Yoo same bro. I played D1 but never really D2. I just bought the legacy pack with everything in it except final shape for $20. Been playing its actually fun af. I like how the light and darkness story is essentially like the annunaki and enlightenment kinda like halo 2

I'm in the same situation, completed everything in D1 and then burnt out around the time The Last Wish raid dropped. Now with all the hype for Final Shape (maybe it's just the idea of the end of the story build up after all this time) I'm tempted to jump back in properly. No idea if I have the time to even do it though!
I will personally say after taking a long break from Destiny and finally returning to it that it has been really enjoyable and I’m lowkey addicted again and they added a lot of intricacies so not only was I familiar with the basic premise, there was a lot I still had to learn! My friends who have stuck with Destiny also have said that this expansion is one of the best and a great time to hop back in! The only hard part is that Destiny is a grind heavy series that if you don’t keep up with, you can fall behind and they push heavy on having all the expansions so that you get to experience everything which when not on a crazy sale can be pricey! If you do happen to hop back in let me know and we can run some stuff together to get you back on your feet!
man you got your work cut out for you with crafting, especially seasonal weapons from the last 2 years. getting ahold of those is nearly impossible now.
@@TexanWolverine very nice! I ended up getting the final shape too just because I wanted to be able to see the end and also it’s what everyone is gonna be playing so I didn’t wanna be stuck playing only older content alone
I think crucible would be better if it was more of an arena shooter like Halo. Everyone starts with the same weapon load out. Power and special weapons spawn around the map. No artifact or armor mods. Everyone's melee, class ability, grenades and supers all recharge at the same rate except for when you pick up orbs of light.
@@vinny9500 see that could be a really good idea because other than Trials I barely touched the crucible so I only really know PvE god rolls and such not PvP so I go in against sweats and get dominated
I think they need to incorporate a league of legends into the PVP… little ads to then build up our PVE gear to then use in a crucible setting, would be awesome. If this was what gambit was, it landed fucking terribly 😭

PVP just feels cut and past with call of duty mixing in with the end game of everyone instakilling with the bloody golden shot 😪 it would just change the whole dynamic of PVP. Instead of orientating on mobility and PVP edge we could see people running builds meant for ad clearing to then push that same loadout online against the rabble! It’s a shame that call of duty’s template of multiplayer has had such a huge knock on effect where people have loved it but it doesn’t hold the reverence it had 10+ years on!
@@guerrinlove69 not necessarily, I put almost 800 hours into D1 and put about 100 or so into D2 in its early stages before any expansions came out so I was just discussing my personal experience of returning to the game and how it has changed since I last played
Im in the same boat. I been gone for years and the game is basically a different game

The movement, feel, & look is soo addicting, bungie can reallllly make timeless experiences
