I'm still really on the fence about David Day with how he fills in gaps Tolkien left himself without stating he does so. kind of weird imo Your colelction is amazing! The deluxe edition is something I'm really envious about, awesome!
I have that set of 4 middle right with the illustrations. Though I have yet to actually read through them yet when I get the time I am looking forward to experiencing it.
If you are that into his works, I recommend one of his biographies that really gives insight into where his stories come from. The one I read that I really liked was "Tolkien and the Great War."
I'd recommend that you look out for the new hardback of The Complete Guide to Middle-earth by Robert Foster and illustrated by Ted Nasmith. Plus in November the Deluxe Silmarillion that matches your red LOTR looks to be a great book from the pictures.
I've actually JUST picked up The Complete Guide! I've had a flick through today and I'm loving it 😅 I've also got the Deluxe Silmarillion on pre-order 👀 Excited to keep adding to my collection
try 'the atlas of middle earth' by karen wynn fonstad and 'the road to middle earth' by tom shippey... 'atlas' has amazing detail and info about maps and diagrams and battle formations...'road' is a collection of essays that provide insights and background to tolkiens themes...
That's a great collection! That red hardback gave me some serious envy 🤣 One of my favourite stories, though my collection is just one hardback of the trilogy and the hobbit.

1:43 is a perfect example as to why you should leave air gaps between your books. Thanks for the video. Nice collection.
Nothing to do with air, that's bleaching from direct light, probably sunlight.
Very nice collection! I have a lot of these same editions, and some different ones!

Wow O.o awesome and precious collection. Those editions seem to have an almost historical value >.
Thank you! I'm hoping to pick up some more too 👀

They both sound fantastic! I've also *just* picked up The Complete Guide to Middle-Earth by Robert Foster which is like an Encyclopedia 👀

The red hardback is my pride and joy 😍 I've been re-reading through the illustrated hardcovers recently though
What's the ISBN of the "Tales from the Perilous Realm"-book?
how many pages if you add up all the books?
Hi Oracle, how do you compare the Tolkien Treasury set vs. Tales from the Perilious Realm hardback? Does the previous set have more illustrations?
I love the Alan lee editions. I wish we got em in the us. I payed to import them.
i hope someday i can get all these books :)
Kayan Kollyn ❤
The great fantasy adventure book series by V VN Mangukiya 😊
My favourite book after Harry Potter 😊😊😊
Waiting for your review ❤
Just to let you know David days works are considered inaccurate and not recognized by Tolkien scholars as a trusted source for tolkiens work.
They have the best art though.
Everything is great except for David Day
Show something inside. Covers, paintings, the size of letters
I shared a flick through of some of them here! th-cam.com/video/tpx0hry3UVw/w-d-xo.html
We must find sanctuary in his works to wash away the infuriating insult that is the rings of power!
No Easton Press???? Blasphemous.
