As a blackman, I must say we have alll done and said things we were immediately ashamed of. The only difference is his moment went viral at the start of "woke america". He could be acting, but he seems very sincere and kind. He has been through a lot . He battled cancer. He has a family. It was a long time ago. Jesus said forgive 7 x 70. Time to move on.

Michael was never really cut out to be a stand-up, he's much more of a comedic actor-and a great one at that. He has an intensity about his craft that you can see prior to that set in 2006... he would rehearse with low energy and say he was "saving it" for the audience, and when his fellow castmates would mess up during the actual performances he would get upset. He still kept professional, but you could see a building frustration and anger at Julia cracking up or someone else messing up their lines. His saving up a performance was for nothing, and that "special moment" was gone now.
Now, removed from the studio, he was trying to get back in some form of comedy and started doing more of something he had been doing prior to Seinfeld: stand-up. He approached it with the same intensity he had always had with anything he considered his craft, and with that intensity came the same frustration and anger when he was interrupted or when someone stopped his performance. This time, he wasn't with castmates, comedians are supposed to handle hecklers, and at a time where comedians were being pretty edgy Michael chose to go in a direction he wasn't known for and wasn't all that practiced with to handle that night's hecklers. Instead of seeming like an edgy comedian that skirted a line he seemed like an angry racist finally getting a chance to lash out-but really he was neither, he's just a sensitive and intense craftsman who was responding to being made upset. It wasn't pretty, it deserved criticism, but it definitely didn't deserve extinguishing a man, especially one so gifted and great.

Big lesson here. Learn to forgive, tolerate and move on. EVERYONE makes mistakes, EVERYONE has moments when their anger boils out. Learn, get better and move on! Thank you Michael for creating and playing one of the funniest characters television has ever seen. You brought me so much joy and laughter that never gets old...even after seeing the reruns dozens of times! You made your own place in entertainment history. Relish it!

I’m 40 and just watched the entirety of Seinfeld for the first time the last few months. He kept that show alive without a doubt. An amazing actor I admire without a doubt. This is the first I’ve heard of his real world mistakes. If he were running for president of USA, his past comments wouldn’t matter. Nothing more American than forgiving stupidity.

When I was a teenager, I was quite gangly and very goofy, didn't know what to make of myself. Michael Richards' Kramer gave me confidence to embrace myself for all my entricities, I didn't know at the time but it really helped me develop into a man. I was shocked about the 2006 show (full denial, til a friend showed me), so glad he's dealt with it and moved on in life. That it took so long says how seriously he took it, I feel. His performance in Seinfeld is immortalised! Be at peace ❤
