      It means you've been in the news, released a much buzzed sunscreen stick, and we're all kind of expecting you to gain huge #s here, get a brand deal, etc. Personally, I'm rooting for you to be on the morning tv shows as a skincare expert, but I imagine you have your own long term plan. We're all looking forward to being able to brag on our early support of you 😉

      @ it gives my skin such a nice glow, without actually looking "shimmery" at all. I tried the SumBum Glow before finding this, but the shimmer is so obvious, it accentuates all my pores and makes my skin look horrible. The Kroger is SOOO much better

    In-the-eye irritation for me - the oil on my lids breaks down and mobilizes everything in that area eventually, so my eyes will randomly start burning maybe 2 or 3 hours after initial application. The actual skin around the eyes is usually fine, ironically enough lol

    • @kimberlym6392
      @kimberlym6392 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Same! Sunscreens don’t usually burn the skin when I apply it, but several hours later, my eyes just start to slowly burn until it hurts to even keep them open. Usually causes me to tear up, and I have to wash my contact lenses to get everything off

    • @justAlittleNobody

    My go-to drugstore sunscreens are the Neutrogena clear face or the CVS clear zinc. They’re not the MOST elegant, but I feel like the dry down well and aren’t super greasy.
    Also, the burn I get is in my actual eye, not the skin around it. It usually happens slowly over a few hours, and the burn gets progressively worse until it hurts to keep my eyes open. Have to be careful!

  • @infinitigirl29
    @infinitigirl29 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would your opinin on the "skyn ICELAND Icelandic Youth Serum" that one has astaxanthin which I understand is an antioxidant too.
    Also, I have the Kroger sunscreen that I got after Dr. DRAY reviewed. It's weird that it bothers me on the folding of nose and, when a sunscreen bothers my eyes is when I feel it get in my eyes (I think it is because i have oily eyelids and the sunscreen moves).
    Love you Ramon.

    Most organic/chemical based sunscreens irritate and get into my eyes for some reason even if I powder on top. I guess it might be just due to the fact that sunscreen layers shift in the day. The only sunscreen of that kind that I've been able to actually tolerate is the Eucerin Oil Control Gel Crème. Other than that, I primarily use tinted mineral sunscreens around my eyes.

    I wanted to love that new Kroger Sunscreen, but it buuuurns and stings IN my eyes so bad. Like onion crying tears and for a few hours! I'm really bummed about this because I like the texture and finish. So for now I can only apply it from home avoiding the eye area(using another sunscreen around my eyes).
    Strangely I do not have that experience with the Unscreen Dupe from Kroger. I really like that one but I have heard you shouldn't use it because it has citrus oil in it. Thoughts?

    The Thayers milky toner has a high amount of "Potassium Hydroxide" in the ingredients which i read is very bad for skin? Can you confirm, Ramon?

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mm it’s complicated, but I wouldn’t say it’s bad for skin. It’s an alkalizing agent, meaning it raises pH. It’s also used in making soaps. In a context like this, I’m assuming it was used to adjust the pH due to the extracts involved and needing them to be at specific pH windows for efficacy? It’s also right next to citric acid on the INCI, which serves the opposite purpose. I think it looks high up on the inci and so it seems like a high concentration, but it potentially is still below the 3-5% mark

    Some sunscreens burn my eyes. I dont put them around my eyes, but it will feel like i literally have something like acid in my eye. Makes my eyes burn and water. So if i find a sunscreen that doesnt do it, and soaks in without being oily, i try not to stray. Nothing sucks like getting that burny eye feeling from sunscreen! it takes forever to make it go away, even after you wash it off.

    I live in Orlando, Florida. So, it is hot and very humid here. I get inside my eyes irritation of burning, blurring and tearings. Once i have to end up going to doctors a few years back bec i could not stop crying. They check my eyeballs ( drops n used black light) and i had chemical burns. My eye irritation is when spf gets into my actual eye. I am religiously careful but my eyes have hated every spf I’ve ever tried. I’ve found that tapping my sunscreen in as it is drying has helped a little. But I almost always have to use eye drops before I leave the house if I don’t want to be crying the rest of the day. The flush helps until I start sweating 😎🥲

    Sunscreen burns inside my eye. Like my eyeballs burn and I’ll eventually have to wash it all off. It has to be something with the scent of organic, American sunscreens. Mineral doesn’t do this. Asian doesn’t do this. Those classic sunscreen smelling sunscreens bother my eyes. La Roche Posay sunscreens are soooo strongly scented, they’re horrible for my eyes.
