I think critics can usually watch first 5 episodes so that's why usually on services like rotten tomatoes critic scores are shown even before show comes out in public
It all depends on what streaming service it is. Typically I'll get to watch a full series if it's on Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, or Apple TV (Severance was different, I watched the first 6 episodes) Disney and Max only send the first few episodes of a show to watch.

I am glad, though not surprised, that S 2 is great. One criticism: I had to watch the video at 1.2 speed, because you talk way roo slowly
