That beginning man ,so impactful as a scene with how Dexter is so emotionless and cant express his emotions properly or at all with what he’s going through makes it all more what I expected to happen when Rita died ,idk why people hate this season so much and make it worse then the rest especially with lumen she was 10x better then Hannah and not so fake or manipulative to Dexter and the audience
Dexter wasn't emotionless, he's shown plenty of emotion. He showed sadness when he unalived his brother, he showed jealousy when his neighbor kissed Rita, he showed anger when he introduced Paul to the pot, he showed excitement when his work was discovered.
actually it was amazing and gut wrenching when he finally actually let it out in that cabin, when after unleashing his anger at that dough, it was the 1st time we actually got to see him cry... it was a rare occurrence seeing him like this... people don't realize that this is how grieving actually looks like... the initial shock, the inability to even comprehend what had just happened, then starting to get out of that shock into self blame, denial, anger, sadness, acceptance and in a way, with Lumen, he sort of got to get both revenge and redemption for Rita.
@@Joseph-gm3qm exactly, even here is not emotionless, it's a complete shock and that zoning out for a few, is the most natural way anyone can actually react for something like this. he was actually reliving a trauma and now has his own son added to that trauma... he shows plenty of emotions
@spirit0805 He was, unfortunately, taught by Harry that he didn't have any. Even true psychopaths have emotions, they just can't connect emotionally with other people. Not easily.
I really wish lumen had stayed longer. She was better than Hannah and she didn’t try to kill Deb in every scene. I also wish we got to see Cody and not just Astor
I prefered Hannah because she was capable of outsmarting people like the bounty hunter in the final episode and the Ukrainian gangster who was holding her captive
@@paulcasey4282 Worst part of Dexter was Hannah not dying. She tried to murder Deb, the Code should've guaranteed her death but the writers were in lala land by that point in the show
i think this entire season is when he was most vulnerable, see the 20 minutes mark, where they first lay eyes on the DVDs he was actually more disturbed by it than Deb and Quinn combined, looked like he almost had tears... clearly thinking BOTH on Lumen and Rita

Season 5 is my favorite,I was completely enchanted for Lumen, I really admire the character... her strength and courage really caught my attention, I wanted her to return to Dexter in the series Dexter: Resurrection ❤
Imagine If Lumen stayed and we got a Dexter and Lumen killing duo, that would have been epic. You know there actually was a leak that said we might see returning characters who left the show in Resurrection, maybe we will see Lumen again and find out she is still a killer all this time and her Dark passenger was just gone until something brought it back. Maybe wishful thinking but who knows.
there is something i wonder, the more the season progress, Dexter is seen doing this kind of mouth wiping motion, i wonder if it was Michael's cancer having its effect on him... for those who don't know, he filmed this season while actually battling cancer... you can go and see his acceptance speech for this season, actually entirely bold due to his therapies. thank god Michael was able to overcome it and now is ok, god bless you Michael C.Hall
I just wonder one thing. I can't figure out why Jordan Chase was like that. He got rejected by some blond girl or something? Very mysterious character. Y'all have some idea? Why he was that monster for this girls

12:25 Why did Lumen have to do Masuka like that 😂😂😂
💀
Bro I was thinking the same thing
that neck snap at 10:10 is something i've never seen him do before
He killed the skinner the same way with a broken wrist
4x12 and 5x1 are the moments dexter really had feelings
i think this entire season is when he was most vulnerable, see the 20 minutes mark, where they first lay eyes on the DVDs he was actually more disturbed by it than Deb and Quinn combined, looked like he almost had tears...
clearly thinking BOTH on Lumen and Rita
In terms of McH's acting range, this season has no rival

I’ve almost finished season 5 and tbh it’s sooooo much better than season 4 😅 but everyone says 4 is their fav
Underrated season

God, I hope so. I really liked Lumen.
10:07 “die die” 🤣
I honestly screamed out loud when I first saw that.
This is by far my favourite season. Perfection in the revenge motive.
I honestly love this season
They cut the best part in the end:
"Don't be sorry your darkness is gone. I'll carry it for you. Always."
I hope the Honorable Professor Masuka can make a comeback in the Resurrection.

One of my favourite seasons!
Underrated season everything after downhill minus Isaak sirko
Don’t diss Vogel and Zach Hamilton like that
You miss the good part where dexter was losing control
I just wonder one thing. I can't figure out why Jordan Chase was like that. He got rejected by some blond girl or something? Very mysterious character. Y'all have some idea? Why he was that monster for this girls
Thx brother
Paramount was the Bay Harbor Butcher all along...
The barrel girls killers were yet another serial killer under Miami PD's eyes. Talk about a low solve rate!
12:25 lol
underrated season
One of the best ❤
I love lumen sm
1:47 me and dad
Being autistic
Love it bro
@@OhHeBustinthanks
The end should've been Deb finding out Dexter was the BHB then, after she found out about the Camp. Overall a great season tho
never been so early
I feel like Jordan wasn't a bad villain but just couldn't keep up with the ice truck killer, trinity etc...
The only problem is that he appeared too late i think
