Wonderful! I appreciate you talking through your process and some alternate options. Your explanations are very helpful. I've never tried this before, but you make it sound approachable. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for making this video!
TH-cam algorythm recommending me some quality content ✨️ I learned so much about lino cutting just from this video! I kept hearing the term thrown around when I was still in art school, but never really knew what it meant in practice. So cool! The sound of your voice kept getting louder and quieter during the video and was a bit distracting, but other than that - lovely stuff!
Thanks so much for writing such a thoughtful comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! This one gave me a heck of a time trying to get all the volumes right...so strange the volume goes up and down! Something to double check in the future for sure 👀
How did you come by that printing press, please? Is it handmade? If so, could you tell us where we can find the plans and parts list? It looks like the perfect press for an artist who doesn't need a floor standing press to run huge editions.
It's an amazing press made by WoodZilla! They have an etsy store, a web-store and they sell through Speedball (north america). I bought mine off of Speedball's website since I live in Canada! They also have Instagram (@woodzilla)
The tools are made by FlexCut!! I got them from Lee Valley Tools but you can buy directly from FlexCut or Amazon :) they're really good tools...wish i bought them years ago!
Honestly, any kind I can get my hands on! My favourite are the softcut blocks by Essdee. But the ones shown in this video were purchased from Amazon - softcut linoleum was my search and these came in a 20 pack!
Hint: don't remind us to " like" so close to the end that we haven't got time to do do without re-entering the video a second time just To hit " like". Talk a bit after, or do the request earlier in the video. It's frustrating especially when viewing on tv to not have time to accomplish this without it going into the ending advertisement
I hadn't thought about it from that perspective before! I try to only say it at the end because I didn't want to come off as "pushy" or only making videos for likes! Maybe I'll make the request at the beginning and the end of the video
