  • @mateoottie
    @mateoottie 4 ปีที่แล้ว +163

Here's who all the rigs are: (Thanks Google, TH-cam Comments, and Equipboard!)
    1. John Frusciante (RHCP)
    2. Jesse Lacey (Brand New)
    3. Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains)
    4. Dustin Kensrue (Thrice)
    5. Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge)
    6. Slash (Velvet Revolver)
    7. Josh Travis (Emmure)
    8. Phil Keaggy
    9. Doug Wimbish (Living Colour)
    10. Julien Baker
    11. Pete Steinkopf (Bouncing Souls)
    12. Adam Jones (Tool)
Since everyone was asking, I figured I'd give it a shot!
Let me know if there are any mistakes!

The second Rig 1:51 was indeed the band Brand New. I believe the photo is from the rig rundown they did with Premier Guitar. The two amps as well as the pedal board on the top right belong to their guitarist/vocalist Jesse Lacey. If i'm not mistaken the switcher with all the tape on it is a Gig Rig, which Jesse uses to switch his pedals. The two guitars, as well as the pedalboard with the dime wah belong to their guitarist Vince Accardie. Not pictured is the Fender Super Bassman amp Vince uses

Probably others already commented this - Slash's rig is basically simple - he always goes simply into a marshall with an occasional use of some pedals. However - he uses different heads for clean and dirty and all of these heads have backups (maybe there's a backup for the backups as well). So all of those weird gadgets (loopers, switchers, whatevers) serves the sole purpose to be able to use any head with any pedals anytime :)

The John Frusciante rig is mostly justifiable, he uses the Line 6 for “Dani California” and “Throw Away Your Television” not sure why he has two Ibanez WH10 wahs but they’re pretty flimsy they break often. The ds-2 is for the ending solo of Dani California among other things. But the Moogs I’m not really sure about.

Hey Fluff!!! Great video! This is kind of unrelated to the video but also kind of related to what you do. I am what you call a noob at recording and am always curious as to how you, or others are able to record an amp demo, or song, etc. and get those heavy tones without damaging your hearing? For example, the recent video you did for the Soldano 100 was showing that the amp volume was pretty high, yet there was no IEMs or earplugs to block out the noise. Do you run the amp through a load box and simply record into your DAW? Or is there some known way of recording an amp through a 2 or 4x12, in a home studio setup, without disturbing the neighbors or, worst yet, severely damaging your hearing. I apologize for the length of the comment but I am here to learn as much as I can. Anyone else who may have some help or advice, I’d greatly appreciate it!!! Have a great day!!!!!!

The only thing he has on stage with him was wah. As far as heads.. He had 4 but was only running 2 at a time and 2 for backup. He had 2 JCM 800s and then his sig (2) Marshall which is essentially modded JCM 800s. His guitar tech does all of his switching for him including distortion so all his shit is behind the stage including a cab and a video monitor so his tech can hear and see him to know when to switch channels and shit.

I own slashes 2555 head and I know that tone out of any guitar player using that head, his tone is very straight forward, to have his sound you need that head chorus, talk box, wah, delay and that's it

Hahah epic rants! Loved this one, and I gotta agree with you on most these rigs. Good job Fluff, 4-1/2 beards!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥💥

2nd rig was Jesse Lacey of Brand New. That band got me into jazzmasters, orange amps, fuzz and delay pedals. damn shame he may or may not be a predator.

Fluff, I love ya bud...but that last rig belongs to one of the best tones ever Mr. Adam Jones and I would LOVE to hear why you think Slash is overrated! Still one of my fave guitar channels though homes. You're doing the lords work.

I’d like to see your thoughts of local h’s rig. Scott handles guitar and bass duties with a modded guitar and it sounds incredible live!

Man, the one with not connected Dimension C was lucky to get a beard! I would've have even given it a 12 year old's first whisker.

Just a random comment by a 15 year old player but. Slash isn't the best technical guitar player. But he has written some of the best guitar lines of all time. Idk just me but a guitar God isn't just someone who can play fast. But also play with emotions and write emotic music. He's what inspired me to pick up the guitar.

Idk, I definitely do associate the moogerfooger ring modulator with John Frusciante. I'm sure I heard it on stadium arcadium somewhere.
