Meovv are clearly talented and have very high potential, although they might seem "awkward" and "unfitting" there's still more to see from them and people shouldn't be quick to judge.
I kinda agree with this. Feel like teddy tryna make them being 5 jennie. Its great cuz ITS JENNIE yall but i hope they'll show more of their trueself rather than being in someone's shadow. Babymonster batter up also feels a little bit off but them seven have their own individuality, its not like we're seeing the same 7 people.
I kinda agree to this, Jennie seems to have became the new overall standard of what a Girl Kpop idol should be otherwise they won’t sell big, the problem with that is they’ll be a shadow of someone, that’s a nasty place to be at.
Yes i agree but i think babymonster is doing very well and they have lots of songs that do not sound like blackpink like sitm, like that, forever. They are also VERY talented
And also theblacklabel hides the number of likes why ??? Whyy ??? Is it necessary?? nowadays companies use ads for their groups so to know which song is successful or just ad views the number of likes are important but they are hiding it for no reason 🙄
This is what im thinking about. Now likes are more important than view cuz i think likes can define wether the public loves the song or not. If you have 10m views with 400k + like, the public may be liking the song and mv, or you just have big fandom. But if you have 10m views with 150k likes, i think the public just..dont really into it. But...tbl hide the likes. Like whyy??
The biggest takeaway for me was that this was Teddy chance to make a group that was totally 180 from what he has done with Blackpink and 2NE1. Different concepts and different sounds. He tried but couldn’t do so.
@@jeon_jk19973 Well I don't think they were lip syncing or smth when I listened to one of their performances I could hear they're voices maybe ya should better hear it (Sorry for the english it isn't my first language)😭
no hate to individual members but Kpop has become a satire of itself these days. "creatively bankrupt" is the definition of the black label at this point. In order for Kpop to keep it's global dominance companies have to do better, cause I see people quickly becoming disinterested (except like BlackPink and BTS whatever you think of them personally)
Teddy is known for giving the swag concept. I dont understand why people are hating on the group. YG has been known for SWAG since long and serving right. While for other groups such as JYP is known for cute and girly concept. Each company have their own term and way to represent.
I actually feel this way about baby monster I think they're very talented and while they can sing live. I feel like they have this baby/young face that just doesn't go well with their concept And their confidence doesn't feel authentic
The kpop industry needs to change atp, debuting young teens is so normalised i just wish they debut actual adults who are capable of writing songs, composing music or just involvement in music in general. These kids are just pretty faces doing what the company says a-z without knowing a thing or two about music
Yes, but there also bigger problem.. people who can’t stop being serious for awhile and enjoy life. It’s just a song, even I, that doesn’t have wons and yens and dollars but hyped with it 😂
Narin, Gawon and Sooin are already there, their debut felt more like a comeback, Ella is gorgeous and her voice color is so unique and since she’s literally a child is definitely exciting to see her upcoming growth, Anna beauty literally leaves you speechless and she’s not that far behind dance wise and voice wise from the rest of the group so overall this is a very interesting and exciting group debut.
I didn’t really like the song initially but I love it now and think the choreography is amazing too and no longer think it was a poor debut, you just have to give the song a chance. They’re so talented so I’m excited for what the future holds 🐈⬛
Regardless of the looks, the music needs to be good to begin with. Having beautiful faces is a boost but secondary to the talents and the music itself. Afterall, they're singers not models. On contary, Blackpink's debut songs were so good that people loved it right away even without the visual of the members.
Too much unnecessary criticisms I feel. I was an Ella fan to begin with, but I already love watching all of them ! They’re cute and pretty to look at, the song is catchy, the dance lets all of them shine. Why judge them in the first week already ?
Yah I don’t understand that, how’s their outfit different from other kpop group in their music videos ? How’s the scene switching different from other kpop music videos ? Feels like criticising for the sake of criticising. but I guess getting hate comments means getting attention at least ?
I have been a fan of Ella for years and I was so excited to see her debut but the song disappointed me so much. I hope the next comeback is better. Because then it would be sad that Ella had to archive all her instagram posts and pause her modeling career just to be in a group like that. They have potential but the concept and song is the problem.
