Yes I know I contribute to global warming by flying and traveling everywhere. In this video I showed information about what global warming is. I'm not a climate activist.
I'm glad you finally got to the correct falls. Luang Prabang is a beautiful town and a wonderful travel destination. The people in this predominantly Buddhist country are peaceful, honest, and respectful, and the food is great. Just don't go during the burning season!
Been following you for a few years now and I would say this is one of the most beautiful spots you have been to. The falls are spectacular. People seem humble and very hospitable. 👍
The waterfalls are beautiful! They almost look fake... This has got to be one of the most colorful/beautiful places that you have ever ventured to. Thank you for sharing.
This weekend coming is Lao New Year in Luangphabang! You will get wet and enjoy with water blessing. You should learn more about the culture over there. it's very unique. Happy Lao's New Year. Have a good time.
The cicadas are a superfamily, the Cicadoidea, of insects in the order Hemiptera. They are in the suborder Auchenorrhyncha, along with smaller jumping bugs such as leafhoppers and froghoppers and live anywhere from 40 to 55 years 😮 jk 7 to 10 years lol
I believe the village you stopped in was the Hmong village (not monk) they’re hill tribe people from china who occupied mostly northern se Asia. Good vlog I like your quirky style 😅 thanks
Hey William you are my favourite one and only I love watching on TH-cam 🫶🏼 thanks for this wonderful video. I was in Thailand last year and went close to boarder of Laos. Saw the casino from across the river. You are a brave soul to have endured the agricultural smoke in Laos. Experienced it in Chiangmai, awful. Wish these countries would stop it, def not good for health, their governments need to help farmers. Anyways love your videos, such great quality of filming, you have the skills to be a movie producer & director for sure 👌🏽 ❤
Right on, William. Thank you for taking the time to respond to doubters. You showed us your easy-to-understand description of the greenhouse effect brought about by an excess of certain gases in our atmosphere.
Grieg and the waterfall match very well... You always put some intelligence or deep thoughts in your videos, that's why I like to watch. This is what I miss in the world today! Keep up! cheers from Hungary
Another epic video my brother!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us all. You inspire me to make better content. God Bless you and your family bro. Cheers from 2 Canadians living in Mexico! J&D ✌🏽✌🏽💖💖 PS funny no signs saying no swimming lol. I had good laugh when you 2 were the only ones in the water with all those onlookers hahaha
Great video William.....Such beautiful waterfalls ever...Smile more ...maybe a travel friend/local would make you laugh and be funny more....Blessings...
Ja ja ja William! That taxi reminded me of the so many rutas we've both taken over time in Mexico. No denying thought how inexpensive they are and they go everywhere if one knows where to pick them up. You mentioned swimming in waterfalls as one of your favorite things other than snorkeling, Ok, agree, same here with a bit of scuba when then conditions are right. Shoot I lettered in swimming and water polo so yes, love the water. Yet, IMOO, your best beach days as well as snorkeling days were with Maria. If there is a way I'd like to see each of you reunite as you two are very special, juntos! Espanol for together. Not judging, only a simple observation on my part. As always Amigo, suerte y salud!
This video is my favorite of yours so far (and I've been watching for a few years now) because we really got a chance to see the life and the culture of the people, as well as well as the beautiful scenery. It was extremely interesting, informative as well as lovely. Thank you William. ❤
Swimming & nice waterfalls are some of my most favorite things in the world, too. Great to experience this vicariously through you. Even glad to see you swim where you weren't supposed to. 😄 I would have been frolicking through those waterfalls, too, in the forbidden zone. 😄
Beautiful, was in Indonesia, Thailand, and Philipines last year. Did you know Globally the Atmosphere has 2.5ppm of Carbon Dioxide?? Under 2% Greenery and trees die. It the lowest in 10,000 years according to experts with no spin.
What a trippy waterfall! Thanks for reminding everyone of the reality and urgency of global warming threat, it's the biggest issue of our time...sadly. Thanks for bringing us along your journey of discoveries , good or bad, in Laos ❤
you hit 100k subscribers congratulations you hit your goal I remember in your early episodes you kept saying you wanna hit 100k and what a journey ,glad you got over that nasty sickness that Mexico has ,I got sick there to and didn't heal until I left . happy to see you making videos again
Beautiful water Falls. I don't think that I would like the smoke and the heat. I love all the flowers. The rice paddies, sooo green. The chicken looked tasty as well. Thanks for taking me along William. As always awesome content. See you next time!
