I have the same!It was fashion in my country when i was 16!!Now they're so rare and if you find one is in bad condition!! Careful with this bike many people died here cause its so fast!!
exhaust is with catalytic converter.. was manufactured later on to comply with euro emissions and was fitted on piaggio typhoon125 and aprilia sr150 as well. Fantastic scooter, maybe the best ever made, don`t make them like this anymore.. KEEP IT , restore it, prices are already starting to rise rapidly, in Netherlands they are very sought after and now reaching 5000euro mark as in other parts of EU. As for the tyres, Sava is a Slovenian rubber manufacturer (named after one of the main rivers in the country). if you need some more info, shout..just bought my 4th runner ..and yeah, try not to use it for food delivery:)
Thanks so much for that info, you are a genius! Would it be worth fitting an original sm06 exhaust if I can find one? I see they are also rising in price but it would be nice to have it all original and restored some day!
Can you help me as why my electric system won't charge my battery and I have my battery indicator lit up on the dash? Battery is 1 year old and I taken it out the bike and charged it but when I ride the bike electrical dies off but the bike is functioning fine other than no lights and horn. Currently I ride only during the day. I don't know what the problem would be😢
The biggest problem was it was very desirable among thieves. In Slovenia, where those Sava tyres come from, around 40 of those were stolen. Keep in mind it is one of the smallest countries in the World, so not a lot of 180s were sold here (as new). Mine got stolen too in broad daylight in less than 2 minutes. I don`t know how, but I guess it took the thief to do his job in 30 seconds. I even saw him going away.
Oh the memories. Had the exact same bike/colour in Hong Kong back in 2002. Cheap as chips brand new. Insanely fast, a customisers dream -so many aftermarket goodies, think I upgraded the belt and carb. Only negatives: poor fuel economy, pretty sketchy stock Pirelli tires (changed to Michelin Pilot Sports) and smokey if not started for a few days. Sadly stolen a couple of years later 😞
@@RHauto There's actually a long established Vespa/Piaggio/Gilera dealership here. Runners were hugely popular here but hardly ever see them these days.

Glad to see you also enjoy your runner. Your jetting or tuning seems out. I get way more than 200km on a full tank on a 26mm carb.
Maybe there is more fuel in reserve than I thought 😂

@@RHauto would definitely put sm06, it will however be a hard find.. Heat shield even harder.. Try ebay Germany, I saw a couple recently

Exhaust is a sm04 off a 125, you can get the original sm06 made for the 172/180cc models
Thank you for the info. I'll keep an eye out for an sm06! 🙂

That's a pretty cool memory to have, were they sold in Hong Kong or did you have to import it in?

how many liters per 100 km ?
Scooter is amazing only bad point is the front fork when you go through potholes, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about😅
Are you talking about tank slappers? Like the way it bounces out of control?

@@RHauto yes if I find a vxr fork at a reasonable price I will do that. Tire pressure it affects it quite a bit you are right.

how many liters per 100 km ?
Absolutely
160L till Reserve? How? My goes to 100km... Barely!
How do you put in 2 stroke and petrol
2 stroke goes in under the seat and the petrol is opposite side of the key. If you push the key in the fuel door will open on your left side 👍
@@RHauto thanks coz I have a gilera runner fx
Looks like a gerry springer or really late registration thats old shape runner they stopped making new shape in 03

*Jerry Springer🤣
Have you got back box on there for deliveries?
I rather use a thermal backpack. Think it would look ugly with a box
Do they still make these
I wonder if I can get one in the US
I know there were a couple imported into the US, scooter swap shop has one in Oregon and made videos about it