I don't know what the heck you're talking about. I absolutely loved everything about their debut. All the girls delivered. the, charisma, sass attitude and overall talent in vocals and dance was top notch in my opinion. The video focused more on letting the girls shine than on flashy sets. Now I'm obsessed and I want to see what more they come up with. Great work from the girls and @theblacklabel. ❤❤❤❤❤ Ps, Narin is that Girl 🔥🔥
Honestly I like the song, some people don't, well it doesn't really think that matters as long as I vibe with it. I don't really care about groups concept, it don't really think its necessary to have a unique one, well if they have...then its great. And also they literally just debuted. it's blacklabels first group, and yet people suddenly became a psychic, assuming their future projects... Yall need to relax
Im so happy that all of them are older than me. It felt so weird seeing idols who are younger than me debuting!! The Black Label did right with this group!!
Clearly they are performance focus and they killed it. They're aura is very powerful just like the song and choreography that's why I think that the song and the girls speaks with each other. The song is them the performance is them and they owned it!
I mean it's a self title song, for me is more a pre-release song, lika an introduction to them, than an actual full debut. Also in my opinion, the song isn't even that bad, surely they talk about stuff that they didn't even experience yet, but the music industry is full of lyrics like that, so that didn't bother me too much.
You can tell that they’re really talented, and could easily do so much better if only Theblacklabel gave them a chance…also MEOVV’s debut song is a bop, but still somehow feels empty & short. I love Gawon sooo much! The moment I saw her on screen & heard her voice, I fell in love with her.
I think this is one of the reasons why YG doesn't have more than one active girl group. Because YG tends to focus on cool, not changing their identity or trying new styles. In fact, if they debuted with a bright, fun style, it might be very interesting.
I honestly wasn't expecting for Ella to be there. She was successful ever since she was a baby and her career as an actress was developing in America then she suddenly switched to the korean industry. I am happy for her, I hope we can see her shine again. She used to be a kid with a great personality and she often wore her platform for important matters. I love her.
I love the song, it stucked in my head from debut till now . and they have so much potential.. their charisma, stage presence, energy, unique vocals, dance, visuals are all on point! I love meovv! 🐈⬛🔥
THEBLACKLABEL is no longer a subsidary of YG, and hasn't been for years. YG sold their majority stake in TBL a few years back, unless something changed they still hold shares in TBL, but not enough to be Subsidary status.
they are an associate company of YG as YG Ent. still is one of the major shareholders, however they operate independently and do not answer to a mother company (Like YG Ent.) meaning they are NOT a sub-label.
The issue lies in the fact that these artists are essentially children who haven't even earned a single dollar yet, as they still owe money to the company. They sing about being wealthy and confident individuals with haters and fans, which comes across as inauthentic and disingenuous. They are still rookies who haven't established a fan base. The entire YG concept of portraying themselves as rich and badass feels outdated and tiresome at this point.
Thats why im soooooo happy YG didn't involve teddy in BABYMONSTER. Im a old ygstan... 1tym introduced me to kpop. I struggled to like his recent songs with blackpink and couldn't defend him after HYLT. Its so repetitive. I can distinguish YG sound from teddy. Its clear as day how YG works with BABYMONSTER and TREASURE who both haven't worked with teddy. Meove debute song is exactly teddy sound.
@13dg understand this sweetheart. Blackpink is with YG. Teddy makes their music since he is their main producer. He worked with them since trainee days. So he will still be working with YGE. There has not been any report teddy left. That's what some fans made up when teddy became "independent" that only came up because YG gave some shares to teddy so that he became CEO of TBL. Ever since teddy had TBL he wokdd with blackpink. Also ... YG owns 21% of THE BLACKLABLE 😅 it's still under YG umbrella. Is that news to you? It's common knowledge tho..... I truly hope you learned something today💁🏽♀️
The group has good visuals but what else? A lot of new groups are not that insanely talented but atleast they have catchy and nice to listen to songs But meovv didnt which meant they are already in trouble since debut, like baymonster But the difference is that babymonster were so insanely talented that so many people started tuning in just for their talent, and they even got a lot of recognition perdebut for their talent, sure baemon have insane visuals too but they had someting to offer other than that. where as it seems like teddy just flexed on the public for meovv members visuals and pre-existing fame in their introduction videos. And now in their performances on music shows they are not really impressing people the way babymonster did so now they lost the chance of proving themselves and somewhat changing the impression tgeir debut song left on people If after all these years of teddy being a famous producer who worked on pb and 2ne1, all he can provide is group of visuals with mediocre talent and a boring, empty debut song and mv, then maybe he shouldnt have debuted a group to begin with
The best part of the MV was when they were dancing with the yeti’s. It was weird and quirky, but still interesting and the girls were smiling. Even the outfits they wore in that scene seem to match their personalities more. They should’ve stayed with that vibe for the whole MV.

