my all time idol.......used to watch him from the bullens road end......a left foot like a magicians wand.....greatest left midfielder ive ever witnessed
One of the best left-sided players I've seen play. Wasn't the greates at defending or running back, never blessed with pace, but his passing and shooting ability was brilliant.
Watching this kinda pleases me but upsets me at the same time, almost 35 years after this we,re still awaiting for an Everton side to get a fraction away from a side such as the mid 80,s one.
I used to set my clock by that Everton team, Roy. They were fantastic and would have done some real damage in the European Cup had the ban not affected English clubs.
Many people forget, he got a lot of stick from the terraces at times. Workrate was never his thing, but that left foot could conjure up some magic. Thought the way he was moved on by the club was disrespectful after the service he gave.
Everton and Liverpool were the two best teams in Europe in the mid 80s. The European ban was a disgrace and just an excuse to get rid of English teams because we were dominating Europe at the time. To win our league back then you had to be the best team in Europe. Man u even had a good side in the mid 80s but it was so difficult to win our league
Ban cause of domination? I thought it was because anywhere english fans go, trouble comes with them. RIP to the Heysel victims , Karma came back to LIverpool.
A mate of mine went to school with him at St Mary's Lugwardine. He even played in the same school team as him for a couple of games. He said Sheeds was on a different planet!
Simply the best left footed striker of a ball bar none. I feel privileged that I was able to be present at most of those games. Outstanding.
those two freekicks will never be forgotten by me amazing

One of the greatest Welshmen to ever play for ETFC. RIP
@@Chief_Brody one of?????
@@kevshearer3245 yes! exactly!
@@Chief_Brody Little bit of Welsh and a little bit more of Irish.
High praise indeed Kev. As an Irishman and an Everton fan, I, like you, loved Kevin Sheedy.
Jesus christ most of the goals here are world class. That volley against cuty though! Respect from a spurs fan.
Another one of my all time favourite players. Wonderful player
My favourite Toffee of all time. What a left foot!
Kevin Sheedy was a fantastic player with a magical left foot
Signed from Liverpool if my memory serves me right.
That is correct, he was signed from Liverpool. In fact I saw him play for Liverpool in Ireland against a team called Home Farm.
He was great to watch even for a Manchester United fan.
Best number 11 everton ever had .and best free kick taker ever. Bless you kevin rip.
Incredible player nearly one goal every three games, tonnes of assists over a long career, super Kevin sheedy.
One of the best left-sided players I've seen play. Wasn't the greates at defending or running back, never blessed with pace, but his passing and shooting ability was brilliant.
As left footer and Everton fan he was the easy choice for my favourite player...

Something tells me ancelotti will do something about that
🤦♂️

Love this video, what an amazing player he was
Truly a superb player along with outstanding team-mates supporting each other.
Everton Legend! greatest left foot I have ever seen, mid 80s were great times hope we can get back to those standards. COYB
AMAZING from an Essendon Bombers Fan!
Sheedy was a genius of a player. Very few players like him. EFC King
Beautiful player and a beautiful person too 🥰
The man was a legend for both club and country. Quite a modest guy in real life too
Many people forget, he got a lot of stick from the terraces at times. Workrate was never his thing, but that left foot could conjure up some magic. Thought the way he was moved on by the club was disrespectful after the service he gave.
Hard to watch this and compare it to where we are today 😢
Loved him
Mike Hooper was beaten before the ball was struck.
what a player...brill
97 goals in under 400 games is a 1 in 4 ratio... Sheedy should have more respect on his name . Proper legend !
Absolute genius adored him magical times and have had the pleasure of having a few pints with this true gentleman.
The retaken free kick v Ipswich fa cup him and baines when taking a free kick brilliant both of them
I can vividly remember that goal against city from the family enclosure
Was at that Ipswich game , even Paul Cooper applauded the audacity of the free kicks
Kevin Sheedy Awesome 😎 Fantastic Merseyside Blue 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Imagine the fuss if played for one of the top snide teams
Speedy and Coleman should be given the best
Love Sheedy immensely, unfortunately he DID NOT win the FA Cup
Greatest ever Everton player ever in my opinion, Absolute wand of a left foot.

He had an elder brother called Michael who was also a fantastic player.
However, Michael had loads of
footballing ability but not too much dedication
Sheedy sheedy sheedy
My Left Foot.
HEREFORD UNITED origins
A mate of mine went to school with him at St Mary's Lugwardine. He even played in the same school team as him for a couple of games. He said Sheeds was on a different planet!
What is there to say?
Put a figure on sheeds value today?
Irish genius
What a player Christ could we do with him now . Thanks Kevin 💙💙💙
Sheedy was a Welshman but played for Eire
Half Welsh, half Irish. Can we agree on that.
The irish Pele.
The reason I'm a Toffee!!!
The wand
The left foot of god
Disallowed goal free kick, No bother I’ll stick it in the other corner.
