I've recently been contemplating learning to play the pipes even though I'm quite late in my life (I'm sixty-eight). I figure I may not live long enough to become good at playing them, but at least when I want to be alone I can play them and repel any of my fellow Americans as they run away, screaming that their ears hurt!