What is there to enjoy? The song sounded like every repeat and recycle Blackpink song. The lyrics of the song are horribly awkward. The rap lyrics make no sense. The dancing is low-level. And, that annoying meow meow meow meow yah yah yah yah BS throughout the entire whole songs make it worse.
@@KpopSTAN_R_DeLuSi0naL and who cares the girls get paid to perform. The fans are happy the girls are happy. The obnoxious kpop haters(aka you) aren’t who cares
I think one thing that made this song "flat" is that their voices just blended so much to the point that you can't distinguish the girls from each other. And maybe also the structure of the song where there weren't that many memorable parts. I'm looking forward to their next projects!
These kinds of channel can't effectively trash Blackpink anymore because they're too huge for it to look like anything but the hatin' ass Haterade it truly is. They can barely get away with throwing that noise at Babymonster without looking just about as dumb and they haven't even been out a year (although notice this channel did try to slide some of that salt in this video, too lol).
positive points: catchy beat catchy choreo member’s visuals Narin and Gawon are great - although idk why they’re glaring all the time negative points: their group name and debut song title is cringy asf the image they’re trying to portray is not so appropriate to their age Ella looks prettier when she was younger now she’s just an average mixed-blood girl
Fortunately, BabyMonster fans don't care about this nonsense. They know what they want, they listen to and watch what they like, and millions of views on YT, Spotify and others are proof of that. Which also proves that you either don't know what you're talking about or you're doing it for the applause of a bunch of haters like you. I don't know what's worse 😕
I dont think the problem is the old formula. Its just that the song doesnt have a memorable melody, no catchy parts, no reason to listen to it again. The only "catchy" parts sound bland, just my taste but the yayayayaya and the meow doesnt sound good. Babymonsters first songs had the old concept/formula but it was catchy. Both songs had melodies i remember, the pre chorus had a strong sound. Meow just sounds like a bland b-side. YG Style isnt the problem here. They can use the concept but they need to do it better. I kinda hope they will have a great comeback soon.
It’s just one song for debut, why you guys judge so early? Can you wait for another songs and comeback before making nonsense comments and videos towards 16 yo girls.
What's wrong with ppls. Meovv talents is no joke. Though I didn't like their dong at first, the more I listen to it the more it grew on me. Stop wasting your energy hating.
Not all of us are "hating" Meovv. It's just our opinion and our taste of music. They for sure have talents but their debut wasn't capturing our eyes and ears but hopefully the next comeback is good. Some kpop groups don't have good debuts and that's okay they can improve each comeback.
Why is everyone saying they rather visuals than talent like they are saying that they aren’t talented uhm there voice is amazing and just wow but you guys are saying they arent
so much nitpicking. The track has a fun energy and the choreography is really cool. Plus the girls are obviously talented, at least dance and performance wise.
i don't think their has ever been a girl group consisting of this much stunningly beautiful idols, like all of them are stunning, without any imperfections, it feels like their debut is an ad aimed at the fashion industry as in "hey look at our girls, they are worth all your money to sign them as ambassadors.
Meow is such a grower, I disliked it at first listen but now I am obsessed, def one of the best debut. It's just that it's more "rap & dance" based and not vocal kinda song. I personally am so addicted to it , can't stop playing it❤
Bailey Sok should have been in this group. I guess that to become a kpop idol in 2024, you have to be able to do a little bit of singing or dancing, but what’s more important is influence and/or looks. All the members of MEOVV seem to have potential, but there’s no member that really stands out in terms of talent…

@@SBBunny93 Uh huh. This is like complaining that Tupac sounded too much like Dr. Dre and Ice Cube because he was doing west coast gangsta rap.
