, in their early twenties or even teenagers in China.
BRICS+ will be helping member countries to become their best with whatever potentials they have, providing aids if needed.
Now the only question is how well CPC leadership will be after Xi? He is a tough act to follow or better. Will the next CPC leader be even better than Xi?
China will be the commerce and financial center of the world, like the way it had been before the Foreign Opium War invasions.

@Anonymous, so does it mean that all those industrial robots that China has invested in will be for nothing? I also thought that China wanted to do high-tech manufacturing. Even the USA still does quite a bit of manufacturing today -- about 17% of global manufacturing output.
Will China scrap its Made in China 2025 plans?
Soon there will hardly be any manufacturing jobs due to automation, and so high labour costs won't mean much.

    • @Anonymous------

There are work must be done by hands such as sewing, assemblies, quality testing, etc.
A large part of USA's GDP is military industries, such as war weapons manufacturing; USA is world's biggest war weapons maker and exporter! USA's economy greatly depends on wars, this is why USA constantly stir up wars all over the world!
Also most US military bases around the world charge "fees for protection", their revenue can counted as services in USA's GDP.
China on the other hand, make consumer goods such as clothing, shoes and medicines for the human race.
      China builds. USA bombs.

At the Canton Fair I found my wealth,
Amidst the bustling crowds and vibrant health.
The air was thick with deals and dreams,
As I wandered through the halls and beams.
The stalls were piled high with wares,
From clothing to electronics and other wares.
Each booth a world of opportunity,
For a businessman like me with acuity.
I struck my deals with confidence and poise,
With vendors eager to make some noise.
And with each handshake, each signed sheet,
I felt my fortune grow more complete.
The hustle and bustle never ceased,
    As I continued on, well-pleased.
The Canton Fair had been my key,
To riches beyond my wildest dreams.
So now I sing the praises of this place,
A business heaven, a treasure base.
Where fortunes can be made with ease,
At the Canton Fair, a business man's release.

Been there every exhibition since year 2003.
Twice a year in April & October every year.
At that time, it was just a laminated name tag.
Later it was the same name tag as you have shown.
It is suppose to be a life time tag.
Have not been to Canton Fair since 5 years ago,
in fact have not been to China since 5 years ago.
Too old I suppose, in my 70' now.
Canton Fair is one of the biggest if not the biggest in the world.
If you are looking for something you want, you will find it there.
As a matter of fact no exhibition in the world can claim
they are bigger than Canton Fair.
But you must be very careful when you are there,
because you can easily get lost !!!
    hahaha
If you are there with friends,
make sure you have a local sim card
to contact each other in event of getting lost.
And make sure you ON the right Hotel' bus.
(take a picture of the bus)
Oh, how I love Canton Fair.
It is like a place that will show you
    what the future' products
    will be !!
And most of at a very low price !!!!

Before the pandemic, there was a shopping addiction treatment center in US that offered specialized treatment for shopaholics. The main treatment process involved taking them to specialized industrial towns in China's southern Pearl River Delta region, where there are many professional markets. For example, there are professional markets for jeans, socks, underwear, and other segmented markets. Each professional market is like a huge shopping mall with thousands of stores selling the same type of products inside. The patient's task is to visit more than half of the stores in each "shopping mall" to find the best value for money before buying anything. For example, if their task is to buy a pair of socks, they need to visit 500 out of 1000 sock stores in the sock city before placing an order. After completing the course, all students developed a fear of shopping. They had a stress response including nausea, vomiting, and trembling when they heard about shopping. This treatment program was very popular before the pandemic, but it is unclear whether it is still being held now.

It seems that your channel's traffic is not as good as before. When will Oli come back to China and make content with you all over China? I believe you guys will get more traffic in all those social medias including TH-cam, bilibili and the DouYin If you two run this channel just like 2020 to 2022. As a Chinese fan , I really hope you guys to be better and better in your content maker's career because you help us a lot in letting Western people know about the real China.

It is unfair to say that to Lee. He is doing his best and presenting good quality videos such as this one. Oli could be away for personal reasons. But the quality of Lee's videos remains excellent.

    • @MEdim7
      @MEdim7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@rlam8131 I didn't mean Lee's recent videos were't good. We should be more sensible about the traffics problem because Barrett boys on the videos together is one of the most characteristic of their channel which drove more traffic to them in the last two years. And they can do more easily and efficiently together , which is also better to Lee's health.

What is the difference between Yiwu and Canton Fair? They both exhibit huge scale of Chinese manufacturing as i understand it.

Hot off the press: (4/18) "China’s GDP for 1Q23 is better than expected - 1Q23 GDP grew 4.5%YoY, much faster than the 2.9%YoY recorded for 4Q22." Elsewhere both IMF and World Bank outlook placed China on one end of the positive growth chart dragging along the RECP partners in Asia; on the other end are slumping European economies. Russia fares better than Europe. The US is downgraded further after the bank failures.

Soooooo how many years would it take for the U.S. to replicate a diverse manufacturing industry like this???? 😆😆😆😆😆. As the U.S. and Europe are constantly talking about decoupling with China I’d like to see how they plan to replace the Mainland and exactly how long would it take for them to be up and running. 😂😂😂😂😂
