- On 24th January 1996, the Writers Guild of America reunited an Olympic Dream Team of comedy writers at the Writer's Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, California for a television special. Formerly of 'Caesar's Hour' (1954), they were: Mel Tolkin, Carl Reiner, Aaron Ruben, Larry Gelbart, Mel Brooks, Neil Simon, Danny Simon, Sheldon Keller and Gary Belkin.
If you enjoy comedy, writing or even great creativity, this is a masterclass like no other!

The "I saw the same show for 28000 at kmart" joke had me in tears. Such comedy geniuses. I really wished this gathering would last forever!
I didn't stop laughing for the entire show. It was awesome to listen to this amalgam of talent.
This must be the greatest gathering of comedy minds ever assembled, a once in a lifetime occasion, impossible not to laugh at what they say.
Where's Woody?

That "magic trick" destroys me, every time... 🤣🤣🤣
Same here -- it absolutely had me tears!!!
Geniuses all.
I was in the audience for this panel. Every minute was thrilling.
WOW!!!
You can see they loved Sid!!!!
This is priceless
I had to put this on pause a few times to keep from spitting my juice or peeing my pants from laughing so hard. When Carl Reiner said "I'm in disguise now" I absolutely DIED!! Sometimes funny is eternal.
What unmitigated JOY!!!
Thanks for uploading this. Top comedic genius. No doubt about it.💎🎆💎
Utterly timeless

Such Genius!!
Wow! Just … wow!
I almost died laughing.
So my 92 year old Grandmother tells me there is a Sid Caesar's Writers show on PBS. I remembered watching it with her. I texted her a link. Lets see if she can watch it.
Missing Woody Allen, who joined as a junior writer when he was like 18 or 19.
He's on the black and white photograph , and not mentioned ,
strange...
What a blast! The funniest people who ever lived...minus Howie Morris (in the audience) and Dave, Sid's brother. (Red Buttons: "Never got an Emmy!)
Has edited out the part about Sid Ceasar punishing Mel Brooks for being late.
This Is Gang Writing And I like it
New York Jewish humor. The BEST!
I know the Holy Spirit came to earth as a joke, born in a lowly hospital in Brooklyn. We've never taken life seriously since. BH
Of course they can't shut Mel up. 🙂

Don’t forget Woody Allen! But I guess he wasn’t there…?