Dumbest argument in the entire world and a chunk of k-pop stans think it's the most cutting, insightful shit anyone has ever said.
They also KEEP SAYING IT no matter how many time YG releases are objectively successful on every metric except stan Twitter and the ~vibes~ of preteen Koreans.
Meovv are clearly talented and have very high potential, although they might seem "awkward" and "unfitting" there's still more to see from them and people shouldn't be quick to judge.
It felt like seeing a group of Jennie 😶. No individuality . The song was worse . It felt messy and the lyrics din make any sense.
Why tf are you bringing Jennie here .......
They are also VERY talented
what weird things to praise them for "you look like all these other idols and you come from a wealthy family, well done"😂😂
Ngl this group are like newjeans aesthetically but girl crush version
Don't drag Baemon into this.
they were mentioned once wtf are you smoking
I love their debut. Idk what everyone else is smoking lol
The group just debuted and is already getting unnecessary hate. Like at least wait until their project comes out.
but the thing is that they have perform in inkigayo for 4 times but still they are only lip syncing
I feel like we just need to give meovv some more time, they have a lot of talent
Teddy is known for giving the swag concept. I dont understand why people are hating on the group. YG has been known for SWAG since long and serving right. While for other groups such as JYP is known for cute and girly concept. Each company have their own term and way to represent.
Just give them time
They will grow. I just know it❤
I actually feel this way about baby monster I think they're very talented and while they can sing live. I feel like they have this baby/young face that just doesn't go well with their concept And their confidence doesn't feel authentic
No problem at all, because the song, visual and concept are very catchy
The kpop industry needs to change atp, debuting young teens is so normalised i just wish they debut actual adults who are capable of writing songs, composing music or just involvement in music in general. These kids are just pretty faces doing what the company says a-z without knowing a thing or two about music
I really love the song . Its living in my head❤
Yeah 1st hearing didn't really caught my attention but as I was sleeping, the song keeps on looping in my head as if I'm on drug wanting more.
Yah yah yah yah yah yah yah yah yah yah yah.... 😂
Me too.. at first I didn't like it but as time passes and after listening to it more often it got stucked in my head 🔥
Comma comma comma
Meovv deserves better
I am obsessed with this song. Girls are gorgeous. I know there is going to be more from them.
visual isn't the main thing required to be an idol its required to be an model for being an idol they should sing live and perform energetically
Yes, but there also bigger problem.. people who can’t stop being serious for awhile and enjoy life. It’s just a song, even I, that doesn’t have wons and yens and dollars but hyped with it 😂
I actually didn't like Meovv's debut at fort but it really grew on me and now it's such a vibe.
But the song is really good to me , mark my words they will become successful the coming years
Narin, Gawon and Sooin are already there, their debut felt more like a comeback, Ella is gorgeous and her voice color is so unique and since she’s literally a child is definitely exciting to see her upcoming growth, Anna beauty literally leaves you speechless and she’s not that far behind dance wise and voice wise from the rest of the group so overall this is a very interesting and exciting group debut.
she sounds exactly like somi there's nothing unique about her voice
Anna is so beautiful so perfect that feels empty, in my opinion
I didn’t really like the song initially but I love it now and think the choreography is amazing too and no longer think it was a poor debut, you just have to give the song a chance. They’re so talented so I’m excited for what the future holds 🐈⬛
thought the song was cool and catchy also the dance is very fun. they’re great artists and i’m excited for what’s next
the song was not that bad but could have been better if it was more long and finished with a bridge.
Regardless of the looks, the music needs to be good to begin with. Having beautiful faces is a boost but secondary to the talents and the music itself. Afterall, they're singers not models. On contary, Blackpink's debut songs were so good that people loved it right away even without the visual of the members.
I don’t understand Stans who only love visuals and rich, nepo artists.
Too much unnecessary criticisms I feel.
I was an Ella fan to begin with, but I already love watching all of them ! They’re cute and pretty to look at, the song is catchy, the dance lets all of them shine.
Why judge them in the first week already ?
