Hi manjula i tried ur recipe for rasmalai and it turned out extremely good and very soft and tasty. It was very delicious and my guests loved it very much and they also commented that it is too soft and tasty than in restaurants.I felt very proud!!! It was very easy and it also took less than an hour.I also substituted curd instead of lemon juice for curdling and i think if v use curd it would come extra soft.U can take this as tips for this recipe. Thanks for this easy and step by step recipe.
Hello Aunty, Thank you so much for such a wonderful and simple way of making rasmalai. My relatives and parents loved it so much that they asked me to make it again for Ugadi get together. I have become a great fan of your receipies aunty. Love you for such a guidance.
You're the best Manjula, we're Lebanese and we love indian food, your recipes are amazing and the best part of it is that you're explaining it sooo clearly, I made some of them and they came up good. Thanks alot Manjula and hope we see some new recipes soon :)
very informative & simple video........I live in Saudi Arabia & I had Rasmalai yesterday from a hyderabadi sweet shop here in Jubail - K.S.A 'nd was wondering about how to make it and its recipe. Thank God, this video helped me. Th'nk You Maám !

Hi Manjula Ma! Just made this and its cooling off in the fridge! I was so excited to make this (im 14) and can't wait for it to come out of the fridge. Thank You! :)
Wonderful recipe and made in a very warm homely style. I did follow this recipe as a guideline to make Ras Malai and also the recipe for making Rasgullas. It all came out very very good. Thanks!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Hello Mam, ur receipe is really awesome i tried this receipe at home it was the best of all ...i suggested my friends & relatives to watch ur recipe...thanks mam!!!!!
@itbestuk Making rasgulla or rasmalai is not difficult but it is very touchy how much water one squeeze from the paneer, how much lemon juice you added to make paneer and how much you knead the paneer, I think you have added little extra lemon juice while making paneer or you squeeze too much water from the paneer.
dhanyawaad Manjula-ji -- mere dost yeh mithai bahut pasand tha. :) he says you are the best teacher. :) next from his favorites I will try will be cashew burfi....
@Manjulaskitchen Many thanks for the reply! I gave the Paneer a really good squeeze in the Cheese Cloth and after they had been cooked in the Syrup I squeezed the Syrup out of them quite a bit before adding them into the milk at the end of the process.I will try again this weekend. I have been watching you videos for a while now and I have learnt loads about cooking great food, thank you!
you make it look so easy, thanks for sharing such wonderful dishes. i am going to make it for my daughter tomorrow. Happy bijoya dashami to you and you entire family.
namasteh auntie manju you are a lovely lady and you explain everything step by step so even somebody like me can easily learn without too much fuss could you please show me how to make rice idlis and rice chapatis i would be really grateful
Hi didi how are you ? I LOVE you and the wonderful food you cook ...Thank you for posting it for all of us ....Stay well and Happy by the way, I do not have pressure cooker can I cook it in a regular pot?
I buy this desert from the grocery store frozen, and I just defrost it in the fridge. I'm not a great cook lol, but I love eating this, it's so good. It's a shame that many of the people I know are not open minded to try Indian food because it's delicious.
Excellent video - this and the rasgulla one before - Thanks!! You make it look so easy!! I was wondering if you have ever tried to use store-bought Ricotta cheese to make the paneer for ras malais? I am American and my whole family LOVES ras malais but they take so long to make - I am searching for a short cut but still want them to be light and delicious like yours appear to be!!! (I can almost taste them!)
Hi Manjula. Thank you for the recipe. It was very delicious, but I don not have a pressure cooker and so had to make do with a regular pan. As a result the texture of the paneer came out a little rubbery. How long and at what temperature would you recommend boiling it in a pan? Thank you!
Hi, I cooked the rasmalai the other week and it came out really well. I cooked it again today and it seems to have a slight rubber like feel in the mouth! Do you know what I have done wrong?
Dear Manjula Thank you once more. This was clear and very well done. Could you help me with the recipe for a similar sweet called Basundhi? It does not need the Rasagullas. Way out here in Australia, I long for 2 simple sweets - Basundhi and Wheat Halva. Thank you for your wonderful recipes. We wish you good health and happiness always. H & N
Hello Mrs. Manjula, I followed your recipe and tried making it for the first time. It turned out really good (Rasgulla was in perfect shape and Ras was yummy) except that Rasgulla didn't absorbed as much ras from it as it is supposed to. Can you please give me any suggestions?
hello aunty, today i have learnt rasgullas and rasmalai from you ... i am going to try them in the evening ... they look exceptionally good ... But there is a small question ... please let me know if we could use paneer that is available in the market? for example verka paneer
Namaste Aunty!! I really like your recipe. But I have one doubt. While preparing rasgullas did you added sugar in the syrup or the sweetness in the milk is enough??
quick question. On the resgulla video you say you mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of water, but on the recipe on your website you say to mix 1/4 cup of lemon juice with 1/2 cup of water. What is the correct mixture? Thanks and take care.
Do you mean any milk that's stored in tetra pack as opposed to glass or plastic, or the UHT milk that doesn't need refrigeration until you open it? My experience is that you can curdle any milk, but fatter milk is and tastes better than no fat. Also malai means cream, so typically ras malai is made with half and half, or equivalent.
Thank you Auntie Manjula. You dont know how grateful I am that you take the time to show us how to make such delicious and beautiful Indian dishes. Its so helpful because I am addicted to Indian food but there isnt any good restaurants where I live so I just follow your videos and make my own.

Cooked these today, worked really well they came out perfectly!!
My local Sweet Center charges £5 for a box for Six pieces, so knowing how to make these at home is amazing.
The ones I normally buy have a splash of condensed milk added to the Malai (Milky Sauce) this really does make a difference to the taste - delicious,
Thanks you,
Iain

Hi Manjula. Thank you for the recipe. It was very delicious, but I don not have a pressure cooker and so had to make do with a regular pan. As a result the texture of the paneer came out a little rubbery. How long and at what temperature would you recommend boiling it in a pan? Thank you!

Hi Manjula, thanks for the lovely recipe. Can you please confirm whether the rasgulla should be hot or cold when we put it in the hot milk? Thank you
@IVercettiM
did not take enough water from paneer
Hello Manjula Ma'am!
I was wondering, instead of using whole, can evaporated or condensed milk be used?
The consistency ought o be same right?
PS Do you ever add rose water to the final milk sauce with the cardaman? (I like the smell of it!) Or saffron? (I like that smell too!)
hello Manjula aunty, could u please tell that after making the rasugulla you put those into water , was it cold or warm water or syrup?
Dear Manjula, can we use khoya to thicken the milk to make rasmalai?

hi manjula, how are you.you used the black thing cardmoms. what is the cardmoms means....
quick question. On the resgulla video you say you mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of water, but on the recipe on your website you say to mix 1/4 cup of lemon juice with 1/2 cup of water. What is the correct mixture? Thanks and take care.
hi i was wondering if you an use elaichi instead of the cardomon powder?
Do you mean any milk that's stored in tetra pack as opposed to glass or plastic, or the UHT milk that doesn't need refrigeration until you open it?
My experience is that you can curdle any milk, but fatter milk is and tastes better than no fat. Also malai means cream, so typically ras malai is made with half and half, or equivalent.