I always like you drone and flower footage. Probably too late now, but stop by a Hmong village on the way there. It will make you appreciate Sweden standards of living.
I like the rusticness of Laos over the skyscrapers of Thailand. Going down to the waterfall looks a little too challenging for me (old and out of shape) but it sure was beautiful. I like seeing you on an organized tour. The monk village was interesting.
Nice to see these less travelled parts of Asia, some of the issues there, and the natural beauty of the area. The people seem genuinely very nice and polite there. Unspoilt like the country they live in. Spiritual development is important in that part of the world. It shows I think. Looking forward to your next one. Stay healthy and safe. ps. Nice explanation of greenhouse gas effects. It's real!
At 15:10 you visited a "Hmong" village, not "monk," William. The Hmong are a hill-tribe that originated in China many years ago, and now live in Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand, as well as in the US, Canada, France, Australia, and other countries. By and large, the Hmong traditionally are not Buddhist, but rather animist, that is, believing in many spirits that exist in many inanimate objects such as trees. The musical instrument is called a "keng" which in the Hmong language is spelled "qeeb." In my estimation, it's the most easily recognized symbol of Hmong culture.
It's what we called them back home on Okinawa 😻as a child we played with them it's the sound that they make 🥰Gi gi 🤭 gi gi there will be a record of them here in US 💕
One of the best waterfalls in se asia for sure! One correction: you visited a "hmong" village, not a "monk" village mate 😁 hmong people are an ethnic group living in the mountain areas of laos, thailand, vietnam, myanmar & china
Hey William good pieces on Laos also a lesson for travellers on the importance of research before travel. This is the dry season in SE Asia, when much vegetation dries out and dies. This is also the case where I have retired to in Koh Samui Thailand. The burning is very noxious but it is also most often controlled burning to prevent out of control burning of dead vegetation at the end of our dry season. It is this dry season that also minimizes the water in the falls you have been visiting.
Your video looks great on my big TV. Nice B-roll. I had a feeling you weren’t suppose to swim there. lol. Probably why you attracted so much attention. Thanks for another entertaining and informative video William. You must be shooting in 4K.
You can't swim in the first pool below the fall only, You could swim in any of the pools below that. It is not Monk, but Hmong a minority group in Laos who did most of the fighting in Laos during the Vietnam war.
Man, I love that low key vibe and authenticity of rich cultural in small town like that. Those areas just need few inflow of cash from investors to bring it up to moderate standards but not to much as if it will destroy that cultural richness and nature scenery
Wow was there nothing to worry about in the waters like crocodiles or anything? I don't know what the have in Laos but I wasn't about to swim in fresh water in Thailand :)
Over the last several years, SE Asia has been enduring one of the worst droughts in decades. The damage to trees you have been noting has not been caused by smoke, but is rather a result of prolonged hot and dry conditions. When it is dry like that, natural areas are prone to burning from wildfires. The burnt areas you showed at about 2:00 looks like wildfire damage to me.
Yes I know I contribute to global warming by flying and traveling everywhere. In this video I showed information about what global warming is. I'm not a climate activist.
Hiii William 😊
I would love to do what you are doing William. I miss traveling COVID did a real number for my life.
Keep vlogging. Try going live some time .

That!!
Wow… that waterfall is a paradise.
The aesthetic is simply stunning.
Anothe tip, take a ferry across the river and walk north along the river. You can get a feel for local life there and not many tourists.
Been following you for a few years now and I would say this is one of the most beautiful spots you have been to. The falls are spectacular. People seem humble and very hospitable. 👍
in some of my older videos I was in the philippines. Saw some nicer waterfalls there
Wow, that waterfall was breathtaking! That is gorgeous! 😍
The waterfalls are beautiful! They almost look fake... This has got to be one of the most colorful/beautiful places that you have ever ventured to. Thank you for sharing.
I started to walk to the top, but too wet and slippery so I turned back
I saw some better waterfalls in philippines a while back actually! But before I made good videos
@@williamtaudien Any recommendations? Cheers
Be careful with swimming in freshwater areas like that. wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/traveler/none/laos

Hey William the noise is from Cicadas. They can be as loud as a chainsaw!
Oh wow crazy!
@@RamenGirlASMRwow, they live a really long time for an insect! I like the noise of them.
Real nice video William. Keep them coming.
Thank you