Accept critics and move on
@@beckdaniella1205Nice little troll
Ps, Narin is that Girl 🔥🔥
Omg, we have similar thoughts, Gawon is also my favorite
@@1Uni7 ❤️❤️ yesss she has that star aura!!
Guys, it's just the first song, it won't be all flowers
It's funny people hyped up Annie being in the group but she confirmed she wouldn't be in it the second that the rumors happened lmfao
YG sold their majority stake in TBL a few years back, unless something changed they still hold shares in TBL, but not enough to be Subsidary status.
hahaha I've been telling people this....MEOVV's problems aint YG's problems.
they are an associate company of YG as YG Ent. still is one of the major shareholders, however they operate independently and do not answer to a mother company (Like YG Ent.) meaning they are NOT a sub-label.
I am also shocked the group name is so something that won’t age well for when they’re in their 30s.
i mean backstreetboys and new kids on the block still going even though they in their 50s
Worry about bby monster lol
Meovv is a cool name
Thats why im soooooo happy YG didn't involve teddy in BABYMONSTER. Im a old ygstan... 1tym introduced me to kpop.
I struggled to like his recent songs with blackpink and couldn't defend him after HYLT. Its so repetitive. I can distinguish YG sound from teddy. Its clear as day how YG works with BABYMONSTER and TREASURE who both haven't worked with teddy. Meove debute song is exactly teddy sound.
Teddy is no longer with YG so that is noral that Baemon is not with him.
Meow is TBL and TBL has become an independent label a long time ago.
It's just their debute. They can still adjust and fix some issues.
The group has good visuals but what else?
A lot of new groups are not that insanely talented but atleast they have catchy and nice to listen to songs
But meovv didnt which meant they are already in trouble since debut, like baymonster
But the difference is that babymonster were so insanely talented that so many people started tuning in just for their talent, and they even got a lot of recognition perdebut for their talent, sure baemon have insane visuals too but they had someting to offer other than that. where as it seems like teddy just flexed on the public for meovv members visuals and pre-existing fame in their introduction videos. And now in their performances on music shows they are not really impressing people the way babymonster did so now they lost the chance of proving themselves and somewhat changing the impression tgeir debut song left on people
If after all these years of teddy being a famous producer who worked on pb and 2ne1, all he can provide is group of visuals with mediocre talent and a boring, empty debut song and mv, then maybe he shouldnt have debuted a group to begin with
You're so true 😭
Can anyone help me figure out what she says when she describes Ive at around 4:40? “A table girl crush to the table????”
She says "Chaebol girl crush" you can google the meaning of Chaebol
The best part of the MV was when they were dancing with the yeti’s. It was weird and quirky, but still interesting and the girls were smiling. Even the outfits they wore in that scene seem to match their personalities more. They should’ve stayed with that vibe for the whole MV.
The problem is that Kpop is over saturated with cookie cutter girl groups with the same sounds, same look, same vibes, same girl crush cutesy bubblegum concept. Nothing new: Thank you, next!
Youre not listening to the right kpop obviously
@@Maqqiatoagree with you I was so fed up with hip hop era in kpop,2007-2017.And now when we can enjoy really good vocalists or just catchy songs, people be like "They just don't like hip hop style"
why are these people replying to my comment as if they know me? lol I know what I'm listening to, and THEY ARE THE SAME RECYCLED SOUNDS AND CONCEPT.S, AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN

And people say that "Meovv will be better than babymonster". Not this one.
You expect an amazing song from MEOVV just because they're under BLACK LABEL, that you forgot how SOMI songs sounds. She's under the same label, you shouldn't expect interesting track eventho' it has TEDDY PARK in it. Funny how KPOP fans always associate everything into one person, while the people behind the scene is more than just one. People also need to understand that even BLACKPINK latest songs ain't better than their previous songs eventho it produced by the same guys. Move on, guys, world's changing~
Well i guess teddy has it own fandom cuz many kpopers be worshipping him.
I’m surprised people had a problem with this song because I love thie song when I first listen to it
I personally liked their debut. I feel like people be having unrealistic expectations or secretly hope a group doesn't do well. Other than that, it is sad that Bailey Sok didn't debut with them
Even though i've waited so many years for new girl group from the blacklabel it was actually pretty disappointing.
