3:23 A lot of people will not realize how nutty this improvement actually is. You were already a very high jumper relative to the average athlete but now you're crazy.
5:20 Note; this has changed recently. Now it's only biweekly, tuesday morning and tuesday night. But the calls go until all questions are answered. Supposedly, I haven't actually joined any calls since the change.
Just started my jump training after watching you and Isaiah. Unfortunately my shins aren't too happy with it so I'm working that out but thank you for the motivation to improve. Side note, some of these clips look familiar, are you from Toronto?
I’m 13 and im in a strength phase rn. I can half squat 300 and power clean 155, should i stay in the strength phase or switch to a power or plyo phase? Thanks riq i really look up to you!
Hey man I saw he didn’t respond so I will. I watched a video from the guys at THP that said you should train in cycles, such as a 4 month strength cycle, a 4 month volume cycle where you train with more reps and less weight/resistance and also train plyos, and then a four month cycle where you train light but with full intent and try your hardest while continuing light plyos. The idea is that you build strength in the first cycle, build power and maintain strength in the second cycle, and recover and maintain your strength and power in the third cycle. Your vertical should peak near the end of the third cycle
I have been trying to learn how to start vertical jump training but I have been watching Isaiah Rivera and it becomes so complicated with all these cycles and everything and I don’t really want to pay for their program just yet I want to start and figure out what my path will look like could you give me some tips to start?
Bro during those 3-4 months of knee rehab did u play any basketball at all. Or were you just super strict to doing what they told you to do and nothing much outside of that?
Bro the group calls were always flooded especially mondays😅😅😅. And some people just wanna yap and it takes so long especially the dad guy that has a son in the group
I'm 25 years old and I'm training in strength and I want to increase my jump. I have an adjustable rim, what do you think about jumping on a low rim every day and jumping on a high rim 1 day a week?
@@christianb164 oh haha. I hated the quasi iso thing the most. Hella hard. I like when its just easy light upper body and lower body circuit on general days lol
@@christianb164 If you check the FAQ section in the Skool community Isaiah says you can do your own upper body on them days however they are there for a reason so if you want the best results it's best to stick to the plan!
As a THP Athlete, this is nothing but facts.
I would add that it’s only for the committed. The real secret sauce is actually putting in the work!
Yes exactly
Yep. Nothing magical about just good training, it's just hard work + discipline + good training that makes the difference.
how many times do you have to go to the gym per weeks out of season or in season?
@@hatsukei-mtl i would assume 2 leg days, since training every muscle group twice a week is ideal

I appreciate that!!!
I joined THP 3-4 months ago and I can agree with absolutely everything you said!
How much is THP?😭

Yeah I’m in THP too bro and it’s been 6 months and I must say I am amazed tbh
My favorite thing about THP is Philip
Very nice and informative review 👍
Also 7:35 😂 Riq as THP coach would be amazing haha
👀
Thanks this was exactly what I was looking for today.
I'm on THP right now and being able to talk to John Isaiah and you riq would be crazy! Would love to see you join THP!!!
thank you for your review!

Oh wow that's a big difference
*subject to change it is all experimental but yes this is what it is currently*
36.5 standing vertical is ridiculous
If you are strength dominant its not that much.
hope u become a coach with THP you fit right in with them especially with how you show its not about height with dunkig
Yessir!
Imagine the only weakness of a program is the fact that too many athletes are on it that coaches can't catch a breather 😂

Yes I am from Toronto haha. Keep it up bro! I promise the training is worth it
What type of knee pain did you have? And what part of the knee exactly? Would your knee swell up? Tightness?

Get yo bread up and buy the program

I was strict. I didn't play basketball or jump at all during those 3-4 months and it was worth it
If I get added to a group chat with Riq I will literally bust

What’s the pricing on THP?
99 a month
Or 80 a month if you pay in 6 month periods
they could have discounts for other countries, in brazil paying 99 us dollars a month is half the minimum wage
just a suggestion maybe they see it
U can always watch the free stuff and make your own 😅😅😅
Unfortunately it wouldn't make sense for them so the best thing is to make use of the thousands of hours of free content!
@@NathanG24 exactly lol. U can progress quite far from just applying the methods as well

Realistically speaking. I don't think so. But I def think 45 inches is achievable for me
