This man was my 1st Sgt when he was wounded. I love this man. He’s a hero. And I’m proud to call him a friend today and I am so fortunate that I still have him for advice and guidance.

Let the man know pages on Facebook are impersonating and scamming old women. The names is Antonio parrino. He has a rose as his profile photo . My grandma has been victimized by him for nearly 5 years. So so so sad. I was able to reverse google imagine him to finally find info on the real man. Grandma not accepting reality unfortunately. God bless. Thank you for your time and dedication to your country, your family and mine. TY

@@Danielle-oi6bq I will let him know. That’s horrible. Please believe me when I tell you he has no knowledge of this. He’s way more honorable than that.

Nothings great about this nation, I don’t see any heroes here. Why does my fucking money and taxes and time go to some shitty war I never even fucking would have supported. Fuck all of the corrupt “political leader’s” that rule our society because they live in the highest social class. Wake up people! nobody is worth more or less than the other’s beside us. No “American” values should tell us otherwise. Stop going to war and invest in ways to make the children of this nation more successful!!

Semper Fi Marine! SGT. MAJ. Kasal was my recruiter in 1997. He put myself and 5 of my friends in the Corps. Honorable Marine. Never lied to us, never told us fairytales in order to get us to sign the contract. Just simply told us the truth. It's the Marine Corps, it's a living breathing thing. It's difficult because the Marine Corps is selective with whom they let wear our uniform. In fact, he told a couple other friends of mine that the Marine Corps wasn't interested in them. You don't hear that from a recruiter like, ever. and one of them told me about it, said SSGT Kasal told him to go to college, he wouldn't do well taking orders. He said he didn't want to bring problems in the Corps if he could help it because being a Marine is an honor and a privilege and he knew my friend would never understand that. He's seen his kind before.

I was fortunate enough to hear SgtMaj Kasal speak at Camp Pendleton's SNCOA graduation. It was one of the best speeches that I ever heard. He should have been selected as the SMMC.

This man is the epitome of what it means to be in the military. Don't know him, but heard of him and watched a documentary of what he did in that battle that earned him the Navy Cross.

What's so ironic is that the name "Kasal" is a Czech name meaning weak person, and yet this is one of the strongest, most courageous of men I have ever seen

Brad was a close friend of my mom’s boss when I was a kid wanting to be a Marine. I wrote him a letter and my mom’s boss gave it to him, said he was very touched by it, and brought back a sick USMC jacket and his challenge coin from a Sergeant Major (he was still a 1SGT) from him for me. Very cool guy, and a true hero as well.

Unfortunately, by that time the Marine Corps became political, like every other organization.
The Corps ended up going the political route and selected a very respected, but just not as qualified as Sgt Maj. Kasal.

Captain Furious He’s a war hero and a role model to a couple thousand Marines, including myself. When I came back from my first deployment he was standing there to welcome us home when he didn’t need to, and I’ll never forget that. I suggest you listen when he speaks, and research some of the things he did during his time in the corps. If you get the chance, tell him we miss him

Is there any way possible to get an age waiver approve at the age of 37 to join the Marine Reserves without prior service? Or is there anyone in the Marines an officer or someone with rank that I could submit a petition to ,for this to be consider? If anyone has some info that could help me with this, let me know, I would really appreciate it.

I have no idea what your implication is. We have a bunch of outstanding Sgt Majors across the army that have been there and sacrificed for their soldiers.
This guy actually reminds me of a specific Sgt Major I had in my battalion at Ft Campbell.
So keep that garbage to yourself.

Sword of Office? You gotta be sh!tten me. We dream up more rituals and gimmicks. SgtMaj is a rank. He holds a billet as a MEF SgtMaj. So what office? So does a Plt Sgt or Company First Sergeant now also have an office. What rubbish.

    • @globetrotternews
      @globetrotternews 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@lindacarlton3154 Not at all jealous. I retired from the Marines. No need to be jealous. I do know that young troops get tired of the gimmickery, parades and shining brass. We have elevated senior officer and enlisted positions to royalty. Just think of the man hours wasted and the costs involved, for what? The nation can ill afford to spend $800 Bil a year on our military. We have bankrupted ourselves and our grandchildren. So, I am not jealous, but I know we can do things smarter. Chesty would not be happy.

Kasal is a Marine Corps icon but understand that he was never in charge nor was ever a commander and no one works for him and he is in charge of nobody, he and I went head to head while I was the Operations Chief at I MEF (Vigil), as he tried to hold up my wounded warrior package but failed miserably. I on other hand was in charge of over two hundred enlisted Marines but had to answer to a Colonel with an RO named Berger, only the Officers are in charge and make the decisions. The enlisted only advise so we have to get over ourselves.