I LOVE THIS DEBUT -
Why are you dragging babymonster here then? Just to remind you blacklabel was not part of YG anymore
Exactly what I was thinking
I love that everyone is a music critic 😂😂😂😂 why can’t ppl enjoy the music and talent of the members.
@MiloPulse Teddy can produce and write as long as he wants, but the downfall is that he has no new and creative ideas for any K-pop groups.

Every song is the same maybe with little variation
I think one thing that made this song "flat" is that their voices just blended so much to the point that you can't distinguish the girls from each other. And maybe also the structure of the song where there weren't that many memorable parts. I'm looking forward to their next projects!
Their debut is PERFECT!!! Y'all need to stop using them to get views and earn!!! Meovv's song is addictive and we are satisfied
Literally sooo good wtf lol
These kinds of channel can't effectively trash Blackpink anymore because they're too huge for it to look like anything but the hatin' ass Haterade it truly is.
They can barely get away with throwing that noise at Babymonster without looking just about as dumb and they haven't even been out a year (although notice this channel did try to slide some of that salt in this video, too lol).
it wasn’t tho 💀
Its good but it is always money this money that type of concept. Its not really good to do that as your debut song when they havent made a dent no?
sorry but no
with the amount of debuts this year, this grous did absolutely fine
All members look like Jennie. Teddy Park still obsessed with Jennie.
positive points:
catchy beat
catchy choreo
member’s visuals
Narin and Gawon are great - although idk why they’re glaring all the time
negative points:
their group name and debut song title is cringy asf
the image they’re trying to portray is not so appropriate to their age
Ella looks prettier when she was younger now she’s just an average mixed-blood girl
Only I disagree with the last point
Fortunately, BabyMonster fans don't care about this nonsense. They know what they want, they listen to and watch what they like, and millions of views on YT, Spotify and others are proof of that. Which also proves that you either don't know what you're talking about or you're doing it for the applause of a bunch of haters like you. I don't know what's worse 😕
Nah..they're 10/10!
@@BMV656 learn the difference between criticism and hate.
So all critics are haters? 🙄 i cant
Nobody is hating. We see the potential in them, it's just that their debut lacked in showing their talents.
Not all of us are "hating" Meovv. It's just our opinion and our taste of music. They for sure have talents but their debut wasn't capturing our eyes and ears but hopefully the next comeback is good. Some kpop groups don't have good debuts and that's okay they can improve each comeback.
YG using their talents to be models of luxury brands. 😅
Why is everyone saying they rather visuals than talent like they are saying that they aren’t talented uhm there voice is amazing and just wow but you guys are saying they arent
They are idols, singing well is basically what they should do
so much nitpicking. The track has a fun energy and the choreography is really cool. Plus the girls are obviously talented, at least dance and performance wise.
Yah yah yah yah yah yah annoying S fudge.
Of course they are focusing on girls' visuals; there's little else to focus on. "Potential" does not mean anything until it is proven.
I liked everything about the meovv and in my opinion they will be very successful in the future
Girl? The song is a vibe! It’s great!
Unpopular opinion: I'm one of the few who enjoyed MEOVV's debut
Can't wait for what they release next 🐈⬛
For me, the music was okay. However, the members' personalities weren't that interesting to me, so they didn't grab my attention.
i don't think their has ever been a girl group consisting of this much stunningly beautiful idols, like all of them are stunning, without any imperfections, it feels like their debut is an ad aimed at the fashion industry as in "hey look at our girls, they are worth all your money to sign them as ambassadors.
Meow is such a grower, I disliked it at first listen but now I am obsessed, def one of the best debut. It's just that it's more "rap & dance" based and not vocal kinda song. I personally am so addicted to it , can't stop playing it❤
Yeah, I like the song, but I’m kind of worried about them, I don’t want them to get forgotten
Bailey Sok should have been in this group. I guess that to become a kpop idol in 2024, you have to be able to do a little bit of singing or dancing, but what’s more important is influence and/or looks. All the members of MEOVV seem to have potential, but there’s no member that really stands out in terms of talent…
ALREADY A PROBLEMMMM????
Yeah, this is kpop. New groups are usually shot down early.
