This is the BEST Peter. You have a gift for this format. No kinder gentler generous person to be found to edit the works of others and make it so rich and rewarding than you. Thank you, really feel the sharing.... O yeah, your edits are fabulous, opening my eyes.
Post processing skills are as essential as camera skills. I used work in a camera shop and was constantly having people buying certain camera models because they saw an amazing photograph that had been taken with it. But then they were always disappointed that they couldn’t get that “look” straight from the camera.
In the graphic design field, I've caused a lot of issue with not delivering perfect photos straight from .raw - literally just shoot, batch and deliver. There isn't a whole lot of time to edit or anything. I would say it's dumb to try and deliver 5 star products in zero time, but that's the reality of it.
When people see some of my photos (not saying that I'm the best but better than average point and shoot photographer) and they ask, "What kind of camera do you own ?" I always answered, "Give me yours and I'll take just as good of a photo with it." Post processing will make many ordinary photos better but that doesn't mean that you can't get an excellent shot in camera. It mostly involves knowing how to operate the camera you have (take it off auto-everything) and paying attention to lighting, composition, and subject matter.
4:45 the fact that you could zoom that far and still get a decent image is mind bogling
Get a good lens and you'll be surprised with the detail... But it's comes at a price

@@saifeldeenadel3491 photography is subjective however poor mr peter here is obsessed with making everything "instagram grid worthy". Ive seen so many photos where if he didnt crop away so much of the photo it wouldve had a much better voice as the original photographer likely intended .

This is such a great series, I feel like I learn a lot about framing and editing photos just watching it even though it's not anything like an in-depth tutorial. I also like watching the transition between the original photo and the final edit, it's really soothing to witness. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a very popular series. Thanks for this. :)

I just found your channel today by chance and I'm so happy I did! I've been sitting here for 4 hours watching video after video and each video is just amazing you are such a good teacher, I have learned more from your videos than I did from classes.
I found him because I needed to learn some specific skills, and I stayed for who he is as a person, but I do miss these interactive teaching videos. It's so true: he's an incredible teacher.

I absolutely love these editing videos and I wish you had more of them. I just stumbled across your channel recently and was bummed that there’s only a very few editing videos. You do such an amazing job with it, i could watch these all day.
Also I would love love love if you made some (or a lot of) tutorial series. I’m much more versed in Photoshop so could benefit more from Lightroom tutorials, but both are welcome. I always learn from how other people use these programs - gives me ideas of new ways to try things or menu options that I never think to use. You just seem to have so much knowledge - I would love to get more of it.
