@@JinKeeI was thinking maybe have the fake liquid patch up the holes to still maintain the appearance of a broken mug without actually having open holes
Hey I hate to point this out but because of the trajectory of the projectile, the mug wouldn't have shards coming out in the opposite direction of where the bullet came from. When you break glass or ceramics the shards always follow the bullet, just food for thought. Looks awesome though!

Would look better if you used a clear wire for the effects portion because the metal sticking out of the front side looks off... but also making it into an actual functional coffee mug would be the best part of it all.
With some minor modifications you could make the coffee blobs be the thing that holds the other pieces and the bullet without the need of wire, for a cleaner look.
For future reference when designing bullets that have supposedly already been fired, you should just print the cap of the bullet as the casing breaks off once the primer ignites the gunpowder and the casting is ejected out of the gun.
If you look closely, there actually isn’t a casing on the bullet - the projectile is just really long for some reason. Edit: The 6.5 mm Carcano round looks a bit like that
This is incredible! In case you ever need to model a bullet again, the shape you printed includes the casing the bullet is fired from. The conical tip is the actual projectile. Amazing work!

it has roughly the same shape as old .45 caliber rifle cartridges minus the flat tip (.45-70, 45-90 etc.) if anything it looks almost exactly like a higher weight (150 grain or so) 30-30 Winchester. both of these are typically found only on lever actions, if I'm not mistaken the tip shape helps with feeding. it also doesn't look like a rimless cartridge either. the model is very much of a bullet, just an unusual/outdated one. it was probably a stylistic choice to have a longer bullet on this sculpture, i do think it follows the lines of the shrapnel pattern better.

The bullet is too long. It looks like you took the length of the bullet and the cartridge and just made them one piece. The bullet itself should only be about one third of that size for a typical pistol round, such as 9 mm, which is what this bullet appears to be modeled after. That being said, its still a bad ass piece. Well done!
You should make a version of this mug that actually works as a mug or even better make multiple of them and sell them because I would love to buy one of those
I feel like the entry side if the mug wouldn’t be blowing outward like that but I’m not 100% sure. Also the assembly looks really satisfying. You should make mug shot 3D puzzles.
They made it easy to print off plastic bullshit that is barely interesting at best, and will just get thrown out once whoever printed it dies. It’s just going to leech into the ground water in some landfill. Great job making another machine that makes plastic garbage. What a change for the world.
Not even comments on that he made the entire cartridge and called it a bullet but the issue I see is that is not how destruction via high speed projectiles works: The entry side would be pushed inward while the exit side would push outwards. In this case the front side would be blown in while the back would be blown out.
Really awesome piece! I enjoy the shattered pattern you used for the point of entry and exits. However one critique I have is that the bullet should be flattened. Bullets don’t keep their smooth pointed bodies after leaving the barrel. Instead they flatten whenever they hit something. Even hitting a fragile liquid filled mug would change the shape of the bullet. I recommend looking up some slow motion channels to see how the bullet changes as it hits whatever target they’re using, as well as how the different densities of the solids and liquids would change the trajectory as well so it wouldn’t be entering and leaving in a straight line either. Other than that I would absolutely love to see this as an actual mug one day.

@@printchallenge7158 Id print it
@@printchallenge7158 just curious is the print files ready??? Really want to print this and gift it to a friend.
By The Way, What you printed is actually a cartridge! If you want to be a little more realistic, The part that actually shoots out of the Barrel is the Lead Tip. @@printchallenge7158
It would be cool if the black part was made of some transparent material, so the liquid in the mug would be what would come out of the shot.
This is really cool! Will you make the printing files available anywhere?
A bullet shot a mug? 😂 💀👌 makes so much sense 💀👌
Bro took “black coffee” to a whole new level💀
NAHHH
Bro doesn't need an oscar, he needs a mug 💀
that’s not a bullet that’s a whole WWII cartridge-
"We fire the whole bullet. That's 65% more bullet per bullet"
-Cave Johnson
I have a suggestion, you could always hollow it out in blender to make the mug actually be able to hold liquid and have transparent filament be the outer shell. So as you filled up the mug the liquid would appear as if it was the thing being shot out of the mug. Although it may be difficult to clean
bro actually made a real mugshot💀💀
2 things where the bullet enters shouldnt make shards shoot out and also the bullet would be smashed up coming out
It’s not meant to be perfect, very cartoony look, so such mistakes are excusable
A bullet does not look like that after it's been shot. For one the shell is still on it!
Mug shot has to be one of the wittiest names I’ve seen given to a piece of art.
This is pretty cool bro
perfect 10/10 this made my day 😄
It would have been cool if it could still be used as a mug just with effect. Nice design though mate, very impressive.
The true mugshot
This deserves a sub(just subbed)
